The Pod Point was installed on Friday 18th August and so far hasn't worked even though i paid in full upfront. The emergency support does not get answered over the weekend or outside of business hours and I have also called and eventually spoken a number of times and not received any answers or real support. Only been told they are running remote diagnostics and will call me back. I have not received any calls and now wonder if I should demand a refund or get EDF to chase as they recommended PodPoint.

Very complicated, not a user-friendly process. You yave to be an electrician to complete the pre paperwork which is very complex. Then was charged an extra £65 an hour on top of already paying for fitting already as I was informed it was a complex fitting - I live in a mid-terraced house I still fail to see how this could be complex. The fitting took place over a week after the car was delivered so was unable to charge the car at home when i first got it. Numerous emails to them were left unanswered.

Don’t be fooled by reviews about great installation (my install was also great), this review is about living with a Pod Point Charger after a couple of years. Despite Pod Points website listing their chargers as compatible with many brands I have had issues getting over 3.5kw from my 7kw unit and Pod Point tell me their is a compatibility issue with the 8 different vehicles I have tried to charge. I have been back and forth since early April and despite multiple firmware updates and even a hardware replacement my charger is still failing to output at the specified rate, an issue Pod Point have acknowledged is an issue with compatibility they are trying to solve. The reality of this is that I have to pay to charge outside of my EV tariff time zones costing me in the region of 3-4 times the amount. On another review Pod Point made public reach out asking me to contact a specific email address, unfortunately this was just a public gesture and they have failed to respond to me. I have also emailed both their customer and complaints team, both of whom also no longer respond. Today I have unfortunately been forced to file with the courts for the cost of an alternative replacement charger due to the product not being fit for purpose or compatible as advertised.

Not the quickest to respond when charger is not working. I have had to chase for a response - both email and phone direct - each occasion they said the tech team would get back to me - 1 and a half days later - still no reply, and car is sat on the drive with a flat battery and no idea when someone will come out and fix? Now on my push bike to work. Shocking back up support service, simply not acceptable. I would advise looking for an alternative brand and supplier. I am, because I do not have faith in product or back up

Shortly after the installation of our home charger we lost all power to the property. Pod-point were adamant this was nothing to do with their work but we had an electrician in who diagnosed that a wire had been left loose. Pod-point has refused any refund or reimbursement of costs!

I’m very disgruntled with the way that I have been treated. I know that it took time to get going but since then it’s impossible they a sensible conversation from them. The only thing they have been 1st class at was taking my £1117 from me. I still don’t know how I stand with availability, installation or with a commission date.

Podpoint harge installed on the 10th July. Tried to use it 4cdays later and it did not work. Spoke to Podpoint to get this fixed. Got an email on the 18th July saying someone will get in touch to arrange a visit Went on holiday for 8 days came back still no contact from Podpoint. Rang again on the 31st July, was told nothing have been scheduled. Wait on the phone for ages to be told someone will get in touch today. Email was recieved and I have to wait until the 9th August, one month later from the installation date, customer service is poor.

Ordering and installation was very easy however the communication with surveyors was terrible. It took weeks for them to respond to emails to determine if the property was suitable for an installation. The email responses were uninformative and did not provide the necessary information or answer the questions I had. This resulted in car delivery being delayed. Very frustrating.

Timescale from payment (they take your money up front) to installation was 2-3 times what was originally quoted when I booked & paid. Engineers were always late or missed appointments entirely. PodPoint generally took a week to reply to e-mails and then only did so when chased. Customer Service in general has been consistently abysmal. In my case there was some additional work which needed doing beyond the standard installation, but the price they charged for this was astronomical - equivalent to an hourly rate of more than £180 per person for some fairly basic building work using minimal materials. When the work was finally finished I was left with an unsealed hole in my house's brickwork where rainwater could enter as well as some other minor damage. Unfortunately, because they take almost £1,000 up front, I felt inclined to see it through rather than demand a refund early on at the first signs of trouble. I wish I'd gone for the refund, because it just got worse and worse the more I had to deal with them.

Had the charger for approximately a week when it broke. Technical team don't work weekends so had to wait 4 days to get someone to come out and fix. Very little assistance/contact from customer service. Came out and replaced the board within the charger. The next time I charged it the charger failed again. Again awful experience with customer service who don't get back to you. Kept being told it was me who was the problem (settings in car stopping the charge) although I could charge elsewhere perfectly fine and send them a photo of the car settings where they couldn't point out the problem because there wasn't one. Constantly told they have "amended settings" their end (very vague) on two occasions which should resolve the issue.

I had an engineer out 4 times before it was correctly installed and working. first engineering not qualified to install it second one not given details of what had to be installed shortly after the circut breaker failed and had to be replaced throughout the unit failed to release the cable from the pod. Engineer came out for a forth time and replaced parts. It took over 5 weeks 4 home visits and numerous calls to customer services before I got a correctly working pod.

I have been experiencing issues with the rate of charge not getting above 4.3kWh (incidentally I know 2 people with the exact same fault who are also getting nowhere with podpoint). I contacted podpoint in April and they just employ stalling tactics such as checking the cars software and try again, check the cars setting and try again, check the schedule and try again. Each response takes over a week to receive and essentially nothing is being changed so the outcome is the same and it is partially irritating that I had already confirmed everything they asked. As a result of the low output I am now forced to charge outside of my EV tariff hours which has quadrupled my charging costs. My unit is around 2 years old and podpoint appear unable or unwilling to support any kind of diagnosis or resolution. Looks like my only option is to pay for removal of the podpoint and fit a new unit from a professional company such as Ohme! Don’t waste your money with podpoint! Update: 14/7/23. Despite the public reach out on another review site 2 months ago from Podpoint the reality is they are ignoring my emails. They have firmly blamed the vehicle manufacturer for the issues despite the issue being exclusively experienced on Podpoint chargers, and the unit charging the vehicle for the first 18 months of ownership. Essentially they will mis-sell you a product that is (by their own admission) not fit for purpose, run you round in circles devolving any responsibility whilst failing to honour the warranty, and then ignore any attempt on your part to have the issue resolved. Due to the low output I can no longer use my reduced rate hours to charge at home meaning my charging costs have quadrupled as a direct result! Hardly encouraging from a company they would benefit from EV uptake.

I have a Solar panel. I told the engineer before the installation. He said, that's fine. But after the installation, when I asked how it would use the electricity from Solar panel. He said, he does know about. This is really frustrating and I want full refund if you can't with Solar Panel.

Customer service experience has been a complete disaster. Was in the call queue at position number five for FORTY-FIVE minutes. Clearly there is nobody there on a Friday. Charger brand new, does not work, instructions also do not work and raising a case via the app just caused the site the give error messages about their CRM Salesforce. HORRIBLE customer experience, REALLY REGRETTING my decision to buy Pod Point!!

Had my POD POINT installed in November, my new car delivered last Thursday (now Tuesday)..the POD POINT does not work, it took an hour to speak to an 'expert' advisor who could not help. Apparently the POis not activated on their system. Another department were supposed to call back the same day. I have had no contact from them, can't email just leave a message on their feedback form, I have done this twice...Still nothing. Poor customer service and can't charge my car. I work in the community for the NHS.

Podpoint have been unable to rectify an issue that prevents the charger being used. An expert has declared Podpoint latest remedy, one of several, would not work. I have asked for the charger to be removed. They have refused to do this. Legal proceedings are ongoing.

There is a recurring fault on my home charger. Pod point are extremely difficult to contact to get any customer support. There is an online service request form that no one replies to and a phone line cue that never goes down.
