About Pod:

I am disgusted with the lack of customer service. Communication was appalling and every request for assistance had to be made by phone as emails were only answered with standard, meaningless messages. After 3 weeks of sending photos, they said they couldn't lay a short run of cables in the loft because it was only partially boarded. No refund has been received although I had to employ a local electrician to carry out that work. Having said all that, the engineer was very helpful and professional.

Please avoid this company as all costs. Appalling customer service, especially their technical support. Reported a fault on my home charger to Pod Point (EV wouldn't charge). The customer services team has been unbelievable poor, no response to emails, meaning you have to constantly chase for updates. Engineer was schedule to attend but failed to turn up, no reason was given. I wrote a complaint that was ignored. When engineer did attend he could not resolve the fault. Investigated myself, as this was 6 weeks after the fault was initially reported, found they had damaged the comms cable on install which was a simple fix. They've now cancelled and their engineers second visit and I'm having to chase as to why. Please avoid this company as all costs.

Messy, left rubbish and dust everywhere. Not professional staff wither. Was on his phone the whole time to his mates, talking about mistakes made on his jobs the week before, swearing. Wouldn't recommend it.

Endless stress dealing with pod point. Pod point do not survey your house, they do it off pictures/videos. This resulted in us being quoted nearly a thousand pounds extra of work. THREE months later and endless emails/phone calls someone attended our property to survey. The extra work quote was now £54! I’ve never dealt with such a difficult unhelpful company. The outlay of 3 months of public charging points and the inconvenience too. I wouldn’t not recommend pod point. However Hayden who finally come out to help, was very helpful in advising and then eventually installing

Very poor customer service and very slow to fix faults. Charger unreliable and fails when you need it. It then takes 10 days to get an engineer to visit. Poor communication and lack of care.

Install of podpoint was a long arduous affair to get to the stage of a simple install. Installers have installed the unit ok, however they damaged and broken my consumer unit door so it no longer locks with a key. I called the engineer an and they dismissed it as nothing they can do as don’t have the ability or tools to fix it. Not happy at all and will be looking for podpoint to rectify the damage they caused.

Where do I start ? After a really long day coming to Margate from London to visit my sick relative in hospital along with my two elderly sisters. Decided I would charge the car for an hour to ensure we would get home. I plugged the car into a pod point charger and off we went to have a warm drink came back an hour later to find I could not release the cable, I called pod point and they tried several times to release from the main system, however that did not work, the telephone advisor told me someone would call me to help, which he did , I tried several things to no avail, he then told me he would need to come to my assistance, when I asked where he was coming from as he was the only one on call, weston super mare 4 hours away . I’m absolutely shocked that this was the closest person who was able to assist us and he would not get here until after midnight, the time I called was 19.40 tired , hungry, and totally fed up with this appalling service I will not be using pod-point again and most certainly will not recommend to anyone. The government are encouraging people to buy electric vehicles, but need to monitor how the providers can offer proper support to their loyal customers. Only having 1 person on call for the night is ridiculous. There needs to be more staff on call over the uk, may I Suggest they train more staff. I hope no one else needs assistance because they will have a long wait.

From day one customer service was disgraceful. No phone calls, emails to say appointment cancelled almost 7 week from paying to installing. Only good experience was the fitter James. Would not recommend this company

Utterly dreadful experience. The engineers that come out are brilliant - couldn’t be any nicer. However the booking experience is chaotic at best. You need to battle to get the central booking team just to keep the installer on-site and not go off to another job. The problem is they take all your money up front, promise a good experience then it feels like they hold you to ransom. Because I had already paid up front and the job had eventually started I continued with the process. Could not wait another month using a three pronged plug to charge the car or I would have cancelled the job. The installers themselves are brilliant.

Been having WiFi connections problems since installation over 2 yes ago. This does no effect any other device I have connected to my WiFi. It's intermittent but has gradually got worse over time to present day where I can no longer reconnect manually following the podpoint guide. On one occasion it was suggested there was a motherboard fault but at no time could I get an engineer to come. I am now no longer able to use the timed settings in the podpoint app to take advantage of cheap electric overnight and the only way to do this is to stay up until 12:30 at night and then plug the charger into the car, else I have to charge at the more expensive day rate. It's getting rediculous so I have decided to lodge a formal complaint. Just waiting for someone to send me the complaints procedure. If I don't get it it I guess I'll have to go through the Ombudsman. Appalling service. Such a shame cus when the charger does work it's great and the app is very useful.

The App is not user-friendly. staff member tells you what they think is right to finish the call at that point. I would not recommend it to anyone. They did not explain the app or the reason behind having a key lock.

The Pod Point has been fitted to our property for 6 days and hasn't worked yet. Several attempts to arrange a replacement has failed. I asked for it to be removed and refunded the money, so i may buy from another supplier, I was cut off.

Awful. Bought the car 5/5/23, pod point installed 18/8/23 and it’s the wrong one !!!!! Still waiting to hear from Bob or Dominic about when the correct, ordered charger can be installed.

Received an electric vechile with nhs salary sacrifice scheme. Have the car 5 weeks now and still no pod point. They had sent an email stating that they need clarification that I own the house and from then will not answer the call. The local installation team just hang up and costumer services will not answer. The driveway usually holds my mothers campervan so is more than adequate. It would be good to hear from them to see what else they need however because they have already been paid they don’t care. The call logs are extensive and still no reply. Have screen shots here with number and length of calls which are ridiculous. I’m a nurse and have been wasting an hour each day during lunch breaks in an attempt to get talking to someone.

The installation by Edward was done very professionally. He was very patient explaining all the features. However the time from ordering to installation was too long being 22 days. Shortly after installation the charger stopped working which was reported on 25 August. The projected repair visit I was given was 11 September when I am not available. I rang to try to arrange a suitable date only to be told that I could not speak to anyone to rearrange an appointment. That was 2 days ago and despite emailing back I have not been given a new date. This is appalling treatment. Having to wait 17 days for a repair on a new installation is unacceptable as is the fact that I have had no response to my e mail.

The Pod Point was installed on Friday 18th August and so far hasn't worked even though i paid in full upfront. The emergency support does not get answered over the weekend or outside of business hours and I have also called and eventually spoken a number of times and not received any answers or real support. Only been told they are running remote diagnostics and will call me back. I have not received any calls and now wonder if I should demand a refund or get EDF to chase as they recommended PodPoint.

Very complicated, not a user-friendly process. You yave to be an electrician to complete the pre paperwork which is very complex. Then was charged an extra £65 an hour on top of already paying for fitting already as I was informed it was a complex fitting - I live in a mid-terraced house I still fail to see how this could be complex. The fitting took place over a week after the car was delivered so was unable to charge the car at home when i first got it. Numerous emails to them were left unanswered.
