Installation was rushed by your operative "Frank". The installation around the meter area is ugly and I'm not sure it meets the requisite regulations. The mains splitter/terminal box is mounted directly to the wall along with your cutout. Normally I would have expected these devices to be mounted on a separate meter board. All the meter seals have been removed and I assume I've now got to get EDF to replace them.

Very bad to get them contacted. Customer care is not very helpful

I had to chase to book a slot. Technician was late with no communication.

The whole process to try and get a Podpoint technician out has taken over a month. I had to try charging it on another charger, take photos, call in several times before I was referred on to the technical support team who now just keep sending an automated email with dates I can't be at home rather than picking up the phone and booking a time which would take about 5 minutes. I also can not comprehend why it takes over 24 hours for the next email to come through, by which time the dates I've given are probably no longer convenient. Quite frankly the process is shambolic. I most certainly wouldn't be recommending anyone else to choose Podpoint for their home charger.

Pod point installed where I indicated and very neat, however the engineer didn't check the cable would reach the cars charging point correctly, basics 101. I also requested power surge protection which was missing. Contacted engineer immediately who was more worried about his next appointment than sorting mine out, said he checked it would reach but he went to the wrong side of the car and didn't ask me but instead assumed. Cant get hold of anyone in customer services as constantly on hold which is infuriating, been dropped out once when I got to caller 4 from 13, now trying again so even more angry. Engineer replied via text saying I will be contacted. What has happened to coming back and putting it right like a decent trades person would? Appalling customer service considering the cost of the installation.

Terrible installation experience: impossible to find contact details on the website, emails take an age to receive a response to, fitting v poorly arranged.

The original installation went ahead as planned but you were unable to commission the unit until a bonding certificate had been provided. A certificate was provided (on 3 separate occassions) yet 8 days later I have still not been commissioned - despite over 20 lengthy calls (mostly sitting in automated queues or being bounced around until the call drops), numerous emails and various promises that it was going to be / had been resolved. This has to be one of the worst customer experiences ever and its still not resolved. The post installation service is a shambles. I am not sure this company actually knows what it is doing. Are they just pushing out units, taking public funding and then leaving users high and dry?

This is a post sales, pre installation review. Communication is very poor. Despite having been paid £1200 it took a couple of days for any communication. I replied twice via return email, can't get through by phone and sent a message via the website to which I was promised communication within 2 days. They failed. Soon I will have no option bit to request my bank process a charge back and find another company. If anything changes I'll update this review.

Very poor responses to emails, and once arranged installation needed 2 visits. Charger ordered at same time as car, car was delivered before charger and I could charge car. Overall not a great experience

The whole process from ordering took far too long. Communications from the Pod Point team was / is exceptionally poor. I had 2 cancelled installations. Finally installed yesterday by a very nice installer. First charge last night but charger failed to fully charge my car

Has caused a huge inconvenience as the installation has caused my alarm to disconnect from the mains. Leaving me with no alarm until an engineer can rectify at a cost to myself. The cable is quite high and unsightly on the front of my house so I would have considered the position more carefully if this was shown before the installation.

Installation went well, installer was great- however, the podpoint won’t charge at 7kw on a schedule charge on my Q4 E-tron. Been on some forums and apparently this is a well known issue to podpoint- and should possibly solved with a firmware update and upgraded printed circuit board, but clearly even though podpoint know the make and model of my vehicle they decided to just install it as is without letting me know that there might be problems. Now I either have to spend ages charging slow, let them try to sort the problem (who knows how long that will take) or exercise my right to cancel in the 30 day cooling off period and get a charger that will work!! Likely going for the latter. Morale of the story- don’t get a podpoint if you’ve got/are getting a Q4 E-tron

I received a carpark ticket while parking in the Tesco in Eastbourne charging my car. I was in the Pod Point area and charge my car for four hours but was monitored entering and leaving the car park and received £100 fine.

Engineer arrived, rang doorbell then left extremely hastily! I phoned him a few minutes later… no answer. He went to his next job but refused to return to me after despite obviously now having a free space! Over an hour spent on the phone to pod point, on hold for most of it! Finally got a rebooking a week later and on the day we collected our EV car. This engineer was really good. However, 3 hours into the installation he said that we can’t use it due to our tails being too small! An upgrade is required, basically a smart metre will cure but he can not do that, our energy supplier must. Over a week on and we still can not use the charger as there are no free appointments in the near future to get this completed. So we have an EV that we can’t charge at home! All pictures etc were sent to pod point so they should have advised us of this issue before the installation… they did not! We have the charger installed that can not be used! I might contact pod point, spend another 45mins on hold and tell them to come and take the thing back and give me a refund. Terrible customer service on this and other issues that i can’t be bothered to explain. I would suggest avoiding.

Terrible service. Having waited three weeks to have home charger installed all pod point can do is give delays to installing or giving a date. We are still waiting. One thing after another. We have a new electric car and can’t charge!!! They make moving to an electric car a complete night mare. Customer service terrible. You can’t get through on the phone without waiting at least 30 minutes. Do not use them. We wish we did not have to deal with them but charger was arranged when we brought new BMW. We have no idea after 3 weeks how this is going to get resolved or when if we will get a charger.

The worst experience, paid for charger at the end of September, had to chase with no response to emails, delays in the site survey being completed despite completing the pre fitting questionnaire, again had to chase for fitting day, offered a cancellation slot and the engineer didn't turn up, waited 30 minutes on the phone to speak to someone to be told the engineer wouldn't be arriving that day. Asked to speak to a manager and still waiting for that phone call Engineer turned up on original date booked and the first thing he said was that he couldn't fit the charger where the plan had said and couldn't believe that the plan was approved Result order cancelled- 2 months waiting, no charger fitted worst company ever

Pod point doesn’t work - as soon as it starts charging it stops again. Not a problem with the vehicle. Support takes two weeks an answer an email.

They installed it last Wednesday, 10 minutes later it no longer worked, I called support twice, they said they would send an engineer and nothing. It's already 3 days. Their support doesn't work either and they lie to you! You should be ashamed to continue in the market providing a service of this level.

customer service is bad . In the past year I have had to contact them about various things. they nearly always dont know what they are talking about, firstly they remotely altered my charger from 7kw to 3 kw for no reason. then when I asked them to set it back to 7. they told me they would have to come out to commission it to get it back to 7kw and quoted me £250 for doing this. when the engineer arrived he said nothing wrong with it . they just need to remotely set it back to 7kw so he just phoned them and asked to set it back to 7. he was here less than 5mins. but they still charged me £250 to commission it which they did not do. Also I have recently had them fit some chargers at the back of some flats. before I purchased these, I asked several question about how it works for the tenants paying for the elec. It now turns out all the information they gave me wrong. I would never use them again
