Very slow to respond to a request to look at two faulty burners on our gas hob The repair was requested 21 November, they said that they cannot get an engineer until the new year, then said it might be sooner but the engineer might need to order parts so it could still be weeks Wasted our money on this insurance, have ordered a new hob from AO.

This company is very clever at avoiding the problem you are trying to deal with. Once they have your card details they take money when they want. It is blatant fraud. When you finally get to speak to them, it was all a mistake of course. Go assist and big warranties are one and the same working together to make it hard work for you to sort out, hoping you get fed up and go away.

The biggest mistake was that I called them. I paid £89 for a few minutes of diagnostic work. The engineer guessed that is Pcb block and control panel is broken. I didn't agree with the control panel, because I knew it was working. His wrong guess would have cost me extra. A few days later they sent me an estimate of how much it would cost me. The price was 80% of the original price. I cancelled everything and bought a new appliance .For cancellation they charged me additional 50£. Better buy new appliance than repair it.

I have been waiting for a time and date for a repair for 9 days now. Getting through to Customer Services is an utter joke. I only gave 1 star as I can't give a ZERO - DO NOT CHOOSE THIS COMPANY!!!!!

Terrible customer service tried to book on line and then called, only to be put on hold, so give up and then got a silly text. An hour half later someone calls back, by which time I sorted an appointment to fix my dishwasher.

Avoid - absolutely dreadful waste of time and money Seems as though writing a bad review might be the only way to get a reply from this company. Have been waiting for a part for a freezer for over 10 weeks which it transpires could have been bought from Samsung directly that would have taken ten days. Now being told that even if I cancel the order of the part I won't get a refund - totally against consumer rights. Has caused a massive headache in our house for over ten weeks with no freezer. Waiting on hold for forty minutes at a time and weeks go by with no communication. Dreadful. Avoid.

I paid £89 for someone to come out. When he came out wasn't sure what it was said he had to order 2 parts but then the front panel might need replacing. Had a quote today 3 parts that will cost me £350. Then still might need front panel. RIP off .Told them to cancel.

Absolute disgrace. Thought I was paying a one off fee of £89, but they then wanted £7.99 every month, I did finally manage to cancel that but had to pay an extra £40 for an engineer to come out or lose my £89, so I had no choice but to pay the extra. He came out the same day to look at my oven, not fix it, for a while 2 minutes, to tell me I need a motor and fan element. I then got a bill for £107 for parts, that I could decline or accept. If I decline I lose my £140, do I stupidly accepted. 3 weeks later I am still waiting for one part to be delivered, no one can tell me when it might arrive. So I ask to cancel so I can get someone else to fix it. And have refund, he agreed to refund for parts. Then I notice I’ve been refunded £54, not £107.I’m told eventually that I can have £54 back for part that hasn’t arrived but can’t have refund of £53 for part that has arrived and they can’t send it to me either. I complain again and ask to speak to the manager who says I might be able to get half the price back for the part. I can’t put into words what I think of this company, avoid at all costs.

They arranged an appointment for an engineer to come to fix my washer dryer today, 27 June, but when I contacted them to see what time the engineer was coming informed me that it would not be until tomorrow. I paid in advance for the visit and an insurance policy with them, total £113.43. I therefore asked them to cancel the repair and the insurance policy. They refused to do so. I am left with no choice but to go through the small claims court to get my money back.

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. I contacted them for a broken fridge and they arranged an appointment after 5 days! The technician that came was very good and the fridge needed a part that was out of stock. And it was when the problems started. They supposed to call me and email me about the part needed but they never did. I had to call them to tell me that they had to do a special order that can take up to 8 weeks!!! when I ask them to get a quote from the seller how long exactly can it take, I had to call them multiple times and to connect me to different people just to tell me that they don't have any more information. They never send me an email with the official quote and only send an email with the part number after I asked it multiple times. At the end they charged me £50 more because I canceled the insurance that they lured me to take with the excuse that they could fix it but I declined! When I complained and asked them if it's reasonable time 8 WEEKS to live with a broken fridge their answer was that that's their policy!

DO NOT DO NOT use this company, it is a rip-off. I was charged £159 for an engineer to come out to check on my leaking water heater underneath the sink, stayed for ten minutes only. The next day he came back with a new heater (£109 on the market), and some other material, and charged me £568. As he didn't stop the heavy water leaking from the heater the first time when he came for 10 minutes, I got no choice but to use them without checking some other places. The total is £727 for a water heater underneath the sink, is it logical? Ridiculous.

I have had a really horrible experience - so disappointing as it started well. The engineer was great - then it turned very sour. My oven repair has been a very expensive mistake. My take away from this - always read reviews before getting involved and please AVOID Go Assist / Big Warranties. One star is too generous.

I bought a repair service for my washing machine, noisy drum issue. The engineer visited for 5 min. For 2 days there was no news, so I called them. I was told they can't fix my appliance but there will be no refund. Absolutely unacceptable! no where on the site, FAQs or T&Cs mentions that there is no refund. It is implied no fix, no cost, and no call-out charges.

Don't touch them with someone else's bargepole. I stupidly paid out for an emergency plumbing repair without checking reviews. The engineer came, sat outside my house for 10 minutes, may or may not have rung the bell once, but certainly didn't in the five minutes I was waiting by the front door wondering if the completely unmarked van outside was the plumber. Left no voicemail, never returned to the door, had no further contact from anyone. I'm now left with a hole in my bank account & i've still got a leak in the pipe. Luckily we haven't had to turn the water off, but they didn't know that on friday. Care not that we may have had no water for 72 hours. Apparently the plumber did all he should have & I'm not entitled to a refund. Good way to earn a living, sitting in a van for 10 minutes. The review link I was sent when I booked doesn't actually lead to a valid web address, which tells you a lot about them as a company. I'll be launching a claim through my bank in a bid to get my money back.

I first contacted Go Assist on Wednesday 6 April regarding my oven extractor fan which was not functioning. I had discussed the options of the services offered by Go Assist with Catherine. As I selected the package which included Insurance cover, Catherine advised me that my payment would include all aspects of the service: including labour, the repair, and replacement of any parts for the extractor fan. I was also advised that there would be no further payment to be made by myself. I was also informed by Catherine that, based on my coverage option, if required, I would be offered a replacement of a 'like for like' equipment where required. I was offered further discounts and a subscription to their Home Cover. On this basis, after comparing service offered by other companies, I proceeded with procuring the service of Go-Assist as it all seemed a good offer. The technician visited on 8 April (for 5 minutes of diagnostics) and advised that he could not complete the repair as he did not have the required parts. He advised he will need to submit a report to his office for the parts to be ordered. I was, however, very confused GoAssist informed me that I was required to make further payments for replacement parts for the repair. My understanding was that I had no further payments, based on my initial conversation and agreement with Catherine. Subsequently, after speaking to another advisor at Go Assist, and reviewing the information I received in an email regarding costs and payments required, I have now come to understand that I was misled, and the information provided to me by Catherine at the point of purchase on 6 April was very inaccurate. In addition reviewing the Big Warranties’ (the part of the business that handles the Warranties and Insurance) terms and conditions, clause 13 under Section 6 'What is not Insured' states that the policy does not cover 'Any pre-existing fault prior to You taking out this insurance.' My call to GoAssist/Big Warranties on 6 April clearly stated that the extractor fan required a repair as it was not working so clearly had a fault. My purchase (and full upfront payment) of the service and insurance warranty was on the advice of the sales representative that the policy would cover the labour, repair, and replacement parts of my extractor fan. Why was I then sold insurance for an appliance that I reported as needing repair, especially if it does not align with the policy's conditions? Based on the details outlined above, I believe I was mis-sold a repair service and insurance policy from Go Assist/Big Warranties and consider this to be a concerning breach of regulations and consumer trust. I have made a request for the recording of the several conversations I had with Catherine on 6 April to be reviewed in line with the escalation route. I have also requested a copy of the recording and transcript to be provided to me. I would recommend that others request this if in doubt. As one reviewer on another review site has rightfully mentioned in relation to GoAssist: 'The Misrepresentation Act 1967 is an Act which governs English contract law in the United Kingdom in situations where misrepresentation is involved, prior to parties entering into a contractual agreement. A misrepresentation can be considered to be a false statement of fact which prompts an individual to enter into a contract on the basis of that false statement. Misrepresentation can be established with three different types of statement. These are fraudulent, negligent and innocent misrepresentations and are often considered tiered in terms of severity by the courts.' This still has not been resolved. I have also been informed by GoAssist that I am not eligible for a refund, but have made a request for the call logs to be reviewed in their entirety (as the response initially received reflected only a partial review of the conversation).

A very shifty company that charged me to "repair" my cooker extractor a year ago. An untrained individual attended to tick the attendance box and then left stating he couldn't fix it, over £100 later I thought that would be the end of it. A year later I have been charged a fee from this company, investigations still pending. AVOID at all costs!

I had a terrible experience with this company. They sent an engineer but they did not send any paperwork. When the engineer came, he told me I would need a new part and that they would contact me. They did after 3 weeks and asked for a further £100. Again no receipt. After week 7 I checked with the company they said they had no record of my name or the order. AVOID THIS COMPANY - not to be trusted.
