Booking was ok, price seemed competitive. However: 1. I tried to reschedule and immediately price went up by 15% 2. On the day of move the tracker told me driver was on time but comment below indicted 3 hours delay from the start time 3. Tried to call driver via the trucker phone button but it was not even ringing once before the call was disconnected 4. Cakes customer, they were polite but could not contcst driver and there were no other drivers available. I had a hard deadline to return the keys to agent 5. Tried to explain this and aside from 'I'm soryy to hear that' nothing was done but was told the driver was doing his best. There was a delay in previous job 6. Tracker time was update to earlier time but still no show 2.5 hours after the start time 7. Used chat to get a status update but same 'driver is sound his best to arrive' was given. But now it was 3 hours late 7. Called c.s. Agsin and was told driver was updating job statuses but was not picking up phone but he was doing the best to be at my place. I was pretty firm at this point I wanted a refund and compensation. Due to late pick up I was now having to pay 1 extra day in rent and I also needed another mover 8. This is a badly managed company. Fake reviews on my view as they were all 5 stars. Impossible. I had to find a more expensive mover and due to my tight deadline I have not been able to be choosy. Every day I don't complete my move out I pay rent. If i could give negative stars I would. Don't believe the reviews they just have a polite-Ish customer service but the actual service you pay for is awful

Booked a house move for 2nd June, we are both elderly disabled couple, suffering from diabetes, severe arthritis and other medical conditions, hence we booked their premier service package, including packing and unpacking, dismantling of big items and rebuilding, especially my medical bed, operated electrically, so had pre-booked and agreed at the time of booking and listed on work schedule as special. On the day of the move, first of all the van that was sent was too small, 2 people instead of a team. Arrived and started at 8.30am on the 2nd of June, The first couple of hours all was going well, half way through packing, we were told, we can't take this, take that and so forth, I asked what was wrong, they started asking for more money. I had just sold the property and needed to hand over the keys to new owners at 2pm that day. I had already talked into paying £1,355 for the move in advance, and they wanted a further £347.58, it seemed like we had a gun held to our heads to Pay otherwise they leave. As soon as the £347.58 was paid, they asked for more! Another £125, I asked why? They said it's for the second run they will do. I was only moving 3.5 miles away. If they had brought an adequate transport in the first place they wouldn't have had to do a second run. They couldn't even get a 3, 2 and single sofa set, in the van, with the other things that were booked. Needed adequate size of the transport for the move. In the end I paid £1,827.58 for the move. Even after paying what they asked for, they left some things behind but the new owners felt for us, due to our age and medical conditions and gave us the next few days to pick them up. It was 12.30am the next day, 3rd June when the movers left our new residence. There was no time to unpack anything, even though we had paid for it. My wife went to see everything was inplace for me to go sleep and noticed they hadn't hooked up my medical bed, the dryer and the washing machine was just left unconnected. I couldn't sleep in my bed due to my medical condition, Hence spent the night sitting in my armchair. Next morning my daughter came to help and started opening packed boxes, to get the kitchen started. She found one box with shoes at the bottom and a loaf of bread and some tea cakes on top! I think that was the bottom line for me. I would like the founding owner, Angus Elphinstone and the senior customer care executive named Stacey, to position their elderly parents or grandparents in our situation, then put their hand on their heart and tell us that we were justly treated?? That's hoping they have a heart! I hope this opens some eyes within the Anyvan organisation, not to promise anything, knowing it's not going to be fulfilled, avoiding the stress and suffering of elderly people. SORRY A BIG AVOID from me....!!

I had the most horrendous experience with this company. I was made aware that I would be contacted by the driver 30 minutes before his arrival at my house. It got to 15 minutes before the end of the time slot and no one had contacted me. I then went online to used the chat box feature to ask what was going on and a few minutes before the end of my time slot I was told my driver had cancelled and I may not get a new time slot until the following day. I was moving house and I could not just change my time slot to the following day as I was then out of my housing contract!

I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration with the recent service I received from AnyVan on May 29th. I hired your company to assist me with moving a double bed and mattress from my friend’s apartment to my house, with your confirmation that I would receive the help of a staff. However, the person assigned to assist me displayed an extremely hostile attitude towards my friend and me throughout the entire process, which has compelled me to bring this matter to your attention. To begin with, at the pick-up location which is my friend’s apartment, your staff was noticeably impatient and hostile and showed no regard for customer service. As my friend was kindly helping with the moving process, the person responded with an apparent expression of disdain and dissatisfaction with no appreciation of my friend’s assistance at all. Upon reaching the destination, he, again, behaved and talked in an extremely hostile and rude way. And showed no intention to protect our mattress or to finish his job. I was astonished when I saw him dragged my mattress around on the ground all the way from his vehicle to my house without a single lift-up. I was extremely sad to see my clean white mattress became a dirty mess covered in un-cleanable dust and dirt. The most disgusting thing was that, right from the start of this job, he has been bluntly demanding multiple people to pay him extra money personally. My friend at the pick-up location was confused and scared when this man started to require money from him the moment they met. When he arrived at the destination, he continuously badgered us for additional payment as well. As a female customer, I felt threatened by his aggressiveness, as he blocked my doorway and showed a complete lack of respect towards me. It was only when my husband intervened to inquire about the situation that he reluctantly left while uttering offensive language. I am regret to tell you that he even used the F-word in front of us when he left. He threatened that he wanted more money because he did extra work, but that was just a lie - my friend kindly helped him on the pick-up location and my husband did all the moving with him at the destination. And when I was making this order, I made it very clear that the item was in a 3rd floor flat and was to be moved to a ground floor house - this has already been reflected in the price we paid. I also noticed that the brand name on the vehicle he was driving clearly did not match the AnyVan branding, raising doubts about whether AnyVan sent the right professional to finish this job. His unprofessional behaviour and lack of responsibility/respect were filled with resentment and discontent, leaving me puzzled as to why such a poor level of service was provided. It is disheartening to pay for a high-quality service and receive such abysmal treatment in return. I made the complaint online! but nothing investgated except asking me to fill the product form. It came the result that because my friend helped move the mattress, it cannot decided who damaged the mattress?? The templated answer gave blame on customers, and they did not care about any other! The worst service experience and worst attitude I have ever met! Avoid using it! I will come everyday hhh!

Horrible communications .. the entire experience has been stressful. But to cut to the chase, my items delivered to a derelict building half a mile away on the wrong day. Left in the rain with a bit of cardboard to cover it up. Customer services not really interested - but as Matthew pointed out .. "they have at least delivered it somewhere". Well done Matthew. I now have to go through an insurance claim as the sauna is soaked and the wood swelling.

I’m actually waiting for a reply back from your customer service team with regards to logging a complaint after paying 200 for a van that was due for 7am arriving at 10am which put us in such a bad situation. I’m actually wanting a full refund for your falsely put out services, and on top of that for the lack of service when contacting your customer service team. If you are able to buy your service online I expect it to arrive at the times listed and ensured to me online. You did not fulfill this and I’d like a full refund for this. It’s really appaling, we ordered 3vans with yourselves and I’d like compensation. I cannot pay full price for a service I did not get - that’s mis selling.

I booked with AnyVan and the driver turned up to my house with a FULL van of someone else's goods. There wasn't any room left for my goods. The driver claimed that I refused delivery. AnyVan will not take responsibility for it. They gain business based on the false promise that their drivers are trusted, but when the drivers make untrustworthy actions they tell you that they don't have any control over the driver. Beware - do not trust the drivers from this company with your precious belongings.

Awful experience overall. Their website for adding extra items for a house removal didn't work. BUT it wasn't clear it wasn't working. The charged me an extortionate extra amount on the day with zero interest that I had already made the changes online. No replies to emails and lots of chasing up on customer services with no offer of any kind of refund or acknowledgment for their website fault.

Arranged a pickup of in laws car which had to be left at a service station after he suffered a heart attack. Booked two days in advance, but due to the keys been taken home with him had to cancel a day later. Was denied a refund of £300 pounds because I wasn't over the 24hrs period, I gave them 20 hours notice!!!!. They've taken my money and not provided anything. DO NOT USE. Just an aggregation site, talked to customer services for an hour, and just kept on listing their terms and conditions. They will not help you if something goes wrong BEWARE. Arrange with a local company yourself. Didn't need the extra stress when dealing with a sick relative.

Appalling. Do not use this service. Driver arrived 2 hours later than the estimated eta with a full van and no room to load the pick-up. My move was cancelled. I waited all day in the delivery location for a no-show. My neighbour took the day off work to receive the driver at the pick-up location and when he finally arrived he was hostile and uncommunicative and stayed outside the house in his van for an hour before leaving without doing the pick up. The Anyvan customer service team were IMPOSSIBLE to get hold of (except the sales team) and when I did they were patronizing, passive aggressive, and deflected all blame onto me; stressing their zero refund policy. The person I spoke to was robotic, repetitive, and devoid of any humanity. To add insult to injury, this evening the driver called me privately to offer an 'under the table' out of hours deal. I now have to store all my belongings elsewhere and find an alternative. I've spent £££££s on train fares today plus £106 on AV and have now lost 6 days of my new tenancy agreement as I failed to move in. Untold stress. The worst part of it all was the expert gas- lighting from AV staff members who commanded me to back up my 'allegations' and quoted their twisted rule book at me. I honestly don't know how they can treat people like this, especially given moving is so challenging. The favourable reviews are utterly baffling and the insipid response to poor reviews are just pointless. Please don't use them.

I’ve requested transfer big refrigerator, corner sofa, four chair dining table, microwave and washing machine from a ground floor 15 Llys Ardwyn to third floor 38 Llys Ardwyn, Aberystwyth on 10 May 8-10 am for a price of £195 including £12 for non flexible time. The company called me on 10 May 8 am asking to change the time!!! Claiming it was far for them!! And come 4-6 pm or 10 pm! As I had tight schedule and paid for fixed time I asked them to refund the extra charges and reschedule for next day. On 11 May the labors came angry as they travel from Manchester to Aberystwyth and started to fish… “that’s a corner sofa! It’s a big refrigerator! We were supposed to use the van, your appointment is far from the street! We need extra £195 to carry out the deal” My wife asked them to cancel but they squeezed her that the initial payment would not be refunded. Under pressure and tension, she paid them though I was insisting not to but as I was abroad and have no coverage to talk to them. And they transferred the items. This is the worst service ever I dealt with looked like gangsters or thieves, sorry to use such words but that’s what I felt especially while I was away and couldn’t chat directly. I’ll find out a legal way to sue your company for unprofessional behavior and non transparency

I booked a collection and delivery through the chat. I asked for two people and the person gave me a quote through a direct link. “This includes The two people right?” I asked and they double confirmed. Only to find out on the delivery day that “I” booked for only one person and my delivery was not happening. They said the will not give me a refund but I could get an extra person booked for 50£ (more than the delivery price). This is a scam. I was told the link with the quote had two people and now they’re putting the blame on me and I will not see any of the money back. Absolutely awful. Please be aware!!

AWFUL SERVICE. please do not use. Tkmaxx advises to use them when buying large furniture. On day of delivery, the driver "broke down" on the way. Had to rearrange delivery, which they made me pay an extra fee for. will never use anyvan again, and will tell everyone I can about how awful of an experience I had.

So many to list Avoid this removal company - it is not a removal service in any professional sense. It is an itemised service not suitable for a home removal - all done remotely, the van sent to small for the job , I had requested some packing this did not happen. At least 1/3 of items not taken and had to arrange alternatives arrangement at further costs. Drivers I understand not get recompensed fairly for their work so the company keeps most of the fees. It is a total scam. Customer service says they will ring back they don’t - all based in South Africa despite London numbers. If you are in the process of a complicated move there is no accountability on their part. Biggest expensive mistake I made in choosing them Refund seems highly unlikely- they say they investigate but it is certainly not a two way process.

The driver turns up. He's grumpy and rude. He barely speaks English. He only wants to take the exact things I entered into the online system. I thought you just needed to enter a rough estimate to get the right size van and time slot. This is exactly how the removals service I used last year worked - god knows why I didn't just use them again... The additional stuff cost another £290. So I ended up spending the princely sum of £427 in total to hire a man with a van for 2 hours and 15 minutes - and half an hour of that time was spent by the driver faffing about on the app on his phone! For that price, I'd expect to have a massage and a cocktail whilst people did all the moving for me but sadly no! I was a sweating mess as I did as much work loading/unloading as he did (to be clear, I didn't mind getting stuck in but just not when I've paid that much money...) But it's okay, the driver offered to just take the stuff without entering it into Anyvan's system for £150 cash-in-hand - what a bargain! And he also offered to take me to the new place for the same price as the Uber I ordered. Yeah, no thanks. I'll take a taxi where it's safe and where I won't be charged an extra £779946 to take the two rucksacks and coat I had with me. This company is a total scam. The driver was sketchy as hell and I genuinely didn't feel safe around him. Moving house is a really stressful process at the best of times and this was the absolute last thing I needed. Avoid at all costs.
