“The actual moving experience was great. Friendly and efficient drivers. I would have preferred to arrange and pay for the entire moving-out and moving-in project at the initial quote stage, in one transaction. Instead I had to go through a sequence of different quotes and bookings which became tiresome and an which gave me unpleasant surprise at the ultimate cost. The barrage of emails is confusing. And the helpline has long waiting times, and when you get through you cannot be sure if you are talking to a robot or a human (it felt automated but creepily human if it was not!). If I were in the management, I would spend some time trying out experience first hand, to see what it feels like.”

In this case, piano moves do require a specialist team due to the nature of the item, and storage is also managed separately through a dedicated team. Because of this, these services are not always combined into a single booking flow. That said, we understand why this lack of a single streamlined process for customers needing all three services would feel inconvenient, and your feedback on this is really valuable. “The price is good and booking is easy. However, it is very reliant on bots for customer service so, when there was a mistake made (a WhatsApp bot confirmed a change I had made to my booking but then it didn't go through), it can take a while to get through to a real person to sort it out. But the person did sort it out, thank you. The three guys who did the move were great. Very helpful and careful, and took a few extra boxes for me that I had planned to take in my own car. However, I wonder how much communication there really is about time slots. I booked a slot from 10am - 2pm and expected to be told a more specific window the day before. I was then told 12pm - 2pm. I live about 40 minutes drive from the pick-up point and planned to get there for 9.30am to do the final packing. At 8.30, the driver rang to say he would be there at 9. I said I could not be there for then and was told that he couldn't wait for me much after 9.45 because he had to go to London and would only be able to do my move on the way back, about 5pm. Luckily, I could leave my house pretty much straight away but it rather undermined the point of booking a specific time slot and planning for it, if it is just going to be disregarded within 24 hours of the allocated time-slot being confirmed. So, it worked out in the end and my move was done quickly and early but, if I had been on a school run or something like that, it wouldn't have worked out. People book time slots for a reason!”

“Team where punctual and polite. There was an initial issue that was raisd by the removal team that was swiftly addressed by the ANYVAN office and the move went without any further interruption. The use of ANYVAN was considered good value for money. Would highly recommend.”

“I had organised a mattress and bed to be collected. I liked the way you could track when the delivery driver was near. They were professional, and had a friendly manner. The goods were delivered that evening in good condition. Would use again.”

“Good service. I contacted then at short notice and they were very good. It would be better if they could come out assess the content as being under stress to move and having to account for all the content in order to get the right size truck can be challenging. I was not able to itemise everything and the size truck became an issue. The driver and coworker was amazing, professional, courteous and patient. I would use them again. Thank you”

“I really like the concept of ANYVAN - I think the value for money is really good and it beats hiring a van on your own and then trying to find someone to help; However, on two occasions this month, both drivers have been late (not their fault) and I lost valuable time because of that; this is why I give only 4 starts, not five; the drivers were very friendly and helpful on both days, by the way.”

“# Excellent Delivery Service, Marred by an Avoidable Dispute Pros: Drivers were punctual for both collection in Glasgow and delivery in Nottingham. Excellent communication with updates during transit. All items and boxes arrived in great condition. Cons: A significant disagreement arose over the number of extra boxes. The drivers believed I had six more boxes than quoted, whereas my count was only one or two over. This led to a tense standoff, which was frustrating. Given the total cost of the service was £729, I felt that a minor discrepancy should not have become such a significant issue. This created a stressful standoff and required a call to a manager to resolve the situation before the team would proceed. Summary: The fundamental moving service provided by Anyvan was great. However, the experience was let down by a frustrating and, in my view, unnecessary dispute at the point of collection. I would still recommend them, but with the advice to double-check your item count.”
