“I booked this company because they were extremely helpful on the phone, the two guys doing the moving only had to move boxes and furniture. On the day they were due at between 9-10am, they turned up about 8.20 - nice couple of guys said they were polish - wasn’t sure myself but anyway, they worked hard putting stuff into a van - in fact they were almost rushing to get the job done, I gave them water as they were sweating offered food, not accepted but very polite, after about 3-4 hours they were done, they went off we followed about 10 mins behind, when we got to the new property some items already laid out in the garden - offered them tea/coffee they declined just wanted to get on, they were distracted by several phone calls, whom one of them told me was girlfriend problems. Anyway they worked hard putting everything in the house, I noticed some scuffs etc on some of the furniture but let it slide. When they finished my husband gave them a very generous tip each, we asked them if they had phone numbers to contact as we thought we could put some work their way, but they refused and wouldn’t give us any details. After several days of working through all the boxes I came to my ottoman which contained all my personal items, as I was unpacking I came across my small ring box when I opened it there were numerous rings missing including my engagement ring and gold rings and my mothers solitaire diamond engagement ring, I couldn’t compute in my brain what I was looking at - I thought maybe everything had fallen out of the box - so I searched and then also found that my box of watches was also missing - their were 6 watches in their a couple of expensive ones and some not - I now was beginning to think the worst! The next 24 hours was spent hunting through everything and at this point those were the main things missing - I can only assume it was the guys doing the removals, no one else came into contact with that ottoman, plus there were pictures and books on top so they had to have emptied stuff out in their search! I tried to phone AnyVan - that’s a saga on its own, managed to get a message through but all I got back was they knew nothing about that, I said I would be contacting the police and they said they would assist in anyway possible. It’s now in the hands of the police. I told AnyVan - I actually managed to speak to someone- and gave them the name of the driver and all the details - she said she would call them, they did and she came back and said he denied it - end of! Well not for me - I know this stuff was stolen and I want AnyVan to show some interest in my loss and also take accountability for the people they are letting drive their vans. I am totally gutted about my rings more than anything, the sentimental value cannot be replaced. I shall take this as far as I can, if not then I want reparations from AnyVan.”

“The actual moving experience was great. Friendly and efficient drivers. I would have preferred to arrange and pay for the entire moving-out and moving-in project at the initial quote stage, in one transaction. Instead I had to go through a sequence of different quotes and bookings which became tiresome and an which gave me unpleasant surprise at the ultimate cost. The barrage of emails is confusing. And the helpline has long waiting times, and when you get through you cannot be sure if you are talking to a robot or a human (it felt automated but creepily human if it was not!). If I were in the management, I would spend some time trying out experience first hand, to see what it feels like.”

“Good service. Driver and co worker were friendly and helpful. The price was very reasonable. Only problem was the tracking wasn't working for me but contacted customer services who kindly gave me an update. I would use anyvan again.”

“The price is good and booking is easy. However, it is very reliant on bots for customer service so, when there was a mistake made (a WhatsApp bot confirmed a change I had made to my booking but then it didn't go through), it can take a while to get through to a real person to sort it out. But the person did sort it out, thank you. The three guys who did the move were great. Very helpful and careful, and took a few extra boxes for me that I had planned to take in my own car. However, I wonder how much communication there really is about time slots. I booked a slot from 10am - 2pm and expected to be told a more specific window the day before. I was then told 12pm - 2pm. I live about 40 minutes drive from the pick-up point and planned to get there for 9.30am to do the final packing. At 8.30, the driver rang to say he would be there at 9. I said I could not be there for then and was told that he couldn't wait for me much after 9.45 because he had to go to London and would only be able to do my move on the way back, about 5pm. Luckily, I could leave my house pretty much straight away but it rather undermined the point of booking a specific time slot and planning for it, if it is just going to be disregarded within 24 hours of the allocated time-slot being confirmed. So, it worked out in the end and my move was done quickly and early but, if I had been on a school run or something like that, it wouldn't have worked out. People book time slots for a reason!”

“Good service. I contacted then at short notice and they were very good. It would be better if they could come out assess the content as being under stress to move and having to account for all the content in order to get the right size truck can be challenging. I was not able to itemise everything and the size truck became an issue. The driver and coworker was amazing, professional, courteous and patient. I would use them again. Thank you”
