The process was mainly fine. I was not happy with the initial installation visit as the contractor did not appear keen to undertake the work and found fault with the water bonding. Had he taken a few minutes to lift a (loose) floorboard, he would have seen that the supply pipe was plastic and no bonding was needed. We incurred additional costs, calling in an electrician, to demonstrate this. The second installation visit was also unsuccessful as the contractor arrived without the charging unit. However, sensibly, he installed most of the cabling so that the third visit finally installed the charger.

Placed order easily enough although they over-promised speed of delivery a little. They missed a loop supply in the online survey (done twice) which means that the energy supplier must check suitability. This looped supply was obvious in the audit and spotted by the 1st installation engineer immediately. This issue around the survey is quite important as it could have meant that my property was unsuitable for installation. It also wasted 2 weeks. Then organisational problems within POD POINT become apparent. Contacting the energy supplier to organise another survey was only done when seeing nothing happening I pushed PP (again lost weeks). Responding to the ok to proceed from the power supplier again did not happen until I chased. When I was told they had been told there was a problem and then that they had not received any info. Both were untrue as I had been on the email from the power supplier to PP and followed it up separately myself (again lost weeks all the while I am using local charge points at cost and inconvenience. The complaint procedure is slow and 1st response is, predictably, to reject. Then with some persistence, they offered 50 pounds goodwill (or take us to court) which does not cover me for the extra charge costs let alone the inconvenience. On the plus side, both engineers that visited to install were efficient and the final installation was good. My verdict is that if everything is standard then PP will probably be ok. If any problems you have to manage them.

Very positive experience, the ordering process was very straightforward with the purchase and installation all completed within 2 weeks. Our installer arrived on time, was very courteous and explained it would take about 3 hours to complete. The installation was very professionally completed, neat and tidy. I would strongly recommend Podpoint to others.

Mixed review. Despite the many photos, videos and emails exchanged, Pod Point made a mistake which delayed the installation by around 4 weeks. Still waiting for news regarding the discount I should have got by being a customer of EdF. Once the installer came and had the right equipment, the installation went well and without issue.

Installation and setup were very straightforward and well explained. Trying to contact Podpoint is trying - 30 minute waits on the phone are standard, but once answered staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

After an unexplained delay from payment to installation, the installation itself was carried out by a very pleasant and competent professional, who also made a very good suggestion regarding a better location for the charger. The job was expertly completed to a very high standard.

A really smooth ordering and installation process from start to finish! The Solo 3 installation was clean and done to an excellent standard. The engineer explained everything clearly and provided a tutorial after the installation for how to use the charger. He was also a great guest to have in my home. Happy customer here :)

Has taken from 5/9 to 14/11 for installation. I was told it could not be connected via the fuse board, it had to be the meter which was the other side of my house. The thick unsightly cable would need to be run across the front of the property, the front door or sunk beneath the path to the front door and up the side garage wall (unable to be moulded to the lip on the wall). My own contractors were literally on the drive waiting to dig a trench when my electrician arrived and said NO! After waiting over 30 mins on the phone. Pod point agreed with my electrician that with a couple of minor tweaks to the fuse board it could be connected there. The appointment to install 9 days later was then cancelled on the day. When it was finally installed yesterday the fitter said it was the easiest fit he'd ever had with the fuse board being directly the other side of the garage wall! The whole process has been very stressful and could have unnecessarily cost me £250. Pod point need to consider the wider picture/cost to the customer and aesthetics of a home. Each time I have called there have been lengthy waits.

Pre-installation staff were very thorough, courteous and helpful. They were also accommodating with timing and able to let us know about cancelled slots. The engineer who carried out the survey and installation, Matthew, was excellent throughout, took time to find the most convenient route, explained everything and was quick and efficient in his work. Very happy with the whole process!

The installer was great, arrived on time and tidied up after himself. He was given the wrong information though so was expecting the fuse box to be on an external wall so the job was much more complicated than he expected. It therefore took him longer than he expected but he was very professional.
