For anyone considering PodPoint as an option for a home charger installation, I would strongly advise to look elsewhere. My Solo 3 charger was installed 10 months ago. This went fine, but that unfortunately is the only positive to come from my experience with this company. I reported a fault that occurred a couple of times back in April and May. The odd fault here and there is to be expected, but the more recent unreliability of the charger along with possibly the worst customer service team I have ever come across, is nothing what you should expect from any firm. Having a charger which needed resetting several times after every fault, to find that a lot of the time it still wouldn’t charge, I am left unable to schedule charges because I never know when it’s going to work or not. This fault had become a lot more frequent over the last month or so. I reached out to PodPoint who had the first engineer out to me in December. The socket was changed on my charger wall unit. All seemed fine for a few days and then back to the frequent fault of not being able to charge my car at all. At this point, I was told that it would be arranged that I would get some credit on my account to at least use their public chargers, despite the inconvenience. I followed this up on several occasions, and of course, nothing was done! After contacting PodPoint again, a second engineer visit was arranged. I was told that the motherboard was to be changed. Upon the arrival of the second engineer, and please bare in that they have used contractors on both occasions, I briefed him on the persistent fault and what I had been told was to be carried out, to get the response ‘PodPoint don’t usually do that’ - regarding to the changing of the motherboard. Engineer was here for around 30 minutes, and because the fault wasn’t presenting in that short space of time, he did absolutely nothing and left. There is clearly no communication internally within customer service and seems that they tell you one thing and their engineers and colleagues another. His last job before Christmas - I’m now left with a charger that doesn’t work more often than it does, unable to charge my car how I should be able to over the festive period and a non-existent customer services line apart from emergencies. Followed this up on Tuesday after the new year. Spoke to several customer service advisors, and you get the usual ‘I’ll pass this on to my manager’ but refuse to give you a direct line or transfer you to a manager. Christian finally got in touch with me, a manager, who then advised I needed to be referred to the complaints team. I finally have a complaint ongoing with them, but no update from them as of yet. Spoke to customer services again, get the usual ‘I’ll get a manager to call you by the end of the day’. And again, no call back. Joey has since replied via email, and has offered to arrange a third engineer visit, for this time to be a ‘senior’ engineer, to supposedly carry out the work that the second engineer had refused to do. He has also refused a refund. I am still waiting for the manager to get in touch again. It’ll be the third and last time I will wait around for an engineer for a company that seems to just enjoy wasting your time. This will be taken further if it’s not resolved after this visit. I am currently waiting for the third appointment to be arranged - but again, because of the lack of communication and having to chase everything up, it’s the weekend. And again, non-existent customer service apart from emergencies. I strongly advise looking elsewhere if you need a reliable EV charger. Wish I’d have done more research before going with PodPoint! Will update accordingly if the issue ever gets resolved…

The purchase and selection of equipment process was all online and very good. Issue was when I tried to amend the order, call centre or help centre I couldn’t contact on multiple occasions via phone, never answered, and via form on web site, again no response on several occasions Contacted the design team and they were able to help but help / sales support were non-existent Also comms on run up to install very poor. But install itself was perfect but no confirmation of date and no reminder etc near the date The install itself was great

The initial process was rather hard work for various reasons and I eventually had to involve the dealer who supplied the car, in addition there were long waits to speak with your team to ask for assistance. Unfortunately I then had to go into hospital and consequently rearrange the installation, your staff were very understanding about that. The installation, by Ethan, was very professional and helpful, he assisted me with a number of queries that I had.

Great service, I ordered my new charger on the Tuesday and by late Thursday afternoon it was fitted and all working ! The engineer listened to my requests and did exactly as asked

Once I had completed the form the next morning I had an email suggesting a date and time within the next week. The installer was on time and very friendly and professional. He explained what was going to happen, then got on with the job. Disruption when power was turned off was minimal and only for a very short time (I did not time it but would have been 10min max). Everything looked good and cables fixed properly (unlike the three main streaming providers we have used over the years who barely fixed their cables at all). When he finished he talked me through what he had done, what to check, and went through connecting and using the app. Very pleased.

The gentleman that came to fit it was very professional and polite. He explained everything thoroughly and ensured the pod was fitted where we wanted it.

Very good experience once they arrived, the first callout a couple of weeks back was cancelled (not the fault of the engineers who came today) and today's team were excellent and got what was quite a complicated job done well

James was so meticulous and professional when he installed today . Paid attention to every details and completed fabulous instillation. His after care is also next to none. Critism to booking only. Last minute they cancelled instillation and rebooted for 2 weeks later. Trying to speak to support is a long wait. You need likes of James to work in other areas of the business

I placed my order on 19th December, however didn't hear anything back before Christmas. I chased via email on 27th December and was told my enquiry had been escalated however I didn't hear anything before New Year either. On 2nd January I called the helpdesk and after 25-30 minutes of waiting in the queue, I spoke to Jemma who was able to arrange my installation there and then for the next day. Whilst awaiting email confirmation of my installation (which ultimately never arrived), I received an email from Tom advising that my enquiry had been reviewed and I could "continue with my order". The link provided in this email did not work, so I had to ring the helpdesk again. After a further 25-30 minutes in the queue, I spoke to Bob who advised that the link was probably not working as my order was already complete! Bob generated the installation email to me which confirmed the engineer's arrival time for the next day (11am-4pm). At 12pm the following day, Ashley arrived to carry out the installation. Ash was an absolute star, discussing the potential installation options with me before starting and talking me through the whole process as it was ongoing. Owing to a couple of periods where the work had to stop because of a downpour, and despite being advised by his manager to leave at 4pm and come back the next day, Ash continued through to completion at around 4:45pm. I was so grateful for this as my car was already low on battery and I needed to go out the next day. Ash's dedication to customer satisfaction should be applauded and I trust he will not face any repercussions for staying late to get the job done. Overall, I have rated my experience as "good" because of Ash. Prior to his arrival, my experience was poor. The ordering process was straightforward enough but the lack of communication was frustrating, the time spent waiting to speak to the helpdesk both times was shocking, and the confusing email from Tom meant I spent a lot of time feeling anxious about the whole thing.
