I hate to give a low rating but I’m afraid I was left with no choice. The bike is great....will give you that although it arrived with a big scratch which I reported but as always no response. The helmet ordered didn’t arrive and I then receive an email saying it’s no longer available with an offer of an alternative one. I have requested a refund for the helmet as I have now purchased one elsewhere but no reply. This is the issue with Mango....the customer service let’s you down Massively, the constant chasing for an update and then being told on 3 separate occasions my bike would arrive then being told another unexpected delay. If you were only honest at the beginning and said it could take nearly 3months then at least people know where they stand rather than saying should be next week. Global Pandemic has had an impact im sure but doesn’t mean customer service should slip and there are plenty of other companies affected that manage to provide great service during this tricky time. If I get the refund for the helmet this week then I might be able to improve the review but I have low expectations on getting a response.

How long does it take to send 2 tyres to a customer? We’ll Planet X use Royal Mail 3 day delivery Mango bikes 8 days! I’m guessing 8 days as they haven’t arrived yet to accompany the inner tubes ordered from Planet X that are sat in the garage and have been for the best part of a week. Yesterday Mango bikes customer service had no idea where the parcel was but we’re going to get back to me maybe in 8 days time! Could do a lot better.

Hi Stephen Sorry about the delay. We're at the mercy of the couriers once it leaves Mango Bikes HQ. Not quite fair to say we have no idea where it was though. We replied quickly with tracking and showed it's on the way. Hopefully with you very soon. We'll keep an eye on the tracking.

My helmet didn’t arrive with my order and there weren’t instructions included to put it together which wasn’t very helpful...

Wrong bike brakes, horrendous customer service. When i ordered the website stated early July as the estimated dispatch date. 8 weeks later my bike was received on the 28th July. I had to message on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook in order to get someone to look and confirm an update on my order. It seemed that had i not done this, the order would have taken even longer. I previously said the bike was faultless, but after 2 rides i got a flat tyre after the tyre ripped. The brakes it came with are wrong and too short!! The stems do not extend far enough meaning the pads rubbed on the tyres and caused a puncture. The bike is unrideable. It seems they provided a brake upgrade, without checking if they properly fit on my XL frame beforehand. I have reported this, but yet to hear back. Once i do i will consider revising my review, but for now both product and customer service are non-existent.

First time I've ordered from this company. Prices seemed competitive but customer service needs improving. The tyres I ordered were slightly thinner than I was previously using (my fault for not checking). Asked if it was possible to amend the order to the wider tyre as the price was the same but had no response to my email. Also phoned up and left a message but no response to that either. Original order then turned up a day or so later, so in good time. Then received an email reply a couple of days later just saying that the order had gone out. So first experience....items arrive in good time and pricing is competitive but customer service needs improving. 3 stars.

Love the single speed bikes - bought a second one when my original was pinched. Coloured parts and accessories are great (although fade pretty quickly if stored outside). Recently ordered new 6-spoke back wheel. Delighted with how it looks and runs. However .... No info for about 10 days regarding delivery date. Used online help to ask for delayed delivery, because by then I had gone away on holiday. Reply came 5 days or so later, by which time wheel had been delivered in our absence. Then realised that the gears are 18 rather than 16 teeth. Not a disaster, but not as described on the website, and I’m still waiting for a reply to my request for an explanation. Communication is the key to customer loyalty - more important to me than regular marketing emails.

I had read reviews of people complaining that their bikes had taken months to arrive but thought because I wasn’t buying a bike my order wouldn’t take so long. I ordered a couple of accessories, which you wouldn’t expect to take very long to dispatch, including a helmet and after a week or so and no dispatch email I messaged them on instagram asking when it will be dispatched. They replied saying the helmet was out of stock, which I had paid for and i had not been informed that it wasn’t in stock. Then after another week I was refunded for the helmet. Another week passed and the other items (handlebar tape and bottle cage) had been dispatched and then arrived a week later. So all in all it took around a month for some handlebar tape and a bottle cage which I could have gone to decathlon for. I would have understood under current circumstances surrounding bikes being sold out that it would have taken a while for them to process a bike order, but for things that are presumably on a shelf ready to be packaged and sent out you would expect it to be a simple process. Very disappointing.

5 stars for the Mango Bikes team! Special shout out to Emily who was a real joy to deal with and helped change the order to something beyond what I had first envisaged. Absolutely delighted with my custom single speed :)

At the beginning - The customer service was dreadful. The lack of contact brought on frustration leaving me aggravated and feeling ripped off. In the end - the bike arrived after 9 weeks and I’m super pleased with it. Build quality is good, package was secured really well and it rides great. Be patient when ordering and you’ll get a great quality bike at a good price.

Completely understandable that it took a long time to deliver during lock down. However the communication was really disappointing. I had very little of it and then when I did it was misinformation. I had two different emails saying that my bike would be out for delivery next week the latter of which was a month before i was finally informed it had been shipped. The issue I had was that I was being given information that wasn't true. Really false information is no better than none at all. After speaking to a friend who also had an identical experience we were both dissapointed. The Bike itself I am more than happy with. The gears and brakes work fine but the text on them is backwards which concerns me.

My bike took 2.5 months and the wheel were the wrong colour - shocking customer service. Avoid purchasing from Mango at all costs
