My Mango bike is great but the customer service has been shocking. Still waiting for a reply to my email to sort out an issue with a part after 2 weeks.

I had read reviews of people complaining that their bikes had taken months to arrive but thought because I wasn’t buying a bike my order wouldn’t take so long. I ordered a couple of accessories, which you wouldn’t expect to take very long to dispatch, including a helmet and after a week or so and no dispatch email I messaged them on instagram asking when it will be dispatched. They replied saying the helmet was out of stock, which I had paid for and i had not been informed that it wasn’t in stock. Then after another week I was refunded for the helmet. Another week passed and the other items (handlebar tape and bottle cage) had been dispatched and then arrived a week later. So all in all it took around a month for some handlebar tape and a bottle cage which I could have gone to decathlon for. I would have understood under current circumstances surrounding bikes being sold out that it would have taken a while for them to process a bike order, but for things that are presumably on a shelf ready to be packaged and sent out you would expect it to be a simple process. Very disappointing.

5 stars for the Mango Bikes team! Special shout out to Emily who was a real joy to deal with and helped change the order to something beyond what I had first envisaged. Absolutely delighted with my custom single speed :)

At the beginning - The customer service was dreadful. The lack of contact brought on frustration leaving me aggravated and feeling ripped off. In the end - the bike arrived after 9 weeks and I’m super pleased with it. Build quality is good, package was secured really well and it rides great. Be patient when ordering and you’ll get a great quality bike at a good price.

Completely understandable that it took a long time to deliver during lock down. However the communication was really disappointing. I had very little of it and then when I did it was misinformation. I had two different emails saying that my bike would be out for delivery next week the latter of which was a month before i was finally informed it had been shipped. The issue I had was that I was being given information that wasn't true. Really false information is no better than none at all. After speaking to a friend who also had an identical experience we were both dissapointed. The Bike itself I am more than happy with. The gears and brakes work fine but the text on them is backwards which concerns me.

My bike took 2.5 months and the wheel were the wrong colour - shocking customer service. Avoid purchasing from Mango at all costs

Possibly the worst service I could have imagined. Sadly I wouldnt recommend this company to anyone, not because of the product however. Completely because of the shambles that is their customer service. I understand I ordered a bike during a pandemic where everyone was buying a bike. So I was okay with a delay even though at the time they had on their home page "Delivery within 2 weeks" But I was ignored for 7 weeks, my bike then turned up with no instructions or tools which would have helped. The only time I got a response was once I had gone off in their instagram comments. When I finally got a response Andrew was only interesting in telling me not to talk bad about his team, Didnt offer much in the help or answers to the issues I had. In fact I have since fixed the issues with help from a friend and still waiting for a response from Andrew about the issues I had with my bike. Its a shame because the bike is great, but I have slight resentment with it as it was such a nightmare to get. Hopefully they reinvest in some customer service, because it absolutely isnt working currently. Thanks for the bike, but wouldnt buy anything from here ever again.

20/05 - Purchased bike parts and accessories which included a 6 spoke front wheel (black) + 6 spoke rear wheel (black + flip flop). 03/06 - Received an email telling me that both the wheels were not in stock but provided me options, one of which was to swap for a set of 3 spoke wheels (black) instead. 03/06 - I emailed back accepting the offer of the 3 spoke wheel set. 05/06 - I emailed again since I got no reply. 05/06 - I received an email confirming the swap and will be out for delivery asap. 15/06 - Received delivery but both of the 3 spoke wheels were rear wheels, neither of which had been configurated to flip flop. 1 wheel with nothing and 1 wheel with no fixed cog just freewheel. 15/06 - I emailed about the incorrect wheels. 21/06 - I emailed again since I got no reply. 23/06 - Received email saying they will send out the correct front wheel, and a fixed cog which I can attach to the rear wheel with the missing fixed cog. 26/06 - I received the delivery but the wheel was not a 3 spoke front wheel (black) but instead a 6 spoke front wheel (black). In addition, the fixed cog that came does not correctly screw on to the rear wheel that has the freewheel cog but will correctly screw onto the rear wheel that came with no cogs attached, suggesting that the rear wheel with the freewheel has been put on the wrong side. 26/06 I emailed about the incorrect wheel and issues with the rear cog. 01/07 Emailed again since i got no reply. 06/07 Finally sorted. A terrible experience that all could be avoided if the website prevented orders of items that aren't in stock, which is hardly some revolutionary feature in 2020

Long delay to my order with little to no communication. never answer the phone or reply to emails. finally received my order and contained 3 wrong items (tyres, pedals and lock). Had to go through cycle to work scheme just to get a reply. Apparently the missing items will be in the post in due course. (update November 2020) Finally received items after 6 months+. Then after having little or no communication Mango have contacted me to change this review to something positive. Absolute joke of a company

Hi Jack Our boo-boo with the tyres but got sorted as we sent the correct ones out. Lock - this was an upgraded lock with no extra charge as we were out of stock on the one you ordered. Pedals have been refunded.

Bike is great. Lovely to ride although only had it for a few days. 5 stars for the bike - 1 Star for customer experience Customer service is very lacking. 2 months without any reply to emails/calls/DM’s! Only managed to get a reply/update when I bombarded social media with complaints. Wouldn’t have minded the delay if I was at least getting updates, but being left in the dark after spending a heap of money is just not on.

Can’t fault the bike at all, the colours are amazing and bright, it’s a pleasure to ride! Never had a road bike before but this one is perfect for me! It took a while to turn up, but of course with lockdown and more people wanting bikes that’s hardly surprising. They were good at getting in contact about how the order was coming along and kept me informed about time scale etc. Overall very pleased!!

The bike is a lovely ride and super pretty as you can customise it! Even though COVID spiked the orders it was well worth the wait even though it was a long 8 weeks !

Good bike, good build quality, lovely ride. The standard width handlebars on the XS frame though is wrong geometry but in this price bracket that’s acceptable. However, website should be more transparent (I ordered based on a 3-4 delivery time but ended up waiting almost 7 weeks only to be told my chosen frame size S wasn’t in stock and neither were my choice of wheels?!?!). I then changed my custom moosher entirely and based on information from Emily (that an XS frame was suitable up to 5”3) i basically created a new order. The seat tube height on the XS is perfect, 19” but the reach (and stem) are very short (I am only 5”1). My husband put on a new stem and now the reach is acceptable but not ideal. I wish I had waited even longer and gotten the small frame I originally wanted. Overall I’m disappointed with my experience with Mango. Communication is dire, but then they have been entirely overwhelmed by demand.

Ordered some camo grips and a pair of bullhorn handlebars on the 1st of July (both showing as in stock and would be dispatched same or next day). Received a package on the 8th of July containing only the grips and no handlebars. I have since emailed, rang, instant messaged their website and contacted them via Facebook. I have received no reply as to where my handlebars are from any of the above. I understand that this is a very busy time for them but the lack of communication is ridiculous. I have no idea where to contact now as they are clearly not replying via any form of communication. I will not be buying anything from Mango bikes again

The bike I ordered is great quality! The customer service wasn’t great but it is understandably a busy time for Mango bikes. Better correspondence would improve the service tenfold. However, the bike arrived as ordered and is a great bike.

The Good: Decent bike for the money. Beautiful Shimano crankset and brakes. The Not so Good: Disappointed with cassette. I bought the bike mainly due to it being advertised as having a 34 cassette on it, but was only a 28. So having just bought a bike, I'm immediately buying new parts to compensate. Few chips on paintwork and looks like it's been done with a spraycan. Arrived with no allen key / building tool. Customer service was obsolete for best part of my 8+ week wait.
