“Good price for the item, however I was told as my item would be three weeks for delivery it took quite a bit longer, I queried this & was told it was coming from the supplier directly & they would contact me when it was available, should have been told this when ordering, it seemed to be me doing the contacting all the time !, eventually got the item which I am very pleased with, just not the problems I had getting it.”

“The water butt and joining kit are of good quality. However the instructions were very poor. There were no instructions on how to remove the stopper where the tap fits. I tried a large screwdriver,a coin and eventually an adjustable spanner. Also no instructions on how to cut the tubing.Having asked someone I used a kitchen knife and scissors,which was actually quite simple but instructions would have been appreciated!”

“I bought a 2m tall, 165 litre Graff water butt. The product is ideal; but massively let down by poor delivery. I received an email advising next day delivery; yet had to wait indoors for 2 long days. Having made a dozen phone calls I received 5 contradictory excuses for the delay! It was exhausting. My huge water butt was finally delivered at 7pm on Friday; in an ancient, tatty, van. Despite the fact that I'm a tiny old lady, the driver simply dumped it on the pavement and drove away.”

“Speedy delivery but mediocre quality. Three piece stand is difficult to get level if it’s on gravel. Hole for the tap had not been drilled straight which meant that the tap wouldn’t screw in tightly without cross threading. When it’s tight it’s upside down! Next time I will go to a retailer and inspect what I’m buying! Disappointed.”

“Why so many emails? My order was dispatched quickly and I've installed it fine. However, in 13 days since placing the order, I have received NINE separate marketing emails about water butts. This is not including the emails about my order and the email asking me to fill in this review. Maybe once or twice per year would be about right but not EVERY OTHER DAY! Whoever sends out emails (if it is a person) seriously needs to drink less caffeine. I'm now unsubscribing.”

“i have purchased water butts from WBD before and always been completely satisfied. This time unfortunately the water butt wasnt in the best condition, it was sound and usable but very scratched up, i would have complained but my wife said "its only a water butt" so..........”

“Wide choice of water butts. We purchased the Cascata with planter which looks beautiful and stylish. However, no matter how hard I tried, I was unable to insert the two plastic outlet fittings. My impression is that the thread in the butt has not been done properly. This is not essential and it will collect water without these fittings but why was this not checked before dispatch?”

“Pleased with service provided, and quality of water butt. Second one we've ordered. However, disappointed with tap - same issue as one supplied with last year's. Water gushes out too fast. Was advised to buy a separate tap at time of order. Will now source one more cheaply elsewhere. Please can you let your supplier know that the aqua-quick tap is too quick!”

“How do I know whether the water butt is going to be value for money or even do the job that it was designed to do over a period of time? All that I can say was that it arrived promptly, was well wrapped but there was a dent, but no puncture, in it. Will it be frost hardy enough? Is it pleasing to the eye - well it is a plastic water butt and so has no real intrinsic beauty. Who knows after a few days! I am not sure that I can give you a review that is worth its name or in any way meaningful.”

“The filtered water diverter was very expensive for what it is. Instructions need a serious revision. No significant rain since installation so can't comment on it's performance.”

“The water butt with planter is very nice and I have now 2 of them in my garden. Unfortunately the communication with the company was not as straightforward as I’d expect. The order was delayed for over 6 weeks and although they were very nice and helpful over the phone, no emails with confirmation about changes or indeed time of despatch were sent. Both times the item were delivered without any warning and left in front of the house. We leave on a busy road and it could’ve easily been taken.”

“I initially ordered the 350L water butt. Delivery kept getting delayed because of problems with the supplier. While I can see that the suppliers let WBD down, I feel they could have done something to compensate customers who waited 6 months longer than they should have. (And maybe find another supplier? How hard is it, exactly, to make a big plastic bucket once you have the moulds set up?). I reordered the 250L water butt, which came quite quickly, although it was severely dented in transit. The dent popped out and all seems to be well, but this was careless.”

We did offer a discount to our customers which was explained in the emails that were sent out. Unfortunately, the situation was out of our hands and I'm afraid it is not as simple to just find another supplier when it is from the manufacturers themselves. This was explained in our emails that were sent out regarding issues with the molding and machines. Sincerest apologies that the 250L Water Butt arrived dented, however, we would have happily resolved this issue for you, but we received no communication regarding this. “Delivery took longer than stated on the website. There were valid reasons for this; the sourcing company being on holiday when the order was made and a post office strike. However, communication for the reason for the delay could have been better; two calls were needed to get the pertinent information. The water butt itself is lovely; a good shape, fitting colour, suits the location for which it was targetted. I like the fact that it is made of recycled plastic and that it is British made. Most of the fittings are of good quality. However, there is one error where a significant improvement could be made. The connections to a downpipe diverter do not fit the screw thread and are of a pale cream colour which is so not in keeping with the overall product. We ended up drilling a separate hole for the diverter equipment we had (see attached photo). I am genuinely pleased with the rest of the product. It appears a glaring area of neglect in design.”

“my water butt when delivered had a big dent in it. I was out at the time. The only way I could get help was to send a photo of the damage. Being in my seventies, I found this difficult to do. Even then acceptence of the damage was not fully accepted, and I had to see if there was a crack that went from back to front. I have been told that a replacement will be sent?”
