“I have previoulsy used Water Butts Direct with great service. Howver this particular order was a bit more tortuous in that the order was placed some months ago and then no updates either from the actual supplier or Water Butts Direct as to delivery and this despite calling on a few occasions. randomly I then receive an email to say the delivery is scheduled but no date when or tracking information or opportunity to reschedule. the items arrived the next day and as i was at work left at my gate.”

“Customer service is poor. The telephone greeting is bad...if the call is not answered by an Agent, the only option is to call back or send email. Completely unhelpful. When you finally get through to an Agent, what they tell you about order status is unreliable.”

“I placed my order on 26 March for over £1400 worth of products. The accessories came within a few days followed by one of the water butts. The two final water butts didn’t arrive within the stated delivery period granted there was a bank holiday weekend but still late. I phoned customer support who stated it would be a further week before delivery as it was being shipped direct from their supplier. One week later still no delivery. The order status on my customer page said it was shipped and the order complete. I called customer support who claimed the order was complete but would now check with their supplier and let me know what was happening. No feedback from customer support but the next day the shipping company called to arrange delivery which arrived on 21st April. I suggest you change your delivery company because on the shipping documents it showed it was picked up on 3rd April and obviously just sat in the shipping warehouse for over two weeks. Poor delivery service and attention to detail.”

“The water butt was delivered on time but it is a square butt and they sent a round stand. The pipe from the drainpipe was far too short to be of any use and did not reach. So have i gone back to them. No Im fed up with poor service and have fixed it all myself. I will go elsewhere for the next 3 butts I am buying.”

“My order was held witholut being told, even tnhough I had paid. After an e-mail I sent one week later they sent it quickly. Instructions for overflow device are pathectic and I gave up trying.”

“Having ordered 2 water butts from the company, with a good experience, I decided to place an order for 1 200 litre aerobin. Unfortunately my experience this time was poor all round. Firstly the one I ordered wasn't available (despite being in stock). This was communicated a week later that a replacement colour would be sent. I asked for this to be delayed by 1 week as I was about to go on holiday, which they agreed, but then sent it anyway. It arrive d while i was away, ;wft with a neighbour several doors away and no indication who it was left with. Understand delivery issues are not fault of comany, however absilutely no assistance in helping me locate and meant I was just knocking on every neighbours house trying to locate. Once I unboxed and tried to assemble the thing, was a complete disaster and ended up with broken panels. Zero resolution from custoemr services, despite multiple emails, photo evidence. I gave up in the end after 2 weeks and the aerobin went to the tip. I left a review for the aerobin composter, however water butts direct have chosen to not publish this to the product page and the 200litre aerobins have zero reviews on this site - curious! I have no faith that any issues will be resolved with this company and therefore woul d not purchase anything again from them in the future.”

Hi Tracey, on checking our records I confirm that in May we responded to your e-mails asking for assistance by sending you detailed instructions on how to assemble your Aerobin. When you damaged parts during the assembly process we asked for photos of the damaged parts so we could replace them. I can't see that we had a response from you, but if you did I can only apologise for not getting back to you. It might have been worth calling us and we could have tried resolving the situation which would have meant that you wouldn't have had to throw your Aerobin away. Original Organics

“Purchased, delivered installed and rather depressingly shrinks in size when full, to the extent that the inflow is no longer level, but 4 or 5 cm's below the original height, which proceeds to drip. It will be interesting to see if it returns to the original height when emptied. A review was requested.”

“Bought a hose for Graf Speedy filter, but it is not the same size or quality as the hose that came with the filter kit, despite being marketed as the same brand. SKU OBA-11-55-1027-1M The filter comes with a 40 cm hose, which isn't long enough, but the replacement is much less flexible and slightly wider diameter. Expensive at £10 and poor quality.”

“Recently I purchased my second water butt from your company. I wanted to order a butt and stand without a diverter but with a connecting kit instead. For some unaccountable reason you insisted on sending the diverter as well as the connection kit. I now have an unwanted diverter which is obviously a more expensive item than the connector so a small discount on the total cost should have been made, but no, I had to pay £10 for the connector and now have a diverter that Is surplus to my requirements. The product is good, the service from your company is not.”

“I've been waiting more than 4 weeks for my water butt and still no sign of it. It appears the issue is primarily with the courier, but the company has been attempting to resolve the situation for over a week and still nothing. I am currently awaiting an update - but after 4 weeks it's getting a bit silly and I will be requesting a refund. I offer a 2* because communication has been quick and friendly - something which many companies lack. My advice... pick a better courier.”

“No info on pipe diameter of the diverter, so I ordered the wrong extension hose. I had to cobble together with mastic and jubilee clips to make it seal. Also the pipes on to the diverter and the butt leaked at both ends and needed gaffer tape to seal. Although email warned that items could come separately I fail to see the necessity of 2 "linked" water butts coming on separate days.”

“Not a good first experience. Basically they sent a bungled order. Got only one of the 2 butt's I ordered, and I got a stand I didn't order. Also, nowhere in their confirmation of the order do they state the particulars of the order. The 2 agents who helped me on the phone were courteous and helpful.”

“While the water butt and stand are good and what I expected, there was only one inlet/outlet pipe with a plastic nut to secure it which meant that the spigot didn't have a nut or vice versa!. Luckily I managed to cannibalise material from my old broken water butt otherwise the new one would have been unusable. The water diverter doesn't have a cap so all sorts of dirt and leaves could get in to block it. Rather a disappointment”
