Extremely expensive. Appaling delivery. Minimal, confusing instructions. Needing extra parts to be usable despite the very high price.

The quality of the butts is excellent the delivery schedule was shocking by dpd who completely let down this element of the delviery. Of the 6 water butts I ordered, 1 arrived Saturday morning, 4 arrived late Saturday evening when the same driver argued the order was complete ! If you order 6 you expect 6 not 5. The final butt arrived on Sunday thrown over our 2.4 metre high gate, no use of the intercom and recorded on our CCTV - not good at all especially as this driver was a different driver and had no idea what was in the box marked handle with care !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No kits included to link the 2 butts as pairs and no reply from Water Butts direct customer relations. A sad let down of an otherwise good quality product.

I feel incredibly disappointed with the service I received. I spent a lot of money ordering multiple items from this company to then be ignored when an issue arose. One of the items was a Harcostar 227L Water Butt, Stand and Diverter Kit, it was delivered with a large hole near the bottom which clearly hadn't been checked before sending the item out for delivery. It's a faulty product. Initially, there was prompt email communication but I have not heard anything for over two weeks and my emails in this time have been ignored and not responded to. It's a real shame as I thought this would be a reliable company. Unless I hear anything soon, I shall not be ordering from them again and certainly wouldn't recommend them. I feel very let down

The water butt arrived and upon opening showed a large blemish around the whole of the butt. I telephoned the company several times, only time receive the same voicemail each time. I keft a message for a return call, as suggested. I emailed the company via 2 different emails, showing photos. To date, no one has the courtesy to return my call or arrange a return if the item.

At the moment the rating is one star because the latest order did not come with all the connections required. There has been no answer to my phone calls for a week, the email including photos has been neither acknowledged or replied to.

Ive heard from family and friends that the products are good, but my experience of the company has not been great. They advertise products as IN STOCK, but now I am receiving emails telling me of delays. Having researched om trust pilot this seems to be their method. It feels dishonest and I am considering cancelling my order and searching elsewhere.

Item received in a damaged box - with no protection for the WaterButt. Instructions are poor - and had to refer to the Internet on how to assemble. I escalated the poor delivery and packaging to Water Butts - who did NOTHING with my complaint. I think that pretty much covers it......

I ordered 3 items from Water Butts at the start of July 2025 , 2 of which arrived promptly. However the 3rd item, priced £17 has not arrived. I contacted the company in August and they sent another item via Evri. The delivery advice first said it was being delivered that day, then it said it would be delivered the next working day. Nothing has arrived yet, despite contacting Water Butts. Not impressed as this saga started 3 months ago...

Order placed 6th Sept. Water Butts Direct sent email 11th Sept wanting feedback on item; I sent email to customer service about non-delivery. Evri sent email 13th Sept that it had received item. Didn't here back from Water Butts Direct until 15th Sept, email said item had been shipped. Evri then said item would arrived on 16th Sept. However, it took Evri until late 18th Sept to deliver water butt (after at least 2 delays). Did Evri loose water butt? DON'T USE EVRI.

Web site stated 18in Tru Drop planters in stock, however after waiting 2 weeks no delivery or response and items now shown as out of stock. After phoning and requesting refund I was informed I would be contacted same day for resolution. Still no response, very poor communication, hence will wait a few more days and raise issue with my credit card company.

I cant leave less than 1 star or I would have done so. I ordered 3 items over a week ago so that I could set up an irrigation system in my garden for when I am on holiday. Water Butts confirmed my order took payment and I awaited delivery. Today I received a very poor excuse of an email saying the item is out of stock, so I will get a refund in up to 5 days time! Too late for me to reorder from elsewhere and have the irrigation system set up. No headed email or proper apology just this message. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!.... good afternoon unfortunately the item ordered is not in stock, therefore I have cancelled your order. the refund was processed to the original payment method this should be with you in the 3-5 business days kind regards Stephen

The company lets you order and pay for out of stock goods and only refunds you when you enquire as to where your package is.My one star review takes into account Steven Haggaths speedy reply to my email and a swift refund.PS Be warned that when phoning you might get a loud shrill in your ear,I did and wasn’t pleasant.

Communication with this company is dreadful. I ordered 2 water butts, received confirmation email of my purchase, then nothing. Chased it up, a while later got a response saying there had been problems but I'd get my order no later than a couple of weeks' time. Asked for a tracking number, didn't get a response. When the deadline came and went, chased up again, and again, then got an update saying one item would be delivered, another would be delayed again. Asked to receive regular updates and was told "we're in a very busy period with hundreds of orders each day and it's almost impossible at times to keep customers up to date". Some more time passed, one was delivered, one wasn't...chased up again...eventually received the second item, 38 days after purchase. Unfortunately a hosepipe ban is due tomorrow and I have a brand new, empty water butt to not use immediately. Lucky it's apparently going to rain the next few days. Given the poor comms and delivery delays, I'll take my money elsewhere next time.

Extremely disappointed that there is no drain pipe connection. If not supplied, this should be made clear so customers can add this to the order. what a waste of timer. wont be using this company again.
