“The Bolton branch manager was rude. Despite her team having assured us that we didn't need to pay an additional £100, she said that "she wasn't there and so it wasn't her responsibility"!!. She wouldn't back down, was quite nasty to a 91 year old woman, and kept saying - "I explained it over the phone and you said OK" - really? She told a 91 year old woman (who might have just woken up or been feeling poorly) about extra charges over the phone and reckons that was being empathetic? Truly the worst service I have ever witnessed.”

“The treatment I received at my recent appointment was very thorough and the optician explained everything clearly and in detail. The other members of staff were very helpful while conducting the other tests and sorting out my two new pairs of glasses.”

“Great service and wonderful staff, had a great afternoon with Emma and Liz at the Malton branch.... I would highly recommend any one to pay them a visit..... Good price on glasses too 😊”

“I have used Scrivens for many years without complaint. As a smaller company they offer a more personalised service rather than the corporate face of much larger opticians. They are very competitive on price and offer good promotional discounts, rewarding loyalty. The staff at my local branch are extremely friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and provide a 1st class experience.”

“I haven't had a eye test in some years so when I found Scrivens Opticians in Liscard in the wirral I was delighted very friendly team and optician who was doing my eye test was very good and explained everything it turned out I did need new glasses I'm very happy with the service ☺️”

“Waiting for branch to ring back never do you always have to ring. Went into a branch in Wolverhampton to get new tubes assistant changed them put wrong size in then proceeded to tell me after she had thrown the original away so had to go to another branch. One of my aids started buzzing took it to the Bilston branch said they would need to send it away still waiting 3 weeks on always going to ring you back never do its always the customer that does the chasing. Suffering from headaches and earache from only having one aid can’t hear properly. Never had any problems when I had them from West Park Hospital. My advice stay well away”

“Chesterfield branch , manageress and staff excellent, solved a problem, that I had been left with from another optician, glasses now great, price not really at more , than I would have had to pay elsewhere , with my particular prescription, optician I saw very impressed with, could not be better, jo”

“Disgusting service. Branch say they would ring me back in 10 minutes, then never ring me back, Always waiting weeks for contacts lenses to be delivered when promised a week maximum. They always promises and nothing ever happens.”
