I attended the Chesterfield Branch with my mum Mrs Janet Middleton who is 87 for both hearing and eyesight tests. She was delighted with the professional care she received and the attentive polite and friendly service she was shown from Tracy and Selina with regard to her glasses being chosen and fitted once made. Also she would like to thank the optometrist who examined her eyes and Sarah who did her hearing test. All her visits went smoothly and on time. She would like to pass on her thanks as it meant so much to her the be treated so well and with such care.

My existing hearing aids were over 6 years old. Despite trying they could not be adjusted to an acceptable level. I was shown a selection of replacement models with excellent information on each with no pressure to buy. I returned after deciding to renew and had a couple of choices. After very patient explanations the choice was made. On picking them up and being given help to understand its features the change was incredible. I cannot thank Jolanto Baines from Midsomer Norton enough for her knowledge and patience. Incidentally all the staff were friendly and upbeat.

Pay by direct debit monthly for contact lenses and they never arrive. Tried calling emailing, can never talk to anyone. Do not use this company.

As always my experience at Scrivens was fantastic, such lovely caring staff who do actually care that you're making the right purchase. In particular Diane Cater was fabulous, nothing is ever too much trouble and the offer of calling back into branch at any time if you need any support so a huge thank you.

All I would say some of your staff need better training. Even though I had an appointment I was treated like someone who had just walked in off the street and the receptionist decided she was going to tell me what was wrong with my hearing aids, even taking them apart in front of every one in reception and getting me to put them in. I had told why I was there, it was almost like she knew better then the trained expert that I had my appointment with. It was demeaning and embarrassing

Visited the Gosport branch today for a hearing test. I just want to that the service I received from the caring understanding compassionate professional audiologist young lady Miss E O’Mahony was 5 ***** all the way. I could not have been dealt with better than the polite understanding way she did with me. I hope the branch manager reads this and values such a wonderful member of their team. I must also mention Andrew who guided me through how I maintained my hearing aid and how they worked he was a really nice man who was 100% professional and polite. Thank you both, you both put me at my ease in what was a stressful time for me. I would 100% recommend the Gosport branch without hesitation.

Eye test week before Christmas which was professional conducted by both optician and support staff. No complaints here other than the high cost of the spectacles, (more expensive than Boots or Specsavers). However, when my spectacles were ready for collection I received a txt and contacted the local branch number (Bourne End , Bucks) which must have been busy as I later got transferred to a centralised number (as I was advised later by your staff) and told to turn up anytime to collect spectacles. When I followed up on 22nd December I was berated for not having booked an appointment by an officious assistant. Having contacted your organisation, prior to visiting the branch, I took offence at this, whereupon attitude changed to I was busy, phoned engaged and so transferred to Head Office who do not know what they are doing! She did, however, deign to give me my spectacles. Having spent over £700 on spectacles (almost twice Specsavers) I do not appreciate this treatment and will not be using your company again. Talking the talk about family business and service is one thing, unfortunately experiencing the reality is another.

I just happened to call in on the off-chance as I lost my bud from the end of my hearing aid . Even though I'm not registered with them a really helpful young lady very kindly offered to make sure it wasn't stuck in my ear canal . Luckily it was OK. I would just like to say a big thank you to her so THANK YOU

Wonderful service as always. The eye rest made it easy to choose the best lenses. All information was good. Choosing the frames was really helpful as I never know what suites me. Choosing the best deal was also done very helpfully. Thanks to all the staff.

Reasonably satisfied overall with service and hearing aids. However the tube entering the ear canal is quite rigid and I find myself continuously pushing it in to my ear as it feels as if its coming out. My main gripe is that the batteries only last 9/10 days so I must always make sure to carry spare. Previous aids, using same type of battery would last up to 16 days.

Having booked a hearing appointment with scrivens for my 94 year old mother, I was contacted yesterday and told that the appointment that was made a while ago had to be cancelled due to an ADMIN error. This was two days before the appointment. As it’s all on computer I can’t see how this can be. On asking how this had happened the chap kept saying they were sorry. Well sorry isn’t good enough for a 94 year old lady who has memory problems, also has one broken hearing aid and another that needs looking at. They don’t have internet, don’t have a smart phone, are hard of hearing and walking. I have a feeling that they were bumped off due to their age. Come on scrivens get it sorted. The truth as to why would also go a long way, insincere sorry does not cut the mustard. Let’s hope the re scheduled appointment in two weeks time won’t be cancelled 😡..

With a weary heart having been sent to Scrivens by QA I went along to see them. I assumed that they would be like the previous, different opticians shop that I had a dreadful experience in Portsmouth with. Also the audiologist that cleaned out my ears said that she had poor feedback from her customers about Scrivens putting me into despair about my visit. Then I met Ester in Havant Scrivens who picked up on my attitude, and went in a direct but courteous tone to tell me that all the audiologists in the shop were trained and efficient. Then went on to clearly demonstrate her knowledge in the fitting of my new aids for me. So go along to their Havant shop with confidence that they will look after you, are all trained but in my experience also, actually care for their customers' welfare. My new aids work well, and can be programmed from my phone as Ester showed me. So it is all good I am delighted to say.

Last Friday (14th July) I took my relative to an appointment we had made for an eye test at Scrivens Gosport, made in desperation as he had a painful and bloodshot eye and was not able to attain NHS help due to sadly overrun GP and Hospital facilities. In his eighties and almost completely deaf he received truly Royal treatment from all 4 4 of the staff and in particular the lady who carried out the test. I sat waiting for my friend and was able to overhear her gentle but elevated voice clearly through a closed door. Unusually, he seemed to hear every word and was thoroughly tested and examined. He left with what proved to be an accurate assessment of an ulcerated cornea, eye test results and her observations summary and a list of follow ups advice including to persevere for an appointment at Q.A. Eye Dept. He did. Armed with her findings and informed on his injury, he is being treated for his ulcerated cornea by Q.A.. The service, care and respect he was shown by Scrivens Gosport was outstanding. Be proud of yourselves.

From start to finish my experience with my hearing aids was amazing I was at the Rugeley branch and Stewart did my test and hearing aids. He explained everything so caring, that I knew I was in good hands; and once my hearing aids were in; I walked out with my head held high knowing my hearing would never be a problem ever again. They’ve changed my life for the best

My husband and I visited the Stone Branch yesterday as my husband was having trouble with his hearing aids. The staff were patient and understanding with him, particularly when he returned a few hours later with a similar problem. Thank you. It is lovely to be treated with some respect, especially when getting older.

The wonderful team at Scrivens saved me from disaster. Having had my specs destroyed by an idiot Labrador, I popped in and, miraculously, 2 hours later, I was presented with what looked like a brand new pair of specs. No charge! You are amazing - thank you so much

My hearing test was easy to book and was very thorough. The practitioner was very friendly and reassuring. When I collected my hearing aids, everything was explained and any questions answered. I was impressed with the service and know that if I have a problem in the future, help is readily available. I will certainly recommend the Thornton branch to my friends!

I booked an appointment this autumn with Scrivens in Upper St Giles Street, Norwich and they have been completely brilliant. Judy McBride runs a strong team, she & all her staff are lovely, friendly, helpful & have a warm professional manner. I was advised by my optician to have varifocals and felt supported by Judy & her staff in trying them, and finding the right frames was fun as there was a plenty of choice in style & price. I highly recommend this particular branch of Scrivens as my experience of being their customer/patient has been perfect 10/10. Thank you.
