“I lost my distance glasses I rushed round to my local Solihull branch (Union Road) Although the lady assistant (Parveen) was in the shop alone due to staff illness etc she was absolutely fantastic Whenever I have visited this branch I have always felt very pleased All staff are delightful but top marks must go to Janette and Parveen My hope now is that i have my new pair by Wednesday so I am able to drive Carole Preston”

“Elaine and Jo-Anne from the Heanor branch were excellent! I’d broken my favourite pair of glasses on Saturday afternoon (without them I’d really struggle and one lense had fallen out). I rushed around to the branch to see if anyone could fix them and to my relief, Elaine and Jo-Anne said they’d do their best to see what they could do. Within an hour they called and said they’d been able to refit the lense and material keeping the lense in place. I collected them 15 mins before closing time and am over the moon (and is the reason I can see today to be able to write this review!). Thank you ladies, it’s very much appreciated.”

“I received an excellent courteous and professional service from both the opticians and hearing care departments at the Scrivens branch in Shaw Oldham. All of the staff were most helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. I am very happy and would certainly recommend them.”

“I recently had an eye exam at the Peterborough scrivens store.. I was completely blown away by how professional all the staff were and the exceptional service I received. All the staff were extremely helpful and nothing was to much trouble they all went above and beyond. I was so empressed with the service that even tho my vision was stable I bought some new specs and have highly recommended the store to all my family and friends. I would like to add that the product range they have within store was really nice credit to the store manager and Dispensing team for running such an efficient practice thank you so so much. I definitely will be a long permanent customer if things continue to this exceptional level.”

“Not got though the door, my husband and I had appointments for 9am and 9.50am.at 8.50am it started to storm with wind and buckets of rain.a woman came to the door opened it.i thought how nice,we can get out of the rain storm.But no she said go and get a coffee.i said only a few minutes before appointments.Cant let you in we don't open until 9 am.i thought how rude and thoughtless. I said to my husband, that it was rude and I won't be going in for my appointment.Now both my husband and I are disabled,I walk with rolator not that this makes a difference.i was appalled at the snappy attitude of one of your staff.im waiting in my car for my husband,he stayed and got wet.the scrivens store is stamford.my name is Elizabeth,I hope you can teach your staff some manners.i don't know her name she sped off to quickly.thank you for listening to me”

“Second time I have used the Sutton Coldfield branch and once again the overall service from everyone I met was excellent. Friendly, professional and efficient staff happy to help with the process from testing through to collection.”

“The Dr recommended I visit as I am having headaches and wanted me to have a retina check. The person I saw was thorough with his test but not very nice to me. He was concerned about getting nhs payment as I had a test a few months ago. His manner was awful and he made me feel very uncomfortable during the time I was there. The manager picked up on how upset I was when I came out of the room and was very kind and said she would speak to her head office.”

“I recently attended Scrivens Market Deeping for a contact lens check and eye test. It was a brilliant experience- all staff were really friendly and helpful and made me feel very comfortable. I would highly recommend them.”

“Can't get an appointment toget to get them sorted after being sent for repair been on the phone been promised cancellation but it never happend 6months now can't use them as they have to be put through computer but it's!impossible to get an appointment by phone very poor after care so I can't use them , one appointment was cancelled on the day disappointed to say the least”

“Great personal feel to Scrivens, friendly staff who actually take the time to get to know you and what works for you. Very professional and not overpriced, got me in for a same day appointment also at last minute. Optometrist was incredibly friendly and throrough, and didn't charge extra when I needed an unforseen extra test. Fantastic experience for me.”

“My eye prescription did not detail the intermediate add for VDU use (although there is a box for this on the prescription paperwork and other opticians provide this as standard). Despite expressing my concerns about this to the Cotteridge branch manager, Ann, who initially gave me figures over the phone on 8th October which then changed when I spoke to her again on 15th October (so what am I to believe?) and the potential financial impact of purchasing glasses or undergoing another examination to provide me with confidence, a new prescription was not provided or refund offered. I am frustrated by the poor customer service of using Scrivens and will not be returning or recommending.”

“Lenses r great n do wat they shud.however ive been given 2 pairs with exactly the same frames! not the frames i picked n wil b very easy to mix up the glasses n pik up the wrong pair which i have done already.im tryin to put photo on this but wont let me”
