“Made an appointment 4 days in advance at the Mexborough branch. I arrived 30 minutes early on the day (8 March) and sat waiting for an hour. The technician suddenly appeared, and I was told she had nipped to the toilet but she then MrsDavisreappeared with her coat on and left the building without speaking to anyone including other other staff. I was not impressed at all and did not rebook.”

“Wow! Total respect for the ladies and gentleman who helped with my eyes and ears. Professional, friendly, fun, helpful, informative, HONEST and patient. “Great staff at the Cheltenham shop, walked in got an appointment straight away. Very Lucky. Great help with choosing my frame and the rest is history. Glasses are brilliant.”

“I am treated like royalty from the moment my reminder for my appointment comes to the moment I step out of the door. No long queues for attention I'm treated like I matter and within minutes. Fantastic choice of glasses and all the help given with staff who give me a honest opinion when I ask for it. Prices are very reasonable and there are style to suit all. Best thing I ever did changing my optician to Scrivens only wish I'd one it sooner. First class!”

“I was seen on time, the people who dealt with me were all pleasant and friendly, my new glasses were fitted and measured with minimum fuss and I received them within the week - the whole experience was very good.”

“I had an eye test in July 2018 which was fine, but when I went to collect my new glasses I knew straight away that they were not going to be suitable as everything was blurred. I was told to give them a try for a few days to see if I could get used to them and was given a printout of my prescription. When I got home I looked at the prescription and found that it was for someone else! I tried the glasses at work for a few days but they gave me a headache when I was looking at the computer screen and so I had to leave work early to return the glasses. When I got to the Opticians I was told that the Manageress wasn't there and so I would have to go back on Saturday morning. I returned the prescription I had been given but mine couldn't be found anywhere so I was left worrying who had it as all my details were on there. On the Saturday when I returned I was made to feel that I didn't know what I was talking about when I said that the glasses were unsuitable for me to use for the screen work I do all day. It was agreed that I could have the lenses changed, but they are still not completely satisfactory because I can get by using them for the screen but I still have to use my old glasses to read, which means having to carry 2 pairs of glasses with me all the time.”
