For a number of years now i have always used larger high street opticians having to go back and forth many times to deal with problems with any new glasses i have had. This time i decided to go with my local optician Scrivens in Cheadle in Staffordshire they had the time to deal with me any questions get answered helped me choose glasses that were right for me checked and measured my eyes so as when i got my new glasses they were right first time, not even a struggle getting use to them all this no rush. Treated as a customer not a number well done and thank you.

Enter the Grantham branch and I was immediately in an oasis of calm. I was greeted and quickly led to the testing room where Raj (Optometrist?) checked my medical history and performed all the tests I needed whilst clearly explaining (with a cutaway model of an eye) what the tests meant and how my eye responded to various events. Raj was very profesional, knowledgeable and friendly. Great selection of frames - no pressure to choose and all the prices visible! Quickly ran through the options, had eyes measured and done! Absolutely 5 star service from Raj, Simone (Branch Manager, I believe) and the lady training to be as good as the others (sorry I didn't catch your name, but if your bright red hair is a reflection of your personality then you will go far!). Looking forward to my next visit in 2025 already!

It was the first time my son had an eye test, the staff were very welcoming and professional. The optician was very good talking with my son and this put him at ease. I can’t fault the experience from start to finish. Thank you!!

The customer service at the Upper St Giles Street Norwich was excellent. As this was my first hearing aid I was pleased at the information I received. Hannah was really helpful during test and then the fitting of my first hearing aid. Really happy with all the staff at this branch. I would recommend to any one I know who is needing this sevice. Thankyou.

Was sceptical as have had bad experience with opticians. But really nice people especially Gene Finn. Who was patient and kind, Thank-you.

Absolutely terrible service. I requested a refund on two pairs of glasses as the prescription came back wrong. After three weeks I enquired about my refund . They told me they had the wrong card number to process it. After two days wait they then took the same amount of money again from my account instead of refunding it. Total £954. I am a pensioner and can ill afford this. I am still fighting to get my money back. Be very careful with this company. I might add the shop staff were more than helpful but the headquarters and accounts department need to go back to school.

From start to finish my experience with my hearing aids was amazing I was at the Rugeley branch and Stewart did my test and hearing aids. He explained everything so caring, that I knew I was in good hands; and once my hearing aids were in; I walked out with my head held high knowing my hearing would never be a problem ever again. They’ve changed my life for the best

On 24.4.23 I attended Scrivens, Ringwood having received an NHS Hearing referal. I found both the reception staff and the person conducting my consultation to be personable, highly professional and a credit to the organisation. I received an extensive audio consultation and test and was fitted with two NHS approved hearing aids. The improvement in my hearing is immediately noticeable and the equipment is both simple to operate and discreet. Thank you.

Not a good company. They sent me a letter in March to say I am due for a hearing aftercare appointment. So today I called and was told not due until next YEAR! Why send people the wrong information them

Absolutely diabolical! I have been waiting 6 months for a hearing test appointment. I phone them regularly in the hope they have something available but keep being told it will be soon. How long is soon?

Attended Scrivens Stratford Road Shirley for an eye test. Easy appointment booking with reminder. Courteous welcome. Professional testing. Great help and advice to select most appropriate lenses and frames. Nothing too much trouble. Didn't feel as though I was being rushed or pressurised. Great team at this shop. Very satisfied with outcome and the Varifocals that I now have. So much better than other well known high street competitors. Fully recommend Scrivens for a professional and friendly service.

Mike Pollard,, uncomfortable to wear, gave up after a couple of days, received one email to say someone would be in touch with me, over two weeks ago, still no contact, no instructions how to clean etc, so stopped wearing them. Back to the drawing board! No doubt this won't be published as only the good ones do!
