“Professionally executed eye and contact lens eye tests, yes there were two of them. Both done, one after another by friendly and capable personnel, with an additional benefit of a hearing test screening too. Thoroughly recommend them all.”

“I rang twice to Scrivens Lymington, automated answering machine told me how important my call was to them and informed me that the call might be recorded, on both occasions I was cut off (not good). I decided to take the 30 minute journey to see them to find a note on the door “Closed on Mondays”. (Nice). I googled to find another and headed to the one in totton. Got to the door and a lady met me there to inform me she was going to lunch. All I wanted was to make an appointment to have a hearing test, I explained what and where I’d been but clearly she didn’t have two minutes to help (not impressed with there customer service). Lucky for me there was a spec savers across the road and they were really helpful. Booked in for a test next week and it only took a minute”

“My mum Mary was more than happy with her experience at Scrivens. She is 98 and can get anxious but the calm and supportive way all the staff displayed was excellent. This is including the lovely optician who is so patient explaining everything to mum and the equally welcoming lady who took down details and checked the history and the man who helped us choose the frames etc. Many thanks to you all.”

“In around Feb 2023 I made an appointment at Scrivens Market Deeping to see whether they could help me with trying contact lenses as I permanently have to wear glasses . I was with Spec Savers Stamford and a few years ago I did go through a short trial period for rugby refereeing but this failed. Specs Savers didn’t really support it very well and it aborted quite quickly! At my appointment with Scrivens, I spoke with David the optician . He was absolutely brilliant, very kind, informative and patient. Despite some setbacks regarding my complicated prescription he persevered in getting me the right contact lenses. Due to his determination and professionalism to give me an opportunity of wearing lenses over a 3- day weekend I’m now wearing them successfully! I’m so delighted with them and at £22 per month, to me it’s brilliant value! It’s so nice in not having to wear glasses all the time and for refereeing perfect ! I would also like to thank all the other staff who are always friendly and helpful! Well done Scrivens if it wasn’t for you I would have always been stuck with glasses ! I now look forward to my Fri, Sat and Sundays where I don’t have to put glasses on!”

“Bourne Scrivens - My daughter poked herself in the eye late one afternoon and we was booked in for the next day for an eye test. The shop was peaceful and the staff were helpful and went out the way to talk to my daughter. The optician was really good with her - she is only 3 - and we was assured that her eye health was OK and prescription was OK for her age. It all ran smoothly and on time. We have recently moved to Bourne and I am going to be sending my husband and parents there from now on too! Thank you”

“I just popped in to the Wimborne branch to get my specsavers glasses arms tightened. The lady took them from me and in minutes they were mended. The lady was so kind to help me. A real pleasure”
