“I’ve already completed a review. I feel quite upset with Scrivens on the basis when I brought my glasses I was not made aware of the offer which was on at the time. A none customer told me, when I queried it I was told only the manager could make the decision. I rang again after the bank holiday and was told only head office could make the decision if I should receive the offer, the offer which I should have been advised of at the time of me buying my glasses. I was phoned and told as a “goodwill jester” I would be given the offer!! My concern is as a valued customer I should have been given this offer, not as a goodwill jester, but because I had brought my glasses at the time the offer was on.”

“The staff were very attentive and helpful. They also cleaned every where to keep us as safe as possible. We felt no pressure from any of the staff.”

“My first eye test last year 2019 was excellent, however the frames were faulty and it took nearly a whole year for one young girl to admit they couldn’t be adjusted as there had been a fault in the manufacturing of the frame. They were sent back and replaced with another pair which have been fine. I had a test today and felt the optician was unprofessional did not follow Covid rules. Masks are meant to be worn properly. I have sent a complain to your department but writing this to ensure other customers are aware.”

“Excellent service and choice of spectacles. I've been visiting Newark branch (previously known as Melson Wingate) for 30 years now and have always found the staff very friendly and helpful. Can recommend this opticians to spectacles and contact lenses wearers. I can also recommend their hearing care.”

“I've been coming to Scrivens for years - good staff, good range of frames, good prices. The corona-related measures you have currently are great. It's been a while since I bought sunglasses and I can tell the tinting technology has improved, as they're just as dark as I've always had, but much lighter to look through. A special shout out to Jo, who helped me pick the perfect everyday frames!”
