My 86 year old mother has had 3 appointments cancelled for her hearing test. 1 test on the actual day, 1 at 7pm the day before, the last test blaming the medical centre for cancelling. Complete lie as we contacted the centre and were told the truth. You obviously have no respect or customer integrity. Let me see you publish this feedback review.

Be very careful. lost an earpiece and bought another one from the Bearwood branch. I was informed it’ll take a maximum of 10days. Two weeks later I telephoned to see what’s happening and was told that head office is still waiting to find out which ear they need to provide!! I complained and of course nobody would take responsibility. 😡😡

My Father who is aged 86 years old rang to make an appointment for himself and my Mother . He provided the requested details for himself and made an appointment but was unable to remember the name of the GP for my mother , he advised that they have the same GP and that he he had just provided the name for his details , he couldn’t recall my Mothers mobile number but said that he could provide the landline number , this was not acceptable and my Dad was unable to make the appointment. My Father was upset that he was unable to make the appointment and advised that they would call in person into the Surgery. I am unhappy that my Father was upset and that the call handler did not make reasonable decisions bearing in mind he was speaking with a hard of hearing elderly gentleman , perhaps extra training should be given to staff.

£60 to have two ears cleaned. Or £60 to have one ear cleaned, and go to the hairdresser's to get your ear hair trimmed.

Went for GP referred hearing test and was found to have moderate hearing loss. Upon being told the increased risk of dementia by audiologist, I told her I wanted to do some further research into this and that I would be back. I made a further appointment by going into the branch as nobody ever answers the phone there. I had NHS hearing aids fitted in the space of 10 minutes. She stuck them into my ear, did not demonstrate how to put them on/in or take them off, did not check I could manage this, did not explain anything nor checked loudness. She just referred me to the front desk in the shop (no privacy) where I was given a booklet and batteries. Needless to say, the hearing aids caused immediate problems such as a continuous buzzing sound and much louder hearing in one ear than the other. I contacted my GP and have now been referred to my local hospital's audiology department as I have no confidence in Scrivens! I then looked at my patient record and found a letter from Scrivens that was both inaccurate (she had not filled in any of the outcome of the test) and a lie (she stated I had decline hearing aids). Shocking!!

What a complete shambles of a company, arrive for a hearing test excessive noise from above, fan noise compounded with chatter of the business. Refuse to go here if the hospital refers you!

I would like to point out I HAVE NOT HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE when dealing with Scrivens Fishponds Road. Why that has been showing on my I Pad, I have no idea. It’s very much THE OPPOSITE OF SUCH. I have always received an excellent service at the Fishponds Bristol branch. The staff are totally committed to their work, all are knowledgeable, helpful and are a credit to Scrivens. Thank you.

My 93 old father who is very vulnerable was sold inappropriate hearing aids which continually fell out and filled with wax. He returned the devices just outside the 60 day return policy and now they are refusing to refund the £3500 they took off him. The audiologist who took him for this money has left and they are using every tactic available to avoid refunding the money. Avoid at all costs

Dont touch them with a barge pole!!! My glasses were not fit for purpose and they refused point blank to replace frames that obviously were never going to fit my face properly. They made continual adjustments over the space of 2 months or more and kept saying " see how you get on"! They now sit in a drawer and are not used.

I have been waiting for over a year to get an appointment in the Havant branch to get my NHS hearing aids updated, now due for a repeat test. When I call the phone goes through to head office, who promise to ring back when an appointment is available, not surprisingly no ring back occurs. Maybe I should go back to my GP and get referred somewhere else.

Appalling In Every Respect One star is more than the Gosport branch deserves, particularly the troglodyte manager there. The way they have dealt with my elderly mother beggars belief. They made mistake after mistake in supplying her hearing aids, failed to grasp that when mumbling or turning their back on her when speaking, she couldn't hear. No apologies, and then claimed that my 90 year old mother was aggressive to staff and have discharged her. How utterly cowardly do you have to be? A 20+ stone man afraid of a 90 year old senior citizen, what a joke. Wouldn't use this lot if they were the last company on earth. Absolute affront to society.

Appalling service. They’ll try any trick to sell you their expensive frames, multiple frames and won’t give you the information you need if you decide to take your prescription elsewhere! Disgraceful.

I'm disgusted with the way Scrivens in Wimborne has treated my father, they supplied substandard frames that were coming apart in a matter of weeks, and although they replaced them the same defect occured also within weeks, but although they volunteered another pair of the same shoddy own brand frames they refused and are refusing to refund the cost of the glasses as they say the lenses are ok, even though they clearly can't be used without the frames and we don't believe the frames are even adequate... they have been nothing but obtuse, rude, disrespectful and negligent and I would strongly encourage everyone to go elsewhere for their eyecare unless they are going to be happy with broken glasses... they've dragged this out so long they now say the guarentee has expired anyway.

Went to two scrivens stores today. Burslem and Wolstanton. Both said open until 5pm both were closed by 3:30pm wasted trip in traffic,

I had the worst experience I’ve ever encountered at Scrivens Maidenhead branch, I was sold under pressure a Starkey Hearing Aid price £2400 for one. I was not told the hearing aid was old technology despite talking to the audiologist about new technology. I was not given a follow up appointment, I was extremely unhappy with the aid which was not helping with the areas I needed. I made an appointment to go back, the audiologist I saw had left Scrivens, I found out that a new Starkey aid came out approximately two weeks after my purchase. At no time did the audiologist tell me a new aid was coming out, he did inform me that there was one being tested but would not be available until middle/end of 2024. I returned my aid for refund on 7/12/2023. I was informed by the branch manager that she didn’t have the authority to refund me, only head office could do that. Despite an email (not answered) and 2 telephone calls to customer service I still have not received my refund, just told it’s being processed. I ask how long does it take to refund money in this age of instant banking. Today is 30/12/23 how much longer do I wait until I either have to get solicitors involved or small claims court. Worst customer service I’ve come across.

Either Scrivens are deaf themselves or so arrogant that they ignore everything you say. Despite my telling them that I want nothing more to do with them due to the absolutely useless new hearing aids they inflicted on me. They continue to pester me with calls, emails and letters. Basically they believe that harassment is a good thing. Once again I say to Scrivens "Leave me alone and remove my details from your database" Try this unique ID Code 164045 from your latest unwanted communication. I did complete the questionnaire and it should leave you in no doubt that I will never set foot inside a scrivens again. Why is there not a zero stars option?

May 2023 - Hearing tested and supplied with hearing aids within 35 minutes! After which I discovered several pieces of information, by internet research, not offered to me at that time, including that the aids could be adjusted via an app on my phone. This I learned from a friend who uses aids!! June 2023 - Six weeks after my appointment I received an email asking how I was getting on with the aids. I replied they were uncomfortable (making the back of my ears sore) and I was finding minimal to no hearing improvement from using them. An email reply said it appeared I would benefit from extra help and one of the team would contact me in the next few days. To date (December 2023) no such contact has been made. December 2023 - My Daughter, tired of seeing me struggle contacted head office and arranged another appointment for me at the more local branch in Weston super Mare, my first appointment had been in Bristol. Monday 18th December 2023 - My appointment booked for 9.30 am I drive towards Weston and at 9.07 am my mobile rings. It is Scrivens, Birmingham asking if I am me! Discusses my appointment time etc. I ask if the call is essential as I am driving. The reply is yes appointment is cancelled!!!!!! No audiologist is available. I am offered another appointment, but before this can be arranged it becomes necessary to check my date of birth, full name and first line of my address 'to ensure I am the right patient'!! Already my CANCELLED appointmenthas been confirmed and it's they who have called me. I reiterate I am driving and do not wish to take unnecessary risks by contining to talk while doing so. The caller suggests calling me later, I agree. Friday 21 st December 2023 - Surprise, surprise no call to reschedule appointment, but email thanking me for my support (something I have NOT received from Scrivens) and wishing me a Happy Christmas, looking forward to seeing me in 2024. Good to know they have a sense of homour!!!!!!
