10 days ago I ordered a new pair of verifocal glasses; Nikon lenses from the Banbury store (£500) The frames I choose in the store were damaged/had a piece missing. I pointed this out when placing my order and said to the member of staff I would need a new frame not the ones off the shelf as they were damaged. Today I went to collect my glasses only to find it was the damaged pair from the store. Perhaps they thought I wouldn’t notice! Obviously at no stage of producing these glasses has quality control been applied or even common sense! I now have to wait for 🤞new frames and for the store to fit the new Nikon lenses into them. Very poor customer service!

Two years on and we are struggling to get service from Huddersfield branch. It's 10 or 14 days for an appointment. We paid 3.5 k and are struggling to get assistance. We have seen many, audiologists, yet the latest excuse for a 10 day wait is the audiologist is on holiday. So are they all on holiday, is there no cover? I have tried to send an email to Ceo but he is not publishing his email address for customer use. We will complain again to head office, and hope they read this.

I purchased a hearing aid(£950) in your Ringwood, Hants, branch some 4 /5 weeks ago in the hope of improving my hearing ,to say I am disappointed is an understatement, I have now reverted to my NHS hearing aids, I intend to go into the branch to complain but do not expect much sucess. What a waste of money!!!

The staff at my local East Grinstead branch are always helpful and I have never gone away with anything less than a feeling of complete satisfaction and any matter bought to their attention has been dealt with very professionally quickly and confidently.

The optician was rude treated me like a fool and was unpleasant to the receptionists very bad experience would not recommend or use again! This was Diss Norfolk branch

I am 82 yrs of age and I lost my NHS hearing aids and was told it would cost £75 each to replace and I can’t afford that. Even If I was able to claim on the house insurance then that would put my next policy right up. So I manage with out them.

I wrote a review about a week ago. I was told to take it up with customer services which is a complete waste of time. Been in touch with them twice with no success. I still have a pair of driving glasses which I paid £258 and are absolutely no use to me. I would never use them again and certainly not recommend them to anyone. Please read my previous review.

Had a hearing test via Spa Medical centre which led to a referral letter from the hospital stating that I needed 2 hearing aids. Tried to book appointment via scrivens at Spa medical but was told that I needed a referral from my GP. Gp had already done the referral hence the hearing test. The gentleman on the phone refused to make the appointment without yet another referral. Went to specsavers who was another provider on the list and appointment booked for fitting with no issues at all. Advert says it all, should have gone to specsavers first

Never answer the phone, impossible to get through to the Waterlooville branch, get transferred to a call centre who are not at all helpful.

Very unhappy with service. Have used Howes of Royston for a number of years. In the last few years I was prescribed driving glasses on 2 occasions and both times the glasses made my vision worse. The first set December 2022 I was given a refund. My last test was September 2024 again these made my vision worse. I was told I need to wear them and get used to them which I tried as I thought if I did not wear them and I was involved in an accident I would be at fault. I tried but could not get used to them and I was given another test. The examiner said my vision was fine without them and it was not a requirement to wear them when driving. I am not going to wear glasses which make my vision worse. In all my years of driving I have never had any problems. I have never needed glasses for driving and at present still don't. I asked for a refund but was told as I had them for 5 months I was refused. I am now left with a pair of driving glasses which cost £258 which I am never going to wear. I am a 72 year old and live off my pension and feel my money has been wasted.

Tried calling 4 times Hunslet branch Absolutely ridiculous. I have made a great mistake using them. Do they ever answer the phone.I need to change my hearing aid appointment. for later in the day.what times are they open for me to speak to someone

Blackburn provide an extremely poor audiology service. My vulnerable mother in law has been left for deaf since Scrivens have still not provided the fix that was paid for, over the phone, 21 days ago.

I purchased a hearing aid worth 2000 pounds from you, no one told me that it was a waste of money and that it was actually a scam, because it is impossible to replace the batteries in the device, I came to you to replace the batteries but you did not agree to do so, claiming that a full treatment was needed, and you also did not agree to give me a quote, how much it would cost. Well, I intend to contact the authorities for lying and selling products without the possibility of replacing the batteries and without being told when I purchased them.

An utterly useless company. I received a pair of NHS hearing aids which ceased to work after only a few months. Trying to get replacements has been an nightmare. First they failed to respond to a helpline request within their stated timescales so I had to chase this up. Then, when instructed to return them, I received replacements after about two weeks only to find one of them didn't work at all. On my subsequent trip to the Scrivens audiologist I found her brusque, unhelpful and not in the least apologetic and was told I'd get a replacement in 3 weeks. Well, that 3 weeks has expired and I still don't have working hearing aid although an appointment was made for me today only to be cancelled at short notice. So that's over two months I've been within hearing aids! Dreadful customer service and an appalling service to the NHS. Avoid if you can!

I've tried to make two bookings of an appointment. Have had no response to either of them. I received a written reply confirming my third booking. When I arrived for the appointment they had no knowledge of me. How do I get any service from Scrivens?

The staff at the Witney branch of Scrivens are very caring and helpful particularly Paris who was very patient, kind and patient with me as she guided me through the difficult task of choosing 2 pairs of glasses even though there were other customers waiting for her attention. So lovely to have such pleasant individual attention and I will certainly continue to have my next eye tests in the future there.

Terrible after care service for Hearing care. Had my Hearing aids in 2023 from Alsager branch & since then they have been sent away at least 3 times to be repaired & then break again within a week. Getting an appointment is none existent. Spent almost 9 weeks without aids as appointments kept being cancelled. Will never go there again

I had an aye test and order glasses on prescription, though I found them very expensive but I ordered glasses. I recieved one pair out of 2 I ordered in almost two and a half weeks and second pair in almost three weeks. My experience of using their glasses is not good unfortunately. There is smoething wrong as my eyes are not relaxed after wearing them. I told them about this but they insist on wearing them for atleast two weeks. Two pairs of glasses cost me about £430 and results are not good. I don't know what is their return or refund policy. Does any one have any idea?

Do not use Scrivens for NHS hearing aids there customer service is none existant continually send wrong fittings so your hearing aids are useless and you are tied to them for 3 very long years. Due to there inability to issue correct tubes and domes l have been living in a silent world again.
