“The staff very friendly and helpful and very welcoming I couldn’t decide on what glasses to get and their helped me plus when I went to get my contact lenses their told me if I had any problem to come and see them I would like to thank all the staff for their hospitality and to keep it up Shaida misri”

“Had my eyes tested and paid for frames in January.....Scrivens had two 'goes' at making my specs but failed miserably....at the end of May I decided to ask for my money back!!! which they happily did.....lesson learned. ...I have to say that staff at the Shirley Solihull branch were fantastic...Scrivens are lucky to have them.”

“I can't praise Scriven's staff enough. I was treated with courtesy, made to feel at home, not made to feel my ancient age, and and very professionally. I would definitely recommend Scrivens.”

“Scriven sold a hearung aid to my 89 year old mother-in-law. A short period later her local service closed, asking her to make a long journey for check-ups to the next town. The opening hours are very limited (1 day a week). We are now facing additional bills of hundreds of pounds for finding another after care service. very disappointing and would not recommend.”

“I visited the Brandon branch of Scrivens because I knew there was a problem with my sight in one eye, unfortunately you never seem to see the same optometrist when visiting and so it was on this occasion. After explaining that I knew something was wrong the optometrist carried out the examination on both eyes, he wanted me to return in order to carry out further tests (no appointments available for about 3 to 4 weeks) but assured me that he could see nothing wrong and that I had nothing to worry about. Not convinced by his manner nor conclusion I visited a popular high street opticians for a second opinion about two weeks later, the optometrist listened carefully to my concerns and then gave my eyes the most thorough examination I have ever received. He referred me directly to the hospital where AMD was diagnosed in the eye that I was concerned about and treatment began soon afterwards. How one trained optometrist can spot this easily and another not is beyond me, do they not realise that people’s eyesight is precious and checks should be thorough whilst listening to the clients concerns? I have no faith in Scrivens at all now and am aware that the wrong diagnosis and therefore delay in getting this treated has cost me some of my sight in one eye, however I have nothing but praise for the professionalism of the optometrist at specsavers. Further to this nobody from Scrivens has made contact to offer an apology nor help of any kind.”

“Service was great product really poor when I ordered the glasses it said ultra thin which the the lady said would be thinner then my old ones. One lens is twice as thick and the other one three times as thick getting more and more people joking with the old jam jars think the ultra thin part needs looking at on the paperwork really disappointed”

“I was treated like a queen. I had a thorough eye and ear test.I was helped to choose the glasses that suited me the best and I also had a good time,laughing and joking with the staff. Probably the best appointment I've ever had. Thanks to the lovely staff and another customer. Brilliant all round. Thanks everyone x”
