Install was easy and quick. Joining to the app was problematic but copying the link in the email and posting in a browser not the app seemed to make it work.

The process of purchasing the charger was fairly straightforward. I did find the pre-installation questionnaire a little tricky to complete as I am in a new build and didn’t have a lot of information easily available that PodPoint needed. However the customer service team was able to help me. The project manager assigned to my installation was also very helpful and knowledgeable and was able to make arrangements for my specific requirements. I think the price is reflective of the quality of the product, its functionality and the installation, which was all very good. The engineer who installed my charger arrived on time and was very communicative and knowledgeable. He was very thorough in inspecting and preparing to install the charger and he was good at explaining what he was doing so I could understand the process. He was very respectful of my home and made every effort to ensure the install went smoothly. He was good at giving a demonstration of how to properly use the charger, what the lights meant and what potential errors could occur and what to do if they did, as well as instructions for safe use and maintenance. He left my property in a very tidy state. Overall, I was very pleased with my installation and purchase, and I would recommend PodPoint to anyone.

Recently had an install at home. Generally very good. As a very experienced commercial electrician. I could see that the installation was very clean, to the regs and to a very high standard. I didn't choose to install myself as my installation certification that i use belongs to the company i work for. The total price of install direct with podpoint was excellent and much cheaper than all the other quotes. The only negative i can give. Is that although the installation was great. The cleaning up after needed something to be improved.

I have been impressed with pod point as a whole, from the initial booking process, and the installation questionnaire, to the communication regarding fitting times and availability. The gentleman who fitted the device was very helpful, talked me through what to expect at installation, was able to position the charger exactly where I wanted it and the work was completed swiftly and neatly with all mess cleaned up. Since my vehicle has arrived I have had no issues with charging and I find the app easy to use at home and at external charging points. I cannot recommend podpoint enough. Thank you

TL/DR: excellent customer service, sound app, charger works well, top stuff. As someone completely new to owning an electric vehicle, I asked a few friends about their experiences, and Pod Point's name came up. Once I'd registered on the website, a member of the sales team got in touch to help. By help, I mean actually help, by answering my questions, explaining the options, rather than putting on the sales pressure. Once I'd picked the unit - I'd decided on the 7kW Universal Charger, separate security key, and detectable charging cable - it was time for payment. That went through without issue and then I was issued an installation form. The form requires a number of photos - your earthing cable, the potential cable run from electrical units to the charger, account details of the electrical unit, fuse boards, etc - and that took me about twenty minutes to complete. This is probably the most faff in the process, but the form did submit and all was fine. The next working day I was asked which day I'd prefer for installation and by luck, I got the next day. The engineer who visited was a local lad and he did an excellent job all round. The unit was installed without any fuss and after a bit of drilling, fitted to the outside wall and a hidden cable fed back into the garage. The engineer showed me how to reset the unit, how to lock & unlock using the key, what the coloured lights meant on the charger, and ran through a quick manual charge by hooking up my car to the Pod Point. Do pay attention to the use of the key as this will affect the scheduling in the smartphone app later. Keep the booklet that explains the colour codes to hand until you're familiar with them. Also, the yellow and green lights are quite close in colour, so be aware of that. All mess was cleared and I was told to wait a day for the Pod Point IT system to link my ID to the unit. Until that happened, I had to switch on manually, but that's not a major pain. Once the app was active, I was able to set a schedule to charge my car on the cheaper rate electricity. The app can take two rates - daytime and night - and it will show you how much you're spending. The app works and has been reliable over the last week or two. My feedback on the app is would be great to have a "charge now" override button would help. Likewise, a status report on if the Pod Point is locked by the key or if the vehicle is charging. Since installation I've had a request for a review and also a certificate for the electrical work.
