Device was installed but left not working. I raised a support call but had nothing but an automated response. I followed up with a call which did resolve the initial problem, but two weeks after install I have still not been able to charge my car due to a subsequent inexplicable failure to charge. I'm having to wait until the weekend to follow this up again.

Several things. First we were told that the installation couldn't be made as we were on a looped electrical circuit. We aren't but I couldn't convince you of that. Then, when it was decided that we could be connected and an appointment made no one came (the installer had a family problem but no one told us). Then when a second appointment was arranged the installer arrived but told us that he wouldn't be able to install as the fuse box was too old. We had sent photos of it to you so this should have been identified before any appointment was made. Finally, at the third attempt we had a successful installation. And this time the installer was excellent -polite, efficient and tidy.

From paying to finally getting the point installed was 5 MONTHS. Countless broken promises from PODPoint (no callbacks, no chasing up to make sure promises had been kept, etc etc etc), constant chasing and more stress than I could imagine on something so simple

A one star rating is not low enough for this incredibly poor experience. Pod Point quite happily took my money in full for my charge point back in September. It's now December and you guessed it - I have no charge point. They failed to pass on any of my survey details to the installer. The installer turned up after over a month, without any of the survey details, so had no idea what they were doing. They immediately looked and confirmed there would be a large additional charge. They said Pod Point would get in touch with me to quote the additional charge. A month later, Pod Point still haven't contacted me. I've emailed them multiple times, nobody replies. Don't bother trying to contact them, because they won't reply to you. Now I'm in limbo where nobody is going to install my charge point without additional work, Pod Point are not providing a quote for it, so I am stuck. Nobody has bothered to reach out to me to check that the installation went ahead, or ask if I've had any issues - you would think after 2 months they would be chasing this. Meanwhile the money I paid for this charge point sits in Pod Points bank account, earning them money. God knows what has happened to the grant I applied for. All of this could have been solved if Pod Point would have come out and done a survey, but were insistent I had to book and pay to even get someone to come out and look at my proposed set up. So in short: don't bother. Really, don't. Pick a local installer - Pod Point just outsource it to them anyway. They will come and do a survey for free, they won't overcharge you on additional work, and you'll probably have a much smoother experience, where someone will actually respond to your emails. Wish my luck getting my refund.

At the moment I will only give you 1 star because I am unable to give you 0 stars. The pod point has not worked since installation and despite reporting it twice now, you have still not got back to me. Why have you not? You were quick enough to take my money. Please start talking to your customers.

When, point was installed it didn’t work, and no one would believe me. Each time I phoned about it I was fobbed off. It took at least a fortnight to get someone to actually come and look.....and he found five separate faults which made it impossible for the hub to work. A less patronising approach would help.

The engineer did not have the lock I had ordered when he installed the pod. I then was basically fobbed off for several days, emails not answered, giving the same information to your support team as they had no idea about the problem despite me phoning several times. I was scheduled to have the work completed on 3 days and on each occasion the engineer did not show up. They finally arrived at 6pm on the fourth date scheduled after I phoned the engineer to remind him

Booked the engineer back in October, pod point brought the appointment forward which was fine the as I have taken the day off unpaid for this day the engineer did not turn up received a text from him at 14:15 saying he was still on his first job and would be with us after 16:00 this we replied saying was ok. The engineer did not turn up so we contacted pod point and they were going to speak to him to find out the issue did not receive a phone call. We then received a message from the engineer saying he was going to call the following day between 10:00&11:00 again he did not turn up informed us by text saying that he was stuck due to an accident on the road And would be there later on and did not turn up again this I did not believe so I contacted Pod-Point again who managed to book an other engineer to attend which we received yesterday two days later I think the service we have received is unacceptable and un professional we have not received any form of compensation for this and I think this should be considerate as we have been messed around from the off.

Installation was booked; I took a day off work. Noone arrived. Installation was then rebooked for a weeks time (4 weeks after paying), engineer did not call and claims that he was at the property but noone knocked on the door. It was then rearranged for the following day. Very poor.

The point didn’t work because the engineer had reversed the polarities meaning another engineer had to be dispatched to resolve the issue. In addition to this the point wasn’t installed where I originally wanted it because the cable wasn’t allowed to cross my private path apparently. The cable length I ordered therefore doesn’t reach the front of the car, despite the engineer assuring me it would, when the car is reverse parked so I have to park nose in to get the cable to fit and then turn the car around to face the correct way for the following morning. All in all not great I think it’s fair to say.

We are still waiting after over three weeks from the first contact (28/10/19). Having supplied detailed photographs, we were then required to have an on site survey (8/11/19) and still waiting for the installation!

PodPoint very promtply took my money, sent me the forms to complete and confirmed that I was all set to go. At that point all contact dropped off despite me emailing, calling and tweeting - I even tired the CEO (who didn't bother replying). Eventually I got a refund but even that wasn't easy. Disappointing given the high number of positive reviews and I won't try to use them again.

James contacted me the day before to confirm he was coming and at what time. He then arrived the next day on time and explained what he was going to do. He went through it all with us and confirmed where exactly we wanted the pod point installed, as well as where the cables would run. He did an efficient and tidy job, and made sure it was all working properly before he left. He also gave us 'top tips' about how to use it and other EV charging in public areas. He was excellent. **Addition to the review one month ago** The installation seemed great, but in fact, the charge point HAS NOT worked since he left!! I rung pod point immediately that day to say it isn't actually working, and they said they'd get someone to come back out...heard nothing for a couple of weeks... Phoned again and they said they'd put the job as a priority...still not heard anything. So they taken our money, and left us with a faulty charger, not once worked!! Incredibly disappointed. Went with pod point because of their good reputation and quality... unfortunately not the case!

Been difficult from start to finish. The engineer himself was all fine but the overall experience very poor

Still not working correctly, I have been told I will have to change wires over myself to fix the issue. Why did I even bother going with Pod-Point who never return calls or emails. Waste of time using them.

Pod Point are the self-proclaimed UK leaders in electric vehicle charging, but I have been repeatedly shocked by the appalling experience of our installation. From start to finish they have been disorganised and have acted like they have never sold a charge point before. Their service is heavily targeted at customers who have just bought their first electric car. I am not in this situation, I have moved house and already had an electric car, and they had absolutely no idea how to sell me a charge point. Their online sales system was a complete disaster, with everything I filled in online needing repeating over the phone, and an extra £279 whacked on the price 2 weeks after I initially paid online, and then the extras I'd ordered not arriving. To be specific: * I completed the form online to order a charge point. I **declared at this stage that I was not eligible for government grants**. * I was told at this stage that if I'd bought my car at a Nissan dealership I was eligible a discount - **no conditions where mentioned**. * I was told online that the next step would be that I would receive a **phone call** to book an installation. This was ideal as, having just moved house, I had no internet access. * At the point of my initial order, I ordered several "extras" including **a 7.5m cable**. * The next day I received an **email** asking me to complete an application form for the government grant I was not eligible for. * I emailed back and explained I was not eligible. **Information I had already given**. * I received a further email the following day telling me that, "that was a shame" and **"I'll cancel your order then"!** * I rang back to say that I was aware that I wasn't eligible for this grant at the point of purchase, that I had declared this fact at the point of purchase, and that I went ahead with the purchase anyway in the knowledge that I would not receive any grants. In this respect, with the exception of a few incredibly irritating and unexpected emails, nothing had changed, and I certainly did not want my order cancelling. * I asked to speak to an engineer to book my installation. I was begrudgingly "pencilled in" for an installation, but was told it wouldn't be confirmed until I had completed all of the **forms**. * There was some further back and forth of emails before I was **eventually sent a link to these forms** where I uploaded photos and descriptions of the installation location. * All of this required me to make **daily trips to the library** to check my emails and upload photos. * Two weeks later - **the day before the installation was due to take place** - I received a phone call asking me to provide evidence of my car purchase. During this conversation it became clear that I was **not eligible for the Nissan dealership discount** because of how long I'd owned the car. I was told I had to pay an additional £279 before the installation the following day. * When the engineer arrived to install my charge point, he did not have a 7.5m cable, and the reason he gave was because I had **"only ordered it yesterday".**
