Sadly my experience is the same as all the other 1 star reviews. Terrible service! Wish I had seen all these reviews previously! We will be reporting this firm. Charged us and left, within a few moments of using the washing machine the appliance starting smelling of a burning smell. We called and they wanted to charge double to come back! We asked for a refund and they said we needed to pay for a 3rd party to prove that what they did was at fault! Outrageous! WARNING!! DO NOT USE THIS FIRM! They don't deserve your hard earned money!!

We had an excellent service from Glotech a few years ago so immediately thought of them when we needed our oven fixed. This time someone turned up, turned the oven on, stared at it for just under an hour and charged us £130. We expected the faulty part to be ordered and installed but were told that it was unavailable and there was nothing they could do. We found the spare part easily online. Do not use this company. They can no longer be bothered to help their customers.

I was scammed!!! Came and did absolutely nothing (He just opened the fridge door) "Sorry this brand can't be repaired. " Asked me to pay £85 On the phone, I was asking the type and brand I have and was told that they can repair it. 👎

Terrible absolutely terrible and dishonest to boot. I phoned and asked a simple question. How much to change a heater element on my washing machine. Gave the make and model. "£125.94 for the labour plus spare part." How much is the spare "£110". Ok so you can do the job for under £250 "Yes". Booked an engineer who turns up. I ask, before we start can we confirm the price. " Oh I know nothing about spare parts I haven't got any they need to be ordered" ??? But I was specific about what I wanted done and expected it done that day!! Anyway he puts his meter on it and confirms what I had already confirmed the the heater element needed replacing!!!! He asked for the labour charge up front which I stupidly paid. Nothing for a day so. Onto customer services!! it gets worse. "Oh yes the engineer attended and said it needs a new element!!!" Anger welling up now!! I know I said I told you that on the initial phone call. "Anyway to proceed we need to order the part for which you need to pay for now so we can order it which is £152.94!!!" How stupid of me to think the engineer would arrive with the part and fit it. Hang on the quote for the part was £110. "We have no record of that (how convenient). Well as you have frustrated the agreement will you refund the labour charge as no work has been done so I can go elsewhere. "No the engineer attended the property" So you are scamming me for around £50 as the options are to lose the labour charge or pay the inflated price for the spare from £110 to £152. "You need to pay" They were not interested in the original quote whatsoever. Customer services were diabolical. Anyway the bottom line is that I am giving everything to trading standards, Check a trade, and anyone else that uses their service.

Absolutely a terrible service I booked out an engineer for an LG American style fridge freezer it took 3 days for him to come, he said it was the fan,this took another 5 days before they replaced it, he wrongly forgot to connect one of two wires of the fan causing the whole unit to shortout, it took another 3 days to check it was put in incorrectly and another 5 days to order yet another fan, only to find out it was diagnosed wrong and still not working as the fan was not the issue. We called customer service at least 5 times who didn't care at all they wanted another £140 to try re-gas the unit. I have asked for the refund of the fan as this was not needed still waiting….I then called the manufactured who fixed the fridge freezer on first visit which took 24hrs, it did not need re-gassing. DO not use this company they have poor customer service and terrible engineers who do not care about repairing your equipment, this company is likely to cost you more with unprofessional work or time lost waiting on them. NO STARS !!! DO NOT USE THEM!

Very poor service, and waste of time,they told me to pay for the part, which I did then they told me it came wrong part, the one I needed is double of this, I paid for it again, they said we don’t fit this part!

I booked online for a same day repair but received a call saying they didn’t have any availability. I agreed a 12.00-17.00 slot for the following day. By 16.00 no-one had arrived so I called to make sure they were still coming and was told yes and that the engineer would call 45 minutes beforehand. By 17.15 no-one had arrived and no call was received so I called back, waited in a queue and eventually got through to be told that the engineer was off sick and wouldn’t be coming. Absolutely appalling service. I had an issue with them before but thought I’d give them another chance. Never again. Don’t use them, they’re really bad.

Engineer showed up and said he had fixed the dishwasher. 10 minutes after he left, the problem persisted and the company are now requiring over £50 for a second visit even though it wasn't fixed in the first place.

Called to have my American fridge freezer repaired was told he'd be out on the 5th of July they then cancelled and they didn't show up until the 15th was told the lining in the fridge door was broken and they ordered new lining , was advised on the 17th of July the part was on it's way it n never arrived? Called them as they definitely won't call you and was advised it would be here the 19th of August that day came and went so again called them was advised it would be the 28th of August again never arrived so called them again only to be told there's no new date and I had to just wait ? So nearly two months waiting for my fridge to be repaired looked at the T%C,S only to find that if they can't fix your product they basically keep your money but because you tick the T%C,S you have absolutely no come back and believe me the customer service person will tell you this over and over again!! This is a really really nice little scam they have going on and all legal and above board because of their T%C,S... DON'T TOUCH THIS COMPANY YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!

I wouldn’t even give you 1 star! Didn’t turn up & expected me to be available on Friday.I too work! Had to pay you in full in order to make an appointment & then you tell me it’ll be 3-5 working days before you reimburse me my money!! My sister in law was at my house when I took the call & she said ‘What’s the firm’ & guess what it was your company!! You take peoples money under false pretences & I’m going to make sure people know about how you run your business.I’ve since taken a look at your reviews & I see I’m not on my own,looks like you have a habit of taking peoples money & not turning up when you should.

Fridge repair was booked for today between 8-5pm. I rang at 4pm and was told they would be there at 5pm. Rang back after 5pm to be told to chase the repair person myself. Absolutely useless company, don’t use for repairs!

I’d love to tell you about the service but 2 weeks in a row they failed to show up poor excuses included ‘we will send you a better engineer that knows those machines next week’ and ‘we didn’t schedule enough time for the engineer today’. Just offered to rebook despite the inconvenience we had suffered. Wouldn’t attempt to use. Steer clear unless you have time to waste.

DO NOT !!! Use this company they came out to look at my washing machine which was leaking charged me £100 and told me it was unrepairable I rang the manufacturer of the machine to complain as it wasn’t that old they sent engineer out and all it needed was a new drawer. Went back to glotec to complain they said send us a report so I forwarded a copy of email from hailer but they wouldn’t accept that they wanted an official report (whatever that is) it was clear they were not going to accept responsibility and refund my money so I let it go will never use them again and would not recommend

Rip off. Beware! Easiest £125 made by anyone. The fridge engineer spent about 4 minutes with my broken fridge. Didn’t do anything. His only advice at the end was to turn off the appliance for 48 hours.

Had a repair done on the advise of glotech engineer on my Bosch machine in May 24. Machine not draining. Got a quote for repair and advice on the best way forward. 3 months after repair, same problem. Review by the engineer gave another quote for £738. One wonders the professional experience of the first assessor and the sort of repair carried out. Best to seek second opinion with their engineer. Will not be patronising Glotech in a hurry!

Do not use this company for repairs - they take your money upfront so you are stuck with them. For a company operating in the 21st century they don't understand the concept of a courier service. Our dishwasher is now an experiment for all sorts of growing bacteria. I hope I live to see the repair carried out.

They didn’t bother to turn up or have the good manners to ring and say they weren’t coming. Rubbish or rather non existent customer service. I’ve booked a different firm for tomorrow

Did not reply to calls after failed to repair could not get part wanted to sell me new machine. Strange went on line got parts in 48 hours. Still waiting for reply to my phone calls

Danger in the small print with Glotech Danger in the small print with Glotech. DANGER. DO NOT USE Glotech for older appliances. Heres why. I have an expensive and brilliant old Falcon cooker. I paid Glotech £100 + any parts to fix it. Glotech know exactly which parts to replace. Glotech said they cant get the parts. Old parts are available...just not through Glotech. Glotech policy is not to provide part numbers for appliance they cant fix. Grrrr. The question is, are the parts actually obsolete or simply that Glotech lost their Falcon authorised repair status? Makes me wonder. Should may you find another supplier? You dont need the trouble. Has Glotech lost their Falcon authorisation? Thats why they cant give out the part numbers? Do Glotech buy all their parts on the grey market? Who knows? I'll phone Falcon. In themeantime, for quality old appliences. do not use Glotech. Actually their reviews are dropping...Is Glotech in trouble? Does that mean all their warranties are useless. You can do better, Go elswhere.
