No repair of wine cooler - told me they are rarely repairable but not told that beforehand. Charged £99 for call out for nothing. Complete waste of money.

This felt like a total scam. £90 to tell me in 5 minutes that the fridge was broken and the ACTUAL repair cost was going to be way more than just buying a new fridge. The parts list shown to me is so expensive that virtually any repair would be a waste of time compared to just buying a new product. Felt sick afterwards having been scammed.

Repair person came, and I advised how to park and waited an hour. When I called the office I was told they just left the appointment as they couldn’t find parking. Left with broken washing machine.

I booked an appointment to have my freezer checked. Minor point here - the default cost shown should include VAT, rather than have that as an option. The freezer appeared to recover, so I cancelled the appointment. The fact that I'm receiving emails as though the appointment happened indicates there is a problem with their record keeping.

Booked on line, received confirmation of booking. Waited in on the date due, no calls/emails or contact. No one came so called their office and was told that the booking was handed over to another company and so not glotech, they could not help and said to contact the 3rd party company they arranged..

Good morning, If we do not have an engineer available in the area you have requested we will match you with a Local Engineer who we have worked with we do explain this in the website and if on the phone the customer service team would explain if this was the case. we are sorry if this did not work for you on this occasion thank you for the feedback.

did not turn up on time and even the company could not raise the engineer ended up cancelling them and getting a reliable engineer who turned up on time and did the job definately would not recommend them for anything complete waste of timei

Good morning we apologise for any communication issues which meant that your booking could not proceed. Obviously any engineer issues regarding reliability for our customers are dealt with directly and investigated by the engineering manager . Thank you for the feedback , we wish you well.

There is no integration between glotech and the provider. Supposedly the provider called me and then cancelled my appointment as I didn't answer. I didn't receive a message, I didn't get any email and I certainly didn't get an update from Glotech. When I called on the day to find out when they were coming (as I didn't know that had cancelled) I got a quite rude customer service rep who was very nonchalant about the fact I took a day off to wait for the washing machine repair. When I asked if there was any way to ask for them to next time message first as with my work I can't take calls during work hours she said it wasn't up to her to do that, it was up to the provider. No additional assistance, no integration of the system. I don't really see the point at this stage using Glotech as it was just a barrier to the provider rather than an assistance to make the party easier.

Samsung cooker...make etc put on form TO BOOK APPPOINTMENT. Man came .....cooker discontinued....could have been checked by Glotech BEFORE attending etc., only 7 yrs old Samsung..... Glotech charged £99+ for the 10ins in my flat. Disgusting....I'm a Pensioner.....hang your heads, Glotech....... Disgraceful.

Although the company was quick to get an Engineer out to us to diagnose the issue and take our money for the work and the required part. Unfortunately they were absolutely shocking in finishing the job. Changed appointments 5 times on us. Being told the part was in then not in with another change of appointment. Really disappointing service to be honest.

I am looking at Reviews,and amazed to see there is no action or comments from Glotech about 1*2* reviews.They only replied to 4*5*. Do they really care to improve their service ? I have recently ask them for service and will be posting the horrible way they provide service.

I am sorry that due to staff shortages / illness in the office we have been unable to dedicate a person for the reviews to have investigations further than acknowledgements of the feedback for these type of reviews prior to replying to the full reviews. If a complaint is sent to the customer service team repairs@glotech.com it will be reviewed fully by the team in office as part of the normal daily procedures and would not be missed in this way. The reviews page is not looked at for individual feedback and investigations as we would anticipate a customer reaching out to the team and if necessary the customer service manager. Do not book them ,they are just a scam i booked for repair and the man didn’t even look at it and asked for £90 and said the same thing we already told him that drum is making noise.Highly unprofessional and scam ,ripe off site.

Good afternoon, looking at the notes on your booking which you made on the webb the fault was noted as "making a loud noise". When the engineer attended who is trained and experienced he was able to quickly deduce that the Bearings had gone, the seal had perished and a new heater was required on his report the cost of these against your appliance would make this uneconomical for you to repair, we feel that it is very unfair for you to review stating as you have when actually your appliance was in a very poor condition and this is not the fault of the engineer or the business. Had the engineer been able to address the possible fault from your description then he would have done so . Our pricing is clear and the cost of an experienced engineer attending is clearly given to all customers. Thank you we wish you well.

Didn’t even open the machine, not even 5 minutes, still not convinced the problem is the drum. I would have felt more assured if the top of the machine was taken off so as I could have seen the issue. £89 and a couple of minutes later and still not fixed.

Good afternoon. the engineer attended a reported fault of "Fault:Very noisy when spinning, possibly needs a new belt." however our experienced engineer was able to diagnose quickly that it was not the belt but was indeed the Drum which needed replacing. Due to the cost of this you chose not to proceed as it was uneconomical this was on the 7th June on the 8th June our team contacted you as a followup and you informed them that you had already replaced the appliance. We wonder if you were not confident with the diagnosis why would you not get a second opinion either from us or from a third party. It is always very frustrating that an appliance cannot be economically repaired whoever the appliance condition is not the fault of Glotech or the engineer. the engineer cost of travelling and attending still have to be covered and had you wanted to proceed after paying for the parts required there would have been no additional labour cost its just that the drum assembly, heater and seal required did not make it economical for you to continue. We do therefore feel this review is unjust in the circumstances, however wish you well. Thank you

I would definitely not use this company again. I paid them a call out charge each for 3 appliances and only one appliance was fixed. I was advised by GloTech that my fridge freezer needed to be re-gassed and on the day I had to sign a disclaimer in case it didn't work. Fortunately, it did work and I was therefore under the impression that I was covered if it broke again. Approximately 2 months later, it stopped working and when I called them to let them know they said I wasn't covered. They said that because I had signed the disclaimer it meant they did not have to repair my appliance. I disagreed saying that the disclaimer was only relevant on the actual day they initially repaired the fridge freezer but they never came back to me. So I lost approx £200 and now have to buy a new fridge freezer. I was also advised by their engineer Ben that I needed a new part for my dishwasher so in good faith I paid for the part. However, when he came to fit it, the dishwasher did not work and Ben advised that it wasn't the part I had paid for at fault. He told me he had called the office and they said they would give me a refund but when I hadn't heard from them I contacted them to ask for my refund. They simply said that Ben should not have told me this and that the part was non-refundable to me, even though I had paid for it on the advice of the engineer. In total I spent approx £400 in call out charges and parts and all to no avail. The company have never responded to any of my emails just choosing to ignore them. They pride themselves on a family run business but I think they are robbing customers left, right and centre and then not responding to any questions they cannot answer. I am definitely going to report them to the Trading Standards Committee but in the meantime I would warn anyone who is thinking of using them, not to. If I could give them no stars, I would.

Thank you for taking the time to give feedback, I do hope that you have also emailed to the customer service team and Bens team at Glotech Essex would have been able to reply fully for you. This is not the review site for Glotech Essex however I have reached out to them for some feedback which is as follows Three appliances, Fridge freezer oven and dishwasher. The Fridge freezer and oven have both been repaired. The Dishwasher had a cosmetic part which was a special order which you were made fully aware of at the time of order, and other parts ordered for this appliance. The Dishwasher was attended several times however there were installation issues which you needed to get rectified for the appliance repairs access to be made as this has not been actioned the engineers have attended on several occasions at no extra cost to yourself pending this action to rectify the issues and been unable to do so . From the last visit the machine was classed as Beyond Economic Repair however the cosmetic part which was ordered 6 months ago was not returnable / refundable as you were aware. There would seem to be no justification for a refund to you as the engineer team have done all they could to resolve the situation with you and this we understand may be cause for frustration however we do feel that this is an unfair review. All engineer reports and information are available directly should trading standards wish to follow up with the team regarding your report to them. I have been assured that there have been several phone conversation and the outcome has been a fully explained to you on several occasions. We wish you well and Ben and the Team at Glotech Essex are disappointed the situation was unable to be resolved.

Your engineer after looking in the fridge with a torch told me , there was a blockage somewhere, on ringing curry's helpline because I realised it still had a warranty they told me it only needed defrosting! Which solved the problem..so I really feel let down pay£90 for someone to come and not really no anything about the appliance..

Booked repair which was not done , sent another company out to do the job charged us £89.94 which is more than the stated £74.95 . To top it off they Could not repair the dryer and told us the part was nearly £200 . I would avoid at all costs , disappointing, feel totally ripped off

It is disappointing when someone feels that all of the information on booking via the website or on the phone is not transparent enough to give all of the details you required however we do feel that the information regarding bookings is clearly provided. In regards to the part the engineer recommended a part which is not available from stock and would need ordering we are sorry that the price of the part made this appliance beyond economical repair for you however with out attending the engineer cannot confirm some details. we wish you well and thank you for the feedback.

My washing machine needed a heat sensor a week ago, which I told them was the problem, told me could get in a couple of days and 6 days later after numerous phone calls, I still do not have my machine repaired but quick enough to take my money for call out which was over £120.00 including the part (£20 approx). I could buy one of these off the internet for £20.00 and get the next day but Glotech cannot. Last night I got a phone call at 5.30pm from an engineer saying was coming at 7am but I said I could not do that and phoned Glotech and now don't know when will come to fix it. They advertise "they take the stress out of getting your appliance repairs" but actually is anything but. I work for a medium sized appliance/kitchen company and my company would not treat customers like this. It is not the first time I have had an issue with this company regarding repairs and is anything but efficient and easy. My wife is partially disabled and has a skin allergy so has to wear clean clothes every day, so can imagine how much washing I have after over a week, and I also have to do things to help her at certain times, hence the need to have a time slot that is convenient, but still NO machine! The customer service staff don't actually care and am sure would be different if was there appliance that was broken.

Contacted Glotech for a repair to my cooker I told them what was faulty and gave them model number the repairman came to my home he looked in oven told me it wanted a new part and that they couldn’t get the part and charged me£99.45 pence only in my home 5 minutes and taking money off a old age pensioner disgusting

Glotech cancelled my appointment without telling me. I waited in all afternoon and did not get a satisfactory response when I called to find out where the engineer was. Extremely poor service.
