No repair of fridge/freezer but still charged £112. If the unit is unrepairable the call out fee should be either cancelled or substantially reduced. They charge the equivalent of about £500 per hour, does anyone honestly think this is justifiable? They are appliance fixers not brain surgeons.

Do not use this company. After charging £84 for spending 10 minutes to look at our dishwasher, they said we needed a new heater and controller. Knowing that both failing was nearly impossible, I found the time to do the repair myself. The controller which they were going to charge £137 for was in perfect working order. The heater (£30) (£40 from them) only had failed. They even had the front to write on the invoice that there was no power from the controller to the heater. An utter lie.

Turned up, diagnosed issue, told me they would return to fix. Called me two days later to say they could not fix and were keeping my money. Left my appliance with exposed wires! When I called to complain they terminated my call twice! DO NOT USE! They can't say they can't locate the booking like all the others their reference is 1183539

"Cowboys"! Nothing short of this. My dishwasher was not heating. After barely 10 minutes spent on the machine, the engineer said (and wrote) that I would need a new controller AND a new heater. Glotech (Ben of Lovegrove Engineering/ Essex Branch) insisted on payment for both in order to proceed. Indeed the engineer even wrote that there was no power to the heater so justifying the new controller as well as that the heater was not working. Knowing that the two both failing together would be incredibly unlikely, I decided to do the repair myself. My first discovery was that there was good power to the heater so what they had written was completely false. The controller was in perfect working order. Note that the controller costs £137 whereas the heater was £30 (£40 if from Glotech). I have therefore paid £84 for a call out that created an invoice for further work under false pretences so am thankful that I went no further. I offered Tasha of Glotech Essex the opportunity to refund me in the hope that this lack of integrity stopped short at the engineer. No such luck. No response now four days after my email. After phoning George of Glotech main office he said that someone would get back to me. Although he had only an hour on a Friday no one came back to me even to say that they would need a few days to get to the bottom of it.

A disastrous experience from beginning to end. I would not use Glotech again under any circumstances. Everything went wrong from the initial visit by an engineer through to trying to get my money back from them.

Engineer came and Check the Fridge first he told me can fix it after don’t waste your money buy new fridge 2 minutes spent time he never try after £100 charge from me with out noting I received email invoice £84 he changed me Extra money I never recommended this company agin.after I went read all reviews one 🌟 same done every where engineer never done the job charged money VERY CARE FULL

PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THIS COMPANY ENGINEER CAME AND ONE MINUTE CHECKED BUY NEW FRIDGE BUT HE CHARGED £100 NOTHING HE DONE VERY POOR , I NEVER 👎 EVEN GIVE ONE START , 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎 EASILY MAKING MONEY WITH OUT WORK

Couldn’t NOT recommend these people enough, it was a complete waste of ten minutes to be told to try to defrost or buy a new one, customer service was utterly useless, the engineer was only concerned about taking payment and leaving as quick as possible! Had another company find the fault and was fixed same day and were LESS EXPENSIVE!

Do not use them Scammers! They say they will help you and repair it. You pay for the 1minute visit where the guy tells you cannot be fixed, or could be done by external company at very high cost. But! Do not worry! They have great discounts for new appliances instead!!! S C A M M E R S ! ! !

Absolutely unprofessional. We are family of 7 with a disabled and elderly parents. I have been paying 13 per month for washing machine repair insurance. It's been a month since we have been going through replacement they still charging me for delivery and installation. I booked a slot for Monday when I called they said its for Wednesday you have miss understood. I took a day off from work I called to check what time in engineer coming and they told me unfortunately not Wednesday he will be cuming Thursday. I would not recommend anyone to go through this if I saved those £13 per month should have saved enough to replace it myself without chasing them and going through all this hassle

Service is not good, I haved problem with washing mashine maked voice man come check may 9 now is okay wee can to used is be work good. Next day washing mashine is not more spin, call to service say maked new apoiment and steel nothing. Service taked money and don't do job. Not happy whis service!

Engineer came look at fridge as I reported I Had a leak on the bottom left corner, he looked in the fridge said Nothing wrong after less than 5 minutes, I charged me over 112£ Called company back as leak continued, engineer come the next week pulled out the fridge, daisy Had a leak in the pipe, that he does not fix this, & I had to get a ply. Called on outside plumber? He replaced a small washer at the bottom of the fridge in the back, no Leak in the pipe, I called the company explaining the situation, while they were sorry could not refund the full amount as it was their call out charge, but they offered me 12£ Not happy with the service at all. Would not trcommend

Having made an online appointment it was cancelled and I was told to phone and rebook. I did this on and off all day but no one answered my call. I have now booked with another company.

1st appointment cancelled at last minute , waited in all morning for the 2nd appointment to be told that the engineer couldn't park his van!! We live near a main road in Scarborough! No apology from anyone. Wouldn't recommend and won't be trying to use them again!

Engineer had to come out three times. The margin on parts is extortionate. First visit the engineer was here for about 5mins without actually looking inside the appliance (an oven) to basically confirm my description of the issue. Ordered wrong parts which was ascertained on the second visit when he actually opened the appliance up, so third visit for the fix, of which I am not impressed by end result (CPU board with clock display which is now a bit wonky). Oh and I am still waiting refund for the parts I unnecessarily paid for (which were c.50% more expensive than if I went direct to manufacturer). In short, looked like good value, but underlying it cost me more than a new oven with an underwhelming fix. I suppose I can still cook with it, but I won't be using them again.
