The communication from engineer to office and back to the customer was poor. The engineers are contractors and are working for more than one company and also their own work, my particular engineer was also part of the trust a trader network and was taking their callouts as well. Sadly, my experience was that the company was tethered in red tape and forms and processes and it did not leave the engineer with any flexibility to find a fix. He cam, reported a fault, or confirmed our fault. Then instructed the office to order the part. And then I then had to chase the office for one, what was needed, and the price, and then schedule in the engineer again. A local engineer would of gone and purchased the part if it was available and fitted it there and then, or if it wasn't stock ordered it and then scheduled to come back, it just seemed there was no interest other than schedulling a return. I understand the engineer is paid per visit even though, we as glotech customers pay one fixed fee that covers any amount of visits the engineer has to make. From what I was quoted for the first part, glotech build this in, as the cost of the parts are priced well above what they are to buy, which is no consolation after paying the fized fee as once you've paid it you are pretty much committed to staying with them and ordering the part. My broken appliance was a dishwasher, which had never been used from new (it was in a new build and that was 8 years ago) so it wasn't through use or wear and tear. After being told after fitting one part, that it needed another to get it working, I decided to take the loss of the fixed fee and ordered a new appliance from aO.com as it was cheaper than ordering just the second part that i was told was needed, and there was still then the doubt, would we need a third part? I also paid a local heating and plumbing company to fit and didn't call glotech out as it wasn't covered as they didn't supply the new appliance. (which was the glotech fee, so I'd of been better in hinsight to of just brought a new one) hindsight is a wonderful thing! I used glotech wanting a professional service and a quick guaranteed fix. I didn't expect them to be using contractors. I wish i'd of used a local plumbing and heating engineer, It would of been cheaper long term and they'd of been more efficient with the inconvenience and visits which cost time and money off work. I'll not be using glotech again and I wouldn't recommend them.

Issue was not resolved.we were told by engineer that it can be repaired and he will submit a visit report to our landlord which is not received till dateHe said paid big amount for repair but nothing was done during visit.

booked online rang & confirmed no show so rang contractor who said didn’t cover area & had informed them of this when rang company back best they could do was 6 days later

Failed to show up for a booking, with no contact. I had to contact GloTech at the end of the day. The call was cut off and when I tried to call back, the lines were closed. No-one bothered to call me back, I had to call the following day. Despite having diagnosed the issue and charged me for the parts before attending, I've had two engineers out to fix my fridge freezer with the wrong parts, and am now waiting on a third visit for the correct part to be fitted. I also had a dishwasher repair that wasn't tested at the time and required another engineer to return and fix it properly

The first engineer spent only 15 minutes attending to my fridge/freezer and within a few hours I realised there was no improvement. Phoned again the next day but had to wait olmost a week for another engineer to come and was told it required to be replaced. Would not use this company again

Turned up and told us our freezer was unrepairable. Only here 10 minutes, 5 minutes of which was connecting the card reader to my Internet so I could pay you. Then to add insult to injury I received a bloody ridiculous email saying that you hoped my Fridgemaster was now working well. When I complained to the sender she simply said it was an automated email - as if that made it ok. I suggested she send my email to the IT team who created the automatic mail. I still think being charged the full amount when within 5 minutes the engineer knew there was nothing he could do, is unfair - although it is what you state at the start - nevertheless nobody is expecting to be told their 3 year old appliance can't be repaired. I am very disappointed all round and very annoyed at your follow up emails.

What a bunch of professional "Rip Off" Cowboys !! The agent clearly was not interested in fixing anything he was in & out of the house in less than 10 mins(that's around £8.00 a minute charge!). He spent longer doing the bill than looking at the machine. They advertise one price then charge you much more - when challenged about the price and shown proof that a call-out charge should be X amount he said don't worry about it!! Just pay now and someone (my boss) will be in touch to refund any difference. 7 days later NOTHING!! How these can trade under Check a Trader is a farce -My advice is DON'T use these guys, find a company that's honest & will take time to either repair or help you find a solution. These guys just take your money & run!!! Be Warned.

Very poor service extremely bad communication. Really hard to get through to any one was left on hold then phone call cut off when trying to complain Was told 2 different time slots and the guy then didn’t turn up till 3 hours after the latest time slot no communication of time change. Lost a whole days work and the guy that came still happy to take my money Was advised of the wrong part I needed and told the wrong information regarding price of park I needed

Never made it to the property to do the job and I had to find someone else. I was rung 20 mins before and the guy seemed very concerned about parking (I had noted when booking that it was permit parking outside the flat so parking outside wasn’t an option). Sure enough he rang from near the flat to tell me that there was no paid (or free) parking available. It sounded unlikely given a high street with lots of paid spaces very nearby but, taking him at his word, I said I’d pay the parking fine if he was caught using the permit only parking directly outside the flat. Still not happy/willing. It didn’t feel very can do - a plumber was in the flat 30 minutes before and had no parking issues and less than 3 hours later the replacement oven repairer (from another company) had no issues. Neither even mentioned parking. Can’t speak for their actual work, but if you are in a London flat and have no access to easy parking outside your place, this probably isn’t the company for you.

Engineer diagnosed the leak by removing the top panel. He did not attempt to remove the front panel. When left alone for 5 minutes a smell of very hot insulation was obvious. He told me that a new component was required as the motor was sounding very gritty. Component cost in excess kof £300.00. Ordered from Germany, fitted 10 days later. Result. SAME LEAK! Recalled to investigate, a different engineer, same company. Front removed. Hole obvious in pipe, it was wet. Ordered, replaced, no leak. Be wary of who you trust. Engineer manager has still not contacted me after 4 phone calls. Complaint ongoing.

I was contacted to bring the appointment forward a day.This l did and took an afternoon off from my work to do so and then rang me while l was waiting thst no one would be coming.Dreadful customer care

Would NOT recommend. Booked a service on website all confirmed to receive a phone call from extremely rude ‘manager’ telling me my booked appointment no longer available as priority went to clients who phoned in directly. When politely questioning how this system works he told me not sure why it is a discussion and hung up. Appalled by the customer service, extremely disappointing.

I call booked Glotech for a simple part (water heater) to change on my dishwasher, 24 days ago, 2 visits, 2 no show and the dishwasher is still not repaired and standing in my kitchen floor dismentled! I have spent 4 days waiting for the work to be completed, tacking time off work. they have taken £160 in total for the work and part yet nothing is fixed!! the repair man actually added damage to the dishwasher and that is why I am still waiting to be fixed!! I am totally outrage! its a total disgrace

One star is given for how polite and helpful the staff are otherwise zero stars for the company. Glotech sales state, "Make it easy..., Take the stress out.., Fast delivery. None of these applies to the company. Your service engineer could not repair my fridge freezer so I purchased a new Beco from you. I had to call 5 days later to ask about the delivery date as I received no information about this. I received an email from Kaboodle and booked a date. They only deliver on specific days in my area and could not give me a morning delivery. I told them I have a permanent commitment every afternoon on that day. Kaboodle would not agree to a morning delivery therefore I cancelled my order. 1) I did NOT find the process easy 2) I made 6 phone call therefore it did NOT take away the stress 3) I do NOT feel 3 weeks can be considered as fast delivery. I will not use or recommend Glotech or Kaboodle.

When making the appointment for an engineer to call I gave the model details of the defective cooker hood and was invited to pay the full charge in advance. Nobody checked that the model still had spares available. Imagine my dismay when the engineer called, checked the model information on line and declared it obsolete. He was with us for just 15 minutes, no work was done. The engineer said he would seek a charge reduction, which he did but the wasted visit cost me the sum of £100. Time and money could have been saved if the availability of spares had been checked on my initial phone call.
