I gave the specific model number of our cooker fan that we wanted to be repaired, only for them to show up and say that that type of fan no longer offered replacement parts. It took them 5 min to look that up online and then they charged me £150. They said they get this complaint often.

Terrible service, they are not interested in repairing your appliance, just want to get paid for booking a visit. Avoid them.

Charged me £105 to fix an oven door handle, only to then tell me that the door seal needed replacing and a new seal is not available so I would need to buy a new oven! circa £400 from them, and £105 wasted!!!

WARNING! READ THE SHOCKING REVIEWS BEFORE YOU CONTACT GLOTECH Made my enquiry via email specifying the make, model and parts required for my dishwasher. Received a reply saying the parts will need to be ordered in so I booked the engineer on the strength of that email. The engineer arrived (looked like he just came out of school) didn't even use any tools or open the unit to test it and said the parts needed are unavailable, the same parts i was told via email could be ordered in. The only thing he took out of his bag was the credit card machine to take £131 from me. I believe the engineer was sent out purely to collect the call out fee of £131 knowing full well that the parts required to repair the machine are not available. I feel like i have been ripped off and am now demanding a refund but struggling to get my calls or emails answered. Extremely poor customer service, i wish i had seen the reviews here before i contacted GLOTECH I will be contacting trading standards and my credit card company as i don't take lightly to getting ripped off

Confusion over the appointment first it was a pm appointment then it was an am appointment engineer arrived 3pm not notified stayed in all day Fault was quickly identified by very competent engineer I would recommend that your engineers wear overshoes when visiting on very wet days

The company is entirely a failure. My appointment has been cancelled 3 times. Every time we book an appointment, the engineer doesn't attend or even contact us to apologise. We were waiting the whole day for the engineer to attend the appointment and fix the washing machine.

I’ve had an issue with my range master dual fuel cooker, it’s trips every now and again which in turn trips out the electrics in the house. I look after my palliative mum who has hospital equipment. Had Glotec come look at it and have charged me twice for parts with 6 months warranty but issue still not fixed. Rang them again and was told nothing can be done as they have no available engineers in the area. Very disappointed bad experience and definitely will not recommend Glotec to anyone.

So called expert was enable to diagnose problem with washing machine, wanted me to pay for over £200 worth of parts which “MAY?” be the solution. He had no diagnostic tools and no means of technical backup for assistance. I felt he wasn’t a Glotec engineer but a subcontractor who could not full feel the promises of your company. Very disappointed!! Would not recommend Glotec. Unhappy

Massive rip off. Charged me £100 to tell me what I told them when I booked the visit and didn’t offer any solution other than ‘we probably can’t fix it - the best option is to replace your machine. When I asked for help in finding a suitable replacement they agreed but then treated this as a non urgent request.

Absolutley rubbish service cancelled first appointment made second sometime between 8-5 i cancelled a hospital appointment and waited all day they rang at 3-30pm to say engineer not able to make it .Rubbish service inept company not recamended. Go to gotch's far friendleir servcice.

Do not touch this company unless you want to waste your days waiting for someone to turn up who has no intention of showing! Booked it in on Wednesday as they were the only company who could do that day. No show and I had to phone them. Said they would come Friday but again, waited in all day and again no show and again I had to phone them

Terrible experience. Booked a repair visit for AEG fridge/freezer for Tuesday 28 October 8.30am - 1pm. Rang engineer mobile day before to provide serial number and detail of fault, he did not acknowledge or return my call as requested. He did NOT turn up, at 1.30pm, rang him again, no apologies, no explanation, he was 'running late' and wouldn't arrive until 5pm. Terrible experience, non existent customer service. Do NOT recommend this company.

AVOID. (job reference 1257384, 1268669) Initial Visit (£105): Our induction hob was repeatedly tripping the mains. Despite clearly explaining the issue, the engineer’s diagnostic method was limited to boiling water on the hob. He concluded that the appliance was “as good as gold.” No further checks were carried out, and the fault persisted. Second Visit: When the problem worsened, the same engineer returned. Again, his approach was to boil water on all four zones, which resulted in both sides of the hob and the touch screen failing completely (they were functioning prior to his visit). He then advised that both sides of the hob required replacement. We paid £700 for parts. Repair Attempt: The engineer arrived alone, despite stating that a second engineer would assist. The repair did not resolve the issue. We were subsequently informed that the touch screen board also needed replacing—something that could have been avoided had the fault been correctly diagnosed during the first visit. Damage Caused: After the engineer left (having ensured we signed his touchscreen), we discovered scratches on our kitchen island and a cracked induction hob screen. Customer Service: We have made multiple attempts to contact GloTech via phone and email, but all communication has been ignored. In total, we have spent £805, yet we are left with a non-functional hob, additional damage to our kitchen, and no accountability from GloTech. This level of service is unacceptable and highly unprofessional. We strongly advise others to avoid using GloTech. Our experience has been costly, frustrating, and completely unsatisfactory.

Job ref: 1268231 See my earlier review. This did prompt some immediate action from Glotech who phoned to say they would supply the dishwasher part - free of charge - and to fit it at a time to my convenience. Second phone call the next day came from a different person informing me that, as a gesture, they were providing the part free of charge. I said I already knew that (please refer to earlier review - communication clearly not strong). We arranged that they would come this morning and I asked - more than once - to ensure that it was an early morning appointment, not least because I had been told it would be an appointment to my convenience. (I also phoned yesterday. as a professional courtesy, to inform them that my mobile phone was playing up, and to request that they use the landline.) The booking confirmation, as before, said '8-1.00 despite my request for an early booking, and the promise of a time to suit me. It is now 12.40. Glotech called @ midday - using my mobile number, obviously, not the landline as requested. (Fortunately the mobile is now functioning.). They called to say the engineer was running late. I pointed out that he would be very late if we were talking about an initial appointment for 8-10. They said he was 'delayed' and would be 'on his way'. I pointed out that, having been waiting since 8.00, 'on his way' is absolutely no use to me. Apparently he will arrive between 1-2 - so much for an early morning appointment. And this is most definitely not to my convenience. Waiting in all morning for this sixth appointment has meant that I have missed an appointment I have paid for - cost £20 - and had to pay for an Uber for a guest who I'd promised to take to the station - cost £10. Will I get recompense for these? Is there any compensation for six visits, resulting in my waiting in for 5 hours (and more today) each time? Are customers normally meant to wait in for six visits for a simple dishwasher repair? I have given this review one star as I have to give it something in order to be able to submit this review. The engineer who did finally turn up at just before 2.00 appears to have done a fair job but, in summary: 6 visits; waiting time can be more than five hours; no times to suit customer requirements, even on the sixth visit; phone call from (so called) customer service appears to have no concept of how to deal with customers; communication within the company appears none existent. In total, a poor experience. I would urge customers to not use Glotech.

Customer care. Zero. I do not recommend this company. Appointment made in good faith. Then had a call to rearrange the time we had agreed on. Waited in all afternoon (12 - 5pm) No engineer turned up. No contact made. I phoned to enquire what was happening at 4.30. No explanation was given. A very unreliable company.
