Avoid Avoid this company!! The guy who turned up to repair my fridge said it can be fix and as soon as we get the part we will get in touch BUT someone contact me and said your fridge can’t be fixed !! I contact the fish & paykle and they said I CAN be fixed ! I have been charged £117 and now no one answer the phone !!!!

Glotech engineer said I needed a new thermostat and door hinges and would not repair my cooker until I paid £93. So I paid him and he said he would be back with the parts and fix,no sooner he had left my house I recieved a call from Glotech saying they could get not get the parts for my cooker and I would not get my money. I found company's on line who would supply me with the parts. Glotech were adamant they would not fix my cooker even if I got the parts. I rang a local domestic engineer who came and diagnosed my cooker as an element fault and replaced it with a new one, my cooker is now working nicely. I feel I've been ripped off by Glotech not only did they misdiagnose the fault they took off with my money, As a pensioner I won't be so trusting next.

The fee that you paid is illustrated as a call out and labour fee for our engineers to attend the property to understand the problem further. After this original visit, you are not charged any further for these visits. In this instance, the suppliers that we use are some of the UK's biggest and unfortunately were not able to locate the parts needed for your situation. Pleased with the response by your engineer. However, I found the call out charge excessive as the faulty knob on my oven turned out to be obsolete and could only be fixed by applying a drop of superglue to it - £93.54 is rather a lot for a small amount of glue !! Other than that - everyone I dealt with was very polite.

Good Afternoon Jan, Firstly we would like to say that we are happy with the experience in relation to the booking process, engineer interaction and the politeness of our team. Concerning the issue with the price; the fee paid is a standard call-out and labour fee for the engineer to attend to the property to understand the matter at hand. Until the engineer arrives we are unable to fully diagnose the problem and in response know the part needed and the availability of the part also. Engineer was brilliant, thoroughly checked washing machine and advised that I had been worrying about the wrong thing!! Will use company again (probably to order a new circuit board!). Very satisfied with service.

A simple way to book in and get a view on a repair etc. Sadly they couldn't fix the machine because Bosch are the only company that can programme the inverter board. They kindly refunded the fee because they couldn't do anything which was great.

Appointment was delayed a week ( obviously can not help illness) The technician came and told me my fridge wasn’t worth repair and the call out was £93 in a total of ten minutes. He told me he had sent a email to the sales office and someone would call me with a quote. Unfortunately they didn’t. I rang the second day and was told they would either ring me or send me a quote by email , unfortunately once again they didn’t! So they lost a sale and I lost £93 !!

I booked a repair for an available date on their website for the next day being emailed saying I would get a call to confirm. The next day, an hour into the repair window, I got a call advising the first available date was 8 days away!! This is not good customer service! I suggest you look at your website and ammend the available dates so that prospective new customers are aware of the delays in getting their machines looked at! Wouldn't recommend and will never trust them again!

We were visited by Gavin today and he was training Richard . They were both very efficient had already arrived with spares in case they were needed. He showed us on the multimeter the problem with the split element. In no time at all it was replaced and was shown to us it was working perfectly now. So very pleased with the service, Gavin was extremely knowledgable and helpful. Both very sociable too. Will definitely use Glotech again. Thanks guys . Roy Frost

They don't do what they say .they took £254 from me and keep cancelling the appointment at last minute saying we don't have any one who can do the job as their engineers are not qualified to do regasing fridge freezer but they don’t tell you when they book you and take money in advance. They caused me so much trouble regarding my fridge freezer regasing after keep cancelling appointments I requested refund and they are not willing to discuss instead send me another appointment this is 3rd attempt which I am not happy to do as been let down many times with excuses. Its such a rubbish company I AM GOING TO COMPLAIN TO TRADING STANDARDS FOR MISLEADING PUBLIC AND RUNNING COMPANY WITHOUT QUALIFIED ENGINEERS. Trading standards will be in action soon. I want my full refund of £254 or I take them to court I have all the call recoding and emails. Mrs S Arshad Nottinghamshire.

It is hard to write a review of Glotech Repairs as they did not actually carry out a repair. I submitted the model and age of my broken washing machine and described the problem, however when the engineer called to say he was on his way he was expecting to be mending a dishwasher. Once he arrived and asked me what the problem was, I was told there would be no point fixing the machine owing to its age and the nature of the problem - I might as well buy a new one. He told me this before he had even seen the machine so presumably the same conclusion could have been reached from the information I submitted on my booking form. I therefore paid £81 (callout price of £67.50 does not include VAT) for someone to be in my house for less than five minutes. I was impressed that they were able to get an engineer out to me so quickly (within 24 hours) but frustrated that he arrived during the only hour of my day that I said I could not be available. Glotech were very helpful in offering to replace my machine with a suitable substitute, however, I found the same model at £30 less two days before they contacted me with the suggested replacement.

Good afternoon, Thank you for your review. I apologise that we were unable to repair your appliance and the engineer attended at an unsuitable time for you. All the information on our system explains that this was a washing machine so the engineer would have been aware of this. The notes he has left advise that he checked the machine and found the drum bearing had gone and the board was possible faulty. I am sorry that this was not advised over the phone or before the appointment. We do not offer a pre-diagnosis service as all of our engineers are out on the road and the majority of the time, faults can be caused by various reasons. With regards to a new replacement appliance. We always try to be competitive on price but unfortunately being a small family business we are not always able to compete with larger companies and the margins they have for discounts and prices.
