The shoes received where worn and the leather creased. It was clear from the shoes and packaging - this were a return or had been in shop and tried on more than once. This is not the standard I would expect. These shoes were a consider purchase and for that I would expect a perfect pair of shoes. Pretty disappointing for a brand I like.

I love Gabor products but…….I bought a pair of Gabor boots this week from what I believed to be the Gabor website( it was advertised as such) However, it transpires from the email contact it is actually Charles Clinkard. I looked at both Gabor and Charles Clinkard reviews so would not have purchased from them if I had known. Unusually I had a few problems ordering and customer service in the telephone and email contact was good. Delivery was quick. I ordered on Monday and received Friday. However , I m so very disappointed. These were not a sale item. i have taken photos that show the box was smashed and the suede boots are in poor condition, shiny, worn & white in many partsI believe they are probably a display item. I am not Not impressed and would not recommend. Looking at other reviews I am not happy to return them. I should have purchased a used pair on eBay for a quarter of the price

Our company holds one of the largest amounts of Gabor stock within the UK. Items are sourced from our warehouse and retail stores however any issues with quality or packaging should be highlighted before they are sent, we are very sorry these arrived in the condition they have. I sent for a pair of shoes costing £95 but unfortunately they weren't suitably so sent for the next size. In the meantime I went to the post office to send the unsuitable pair back and was shocked to find they cost me £8-89. Why do you not do FREE returns like other people? Shocking. I won't be buying from you again because of this !!

I still have not received my delivery. I received a text to say they would be delivered on 31st December and rearranged for them to be delivered to redirected to my local pick-up point. A week later I called DPD for an update and agreed they would be delivered on Saturday 8th January to my home address. I have just checked the website to see they have been sent back to Clinkard GRP. I have been charged for my boots - but still have not received them. I am very disappointed by this process of online shopping.

Returned the boots as I found them £25 cheaper elsewhere! This is not a Gabor site my mistake. Nothing wrong with the boots fitted perfectly.

The delivery by DPD was delayed three times, eventually I had it delivered to a local collection point. When unpacked what a disappointment the Gabor box was ripped not DPD I suspect the shoes were puckered and the box contained an extra insole!! why. The shoes were intended as a present, they have obviously been returned. I don’t think I will ever shop at Clinkard again.

Thank you for your review. You can send items back using any courier or service that you wish. If you use Royal Mail second class it is quite cheap to send items back, you can then add tracking for approximately 80p. You may have used a next day signed for service which can work out expensive. There is also a link to collect + on our website which is £4.49 and covers up to 10 kilo of returns. This means you can return several items together. We also have several Charles Clinkard stores where you can take returns back to and they can organise a refund for you. I hope that this helps for future reference. This style is a UK D+ FITTING which is the widest fit in Gabor As style and fit is personal to each customer, its difficult to know what will fit perfectly however we do appreciate your feedback as this will help other customers in deciding whether to purchase these boots. The boots are nice but I ordered a size 5.5 and I was sent a size 5. The box and invoice states they are size 5.5 but the boots inside are a size 5. Clearly nobody checked the contents of the box before delivery, which I was both surprised and frustrated about, especially considering the quality of the brand.

As a large brand I would have expected you to have free returns, especially as it is so easy to set up with Royal Mail. It’s disgusting you expect the customer to pay for it. My return was due to be delivered to you today (guaranteed 24 hour service) and no contact from yourselves. I won’t be buying from you again.

These beautiful boots would be perfect but they are a very large fitting so had to be sent back. I am usually a size 6, but a 5 or 5.5 would be needed. Please can they be made in a standard width too. Even with 2 pairs socks and insoles they were too wide. Sooooo disappointed.

No way wide fit as couldn't even get my foot. Have previously had boots and trainers that have been great. Had to return so very diappointed this time.

I bought the Gabor H width boots which definitely were not. The minute I opened the box they looked so narrow. I have other Gabor footwear so was very disappointed. The return postage really should be free. I won’t be ordering anymore via post!

With regard to returns, we do deliver free of charge and you can take your return back to any Charles Clinkard store for refund. Alternatively there is a link on our website which is with Collect+ where for £4.49 you can buy a label that covers up to 10 kilo of returning items. I did not get my shoes! That Clinkard place sent DHL to the wrong address and I could see by the picture of delivery that it was a different house! I need my shoes or money back! This has never happened before but I can’t find a way to contact DHL and am very angry!

Any orders placed at the weekend would not be dispatched until the Monday for Tuesday delivery. I can see that your parcel was delivered on Tuesday as per our service would suggest. I am very disappointed. I ordered two pairs of Brooks S Boots, one in "night" shade and one in "caramello shade". When I received my order, there were two boxes in the package, one labelled « Gabor Shoes » and one labelled « Charles Clinkard ». The boots in the Gabor Shoes box (in « Night » shade) were perfect. Packaged with great care (with bubble plastic inserts to preserve the shape) and the product was in impeccable condition. However, the boots in the « Charles Clinkard » box (“Caramello » shade) seemed like they had just been thrown in the box after being worn. They looked VERY used, they evidently had been worn several times, were already wrinkled, not clean and had not been packaged well at all. I understand that it is mentioned on the website that boots may have been « tried on by a customer in a store » or a similar situation, but the condition of these boots went beyond this, and are absolutely not acceptable for a new product at this price. When shopping in stores, discounts are usually offered for demonstration models, and these boots were far more used than a demonstration model. I am extremely disappointed. For a number of reasons, I cannot return the boots (and Gabor makes the customer pay for returns anyway), I am therefore stuck with used "ebay" boots for which I paid full price. I feel taken advantage of as a customer. Furthermore, I was advised by their chatbot to write an email to customer service with photos, which I did, and they never wrote back, didn't even acknowledge my email. The boots are beautiful, but beware that it is a crapshoots, you have no clue what you will receive. If you receive a product in good condition, then great. But like me, you might be stuck with very expensive second hand leather boots. Because of this disappointment, and because they didn't bother contacting me, I will not order another product from Gabor again.
