Lovely shoes but I bought the wrong size, so I was not happy that I couldn't return them to a concession for an exchange. As it was I sent them back for a refund - after travelling 20 miles to the concession. If I had been allowed to exchange the shoes for a smaller size at the concession I would have been a happy customer and kept the shoes. I was so disgruntled that simply settled for the refund and will not shop online with them again. I should say that the customer services assistant who emailed me when I was grumpy, was terrific - a great service from her. This company though needs to seriously look at its policy to not allow concessions to do returns and exchanges for stuff purchased online.

Hello Thank you for your review. I’m sorry to hear that you don’t believe the shoes you have purchased were new. If we have sold out of stock in our warehouse, we do source pairs from our stores as each has a small holding warehouse to replenish their own stock. Sometimes, these may have been tried on, but this should always be checked before being dispatched. I am sorry that on this occasion we have let you down. If you had contacted us, we could have assisted you with replacements or the return but can see a pair from your order has now been returned to store. I ordered my usual size for Gabor ballet flats (size 5.5) but they are much bigger than all the other pairs I have bought since 2018. Seems to be a change of sizing with the change in place of manufacture (now Slovakia and not Portugal). I live in Australia so it is too difficult to organise a return and I'm worried a size 5 might be too snug and then I will want the size 5.5 back.

Thank you for your review. I have taken a look at your order and compared to what you usually buy. The fit that you usually go for is a standard width, but on your latest pair, you have chosen a wide fit. This may be why you are finding that the shoe is much more roomy and a little big for you. You can pop an insole inside which will reduce the area in the shoe and make it more snug, it gives the benefit of keeping the shoes fresher for longer too as you can change the insoles rom time to time. I do hope that this information is of help. On a more personal level, I find that if I get a wide fit, I am able to go down half a size to get a more snug fitting. Very disappointed. Find it very difficult to find small shoe sizes. Love Gabor. Ordered 2.5 size was sent 3.5. Then informed that you didn’t have 2.5 size Return and refund efficient.

I mistakenly ordered the US size instead of the UK size. I wanted to exchange them, but was told I had to pay to return them and pay to have a new pair sent out. I realize it was my fault, but not great customer service since this was my first order. I sent them back, hoping you will receive them and I will recoup at least some of the cost.

We do ask customers to cover the costs of returns and unfortunately do not offer an international exchange service. I understand the inconvenience this order must have caused you. I am reluctant to chance another pair of Gabor trainers after bad experience (with two pairs) I loved the fit and comfort but shortly after buying, the sole at the heel started to wear very badly. The material seems to have been very cheap. Returned them but was only offered a Credit note. Very disappointing, was always fond of Gabor brand but not anymore. They are expensive, I expect quality for their price

After already paying £8 for delivery I was then charged £11 to return the item by the post office. Absolutely crazy, would never order from Gabor again.

Thank you for your review. Delivery to our customers is free, I have checked your order and there was no delivery charge. With regard to returns, we do ask customers to cover the cost of sending orders back, however you can as stated on our website take back to any Charles Clinkard store where they will arrange a refund for you, or use the link on our website, where for £4.49 you can return up to 10 kilos with CollectPlus on a tracked service. Wtih regard to the post office, the £11 will be for a next day service, which you do not need to use. You can send back using second class which will take up to 48 hours to arrive, and then add for aproxximately 80p more some tracking. This may help for future reference. Haven’t received the shoes. DPD didn’t deliver on the day specified. Got a message two days later yesterday to say the shoes will be delivered today, but now the DPD app is showing the shoes are being returned. Obviously the issue is with the courier, not the shoes.

Loved the shoes but too large. One star because returning them is the customers responsibility to pay the return costs!! I think this is appalling and have never been responsible for returns before. There is no indication as to this policy when purchasing. Shoes cost were £79.99, the added costs are shocking. Will not buy from this company again.

There is a lonk on the webite where for £4.49 you can buy a label that covers up to 10 kilos of returns or you can send with any courier of choice. The boots I ordered almost 2 weeks have failed to arrive. I paid extra for fast delivery as I needed them for an event on 2nd November. It is now the 8th and there's still no sign of them. Very poor service. And I can't find a phone number to speak to anyone about this.

The boots I ordered arrived in a damaged unmarked box, that looked like it had been in the rubbish bin for some time. The boots itself was far too big and very wide at the top. I would have probably swapped them for 1/2 size smaller- However, given you are the only company I have had to pay for return postage (and insistence to send via tracked delivery) , has cost me more than £10!!!! Something unheard of with any other retailers! Therefore I will never buy from you again - and avoid in future Not a great way to build customer experience, nor loyalty

Thank you for your review. We pay for delivery to customer and also pay for delivery again if an exchange is needed. We do recommend if you return an item, that a tracked service is used as this will let you see when the order is returned to us, but you do not have to do this. Tracking is usually about 80p more than the cost of postage, which you can keep low by using second class mail and not a next day service. You can also take back to a Charles Clinkard store (you have a full year to do this ao long as the item is unworn) or use the link to collect + on our website which is £4.49 and covers up to 10 kilos. Very dissapointing service. Do not offer international delivery if you do not choose reputable couriers and have the systems in place to successfully deliver on this service. Delayed, missing, cancelled, refunded was my experience with Gabor. Three weeks of hassle.

I can see on this occasion, we used Royal Mail, but your order has gone missing in transit and has been refunded in full, however your order may still turn up with you. We are sorry that you have been let down, this is not normal, but on occasion we can encounter a problem and we will act on behalf of the customer to resolve this as quickly as possible. Shocking customer service. I bought a pair of sandals from House of Bruar. The strap on one broke after wearing four times. Other customers complained on line of the same problem. I returned the faulty sandal for inspection. I was told that they would require both sandals as their strategy would have been to mend them. I wanted perfect shoes, not mended ones, after wearing so few times I Gabor told me they would not accept a photo of the broken sandal and wanted the shoe sent to HoB. Of course HoB had disposed of it. Rude and abrupt customer service and I'm £85 short. Disgraceful and won't be buying Gabor showes afgainthen contacted Gabor and dispos
