Other reviews for the Gabor Piquet indicate that the fitting does come up slightly narrow, rather than being true to size, which may be why you had a similar issue. “I ordered the Gala women’s suede shoes in natural colour. They looked nice, but I couldn’t manage the buckle. When I did get buckle closed it sat too far up ankle. This aspect not comfortable. Even though at sale price I had to return them.”

“The shoes were lovely, unfortunately they were faulty. There was a lump in the sole of the left shoe which wasn't apparent until you walked in them. Very uncomfortable so sadly I had to return them.”

“Very nice trainers, although are Wide fit - I found them to be narrow at the front. A bigger size is ok but slips off at the back.”

“I am sure these are great quality shoes and on the right person would look great, but they felt and looked like orthopedic sandals on me. Shame because I usually love Gabor shoes.”

“I am going to return the trainers. I purchased as wide fitting trainers. Despite being advertised as such, the recommendation on the shoe box is to remove the insoles to obtain the desired wide fitting. Hugely disappointed. The shoes are NOT made as wide fitting! In my opinion it is misleading The off white colour is very nice though!”

Thank you for your feedback, I'm really sorry to hear that the trainers did not meet your expectations regarding the width fitting. This shoe is known as a dual fit and can be made to be wide or extra wide depending if you leave the insole in or remove it. It also describes how you can take the insole out and add your own if you need an orthotic insole. We understand how important accurate product descriptions are, and your feedback is valuable to us as we strive to improve. If you would like to keep the insole in, you may find that a shoe half a size larger gives the extra area that you need within the shoe. The extra length is minimal, but the extra space makes the shoe feel much roomier especially around the of the foot and toe area. “I have always loved Gabor but I ordered two pairs exactly the same as previous that I still have but they were just too small. The sizing has changed Finding getting the range in stores is hard so forced to order on line but prefer to try them first”

“The ordering and delivery process was very good. I received the suede shoes but found they were scuffed on the sides and toe as if they’d been tried on a lot but as I wanted them to take away on holiday in a couple of days and didn’t have the time or the money to send them back I kept them. I was disappointed but loved the shoes.”

“Shoes are great quality and have just bought a lovely pair of shoes for my son's wedding. Delivery is free and there is a subsided cost for returning via Royal Mail which is good. My issue is that my parcel was delivered to my old address. I assumed that I hadn't updated my address until I logged in to change it and my current address was showing as my default address. Fortunately after a bit of hassle I did get my parcel.”

“I am so sorry but the G wide fitting i bought last week is not as comfortable and roomy like a pink one i bought some time ago. The quality is not the same in my opinion”

“The shoes are very nice and as per pictures on website. Sadly they have given me terrible blisters on first wear. Inside of heel is overstitched, making it quite rough and it has rubbed.”

“Unfortunately the sandals i ordered were far to wide. ( I don't have particularly narrow feet) Even on the tightest adjustment they were too looses. The bead work was lovely as was the sole of the shoe. The quality of the upper band wasn't the best for the price. Shame I was really looking forwards to wearing them. Size 9”
