The boots are nice but I ordered a size 5.5 and I was sent a size 5. The box and invoice states they are size 5.5 but the boots inside are a size 5. Clearly nobody checked the contents of the box before delivery, which I was both surprised and frustrated about, especially considering the quality of the brand.

As a large brand I would have expected you to have free returns, especially as it is so easy to set up with Royal Mail. It’s disgusting you expect the customer to pay for it. My return was due to be delivered to you today (guaranteed 24 hour service) and no contact from yourselves. I won’t be buying from you again.

These beautiful boots would be perfect but they are a very large fitting so had to be sent back. I am usually a size 6, but a 5 or 5.5 would be needed. Please can they be made in a standard width too. Even with 2 pairs socks and insoles they were too wide. Sooooo disappointed.

No way wide fit as couldn't even get my foot. Have previously had boots and trainers that have been great. Had to return so very diappointed this time.

I bought the Gabor H width boots which definitely were not. The minute I opened the box they looked so narrow. I have other Gabor footwear so was very disappointed. The return postage really should be free. I won’t be ordering anymore via post!

With regard to returns, we do deliver free of charge and you can take your return back to any Charles Clinkard store for refund. Alternatively there is a link on our website which is with Collect+ where for £4.49 you can buy a label that covers up to 10 kilo of returning items. If an exchange is wanted, we would again cover the cost of the postage to you. I hope that this helps for future reference and that you find a boot that is a better fit for you. I did not get my shoes! That Clinkard place sent DHL to the wrong address and I could see by the picture of delivery that it was a different house! I need my shoes or money back! This has never happened before but I can’t find a way to contact DHL and am very angry!

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. I can see your order was placed on a Sunday morning. Our next day service is a guaranteed next working day service for orders placed before 5pm. Any orders placed at the weekend would not be dispatched until the Monday for Tuesday delivery. I can see that your parcel was delivered on Tuesday as per our service would suggest. I am very disappointed. I ordered two pairs of Brooks S Boots, one in "night" shade and one in "caramello shade". When I received my order, there were two boxes in the package, one labelled « Gabor Shoes » and one labelled « Charles Clinkard ». The boots in the Gabor Shoes box (in « Night » shade) were perfect. Packaged with great care (with bubble plastic inserts to preserve the shape) and the product was in impeccable condition. However, the boots in the « Charles Clinkard » box (“Caramello » shade) seemed like they had just been thrown in the box after being worn. They looked VERY used, they evidently had been worn several times, were already wrinkled, not clean and had not been packaged well at all. I understand that it is mentioned on the website that boots may have been « tried on by a customer in a store » or a similar situation, but the condition of these boots went beyond this, and are absolutely not acceptable for a new product at this price. When shopping in stores, discounts are usually offered for demonstration models, and these boots were far more used than a demonstration model. I am extremely disappointed. For a number of reasons, I cannot return the boots (and Gabor makes the customer pay for returns anyway), I am therefore stuck with used "ebay" boots for which I paid full price. I feel taken advantage of as a customer. Furthermore, I was advised by their chatbot to write an email to customer service with photos, which I did, and they never wrote back, didn't even acknowledge my email. The boots are beautiful, but beware that it is a crapshoots, you have no clue what you will receive. If you receive a product in good condition, then great. But like me, you might be stuck with very expensive second hand leather boots. Because of this disappointment, and because they didn't bother contacting me, I will not order another product from Gabor again.

I bought some Gabor sneakers, 66.515.66 less than two months ago from a local store, and the sole of the right shoe is peeling off. I am so disappointed. I will be returning them, and won't be buying Gabor again. It's such a shame, because they were so comfy and looked lovely.

Thank you for your review. You do not say which store that you bought these from, but if you take them back, they should be able to deal with your enquiry. If it was a Charles Clinkard store you can contact customer services on 0345 241 7742. This is not a usual occurance with Gabor shoes and we are sincerely sorry to hear that this has happened. Shoes were received promptly however they looked like they had been worn and were in scruffy condition. This is not what I would expect from Gabor.

Trying desperately to find black high heeled shoes for a smart occasion. Had heard that Gabor shoes suit the wider foot. Sadly not. Had to return. Surprised to find that with a company such as Gabor (considering the shoes cost £75.00) that returns have to be paid for by the customer. Unusual these days - most online retailers have a Royal Mail prepaid returns link. Not very impressed with the shoes or the after-sales service to be honest.

I love Gabor shoes but this time it’s a fail as I’d ordered a 7, my usual size but they are very pinched. Normally they fit like a glove. These will be going back.

The order took over 2 weeks to arrive and unfortunately the trainers proved unsuitable and so had to be returned. The return had to be paid for as there was no return label included and 3 weeks later , I'm still waiting for the refund......, so I won't be shopping online with the company again.

Thank you for your review. Looking at when the order was placed (Saturday 23rd January) it was disptached on the second working day (Tuesday 26th January and Royal mail delivered it to you on the Thursday morning (28th January). With regard to the return, this arrived with us on the 5th Feb and was fully refunded on the 9th after the weekend. You should see this on your statement as it was refunded back onto the card that you used to pay. We are sorry that these times seemed longer to you, but can assure you that if you look, the disptach were very good at this time, working with a reduced staff due to social distancing, it is taking some orders up to 6 working days to send out as stated on our website. Sorry but had to make a complaint! purchased shoes at full price of £85 then when they arrived they had a sale sticker on at £62 plus a further 10% discount to be added. I had to write a formal complaint to get the reduction. No compensation offered so only got what I should have had and if not spotted they would not have told me - Does not encourage me to shop again. Low score as no acceptance of guilt of trying to rip me off. would be higher if acknowledged with offer (future reduction) or compensation. Shame as good quality. just bad costomer service.
