Odd sizes. Sized down as advised and still too big. Measured their 5.5 against a size 6 and the smaller size 5.5’s were bigger. Customer service very unhelpful and refused to refund postage return despite their sizing being shocking and all off. The sizing issue is bad enough but the v v poor Customer service would make sure I’d never order from this retailer again. Score reflects poor sizing and awful customer service.

Update Unfortunately this beautiful shoes are very low quality A lot of scratches I wasn’t able to break them down They are stiff in ankle (my ankle hurts after an hour of wearing them) Customer service said that’s a normal sign of wearing For me- shoes to bucket Of course I have a problem with uploading the photos

I have several pairs of Gabor shoes, I am always a size 6.5, so I had no hesitation in ordering the boots in a 6.5. They were really tight and had to return and pay for the return. It’s such a shame that consistency in sizing is not a priority. I’ve ordered an exchange for a larger size and am hoping they fit or else I’ll have to return them at my own cost too. They look like lovely boots though.

I ordered a wide feet but didn’t receive this. Rather than risk and spend to send them back I am going to travel to Oxford at the weekend. This is some distance from where I live. I have bought Gabor shoes in the past and been happy with them. But online ordering needs improving.

You are welcome to return to any Charles Clinkard branch with your proof of purchase if this is convenient. When posting, we do ask customers to cover returns postage, but offer a Royal Mail label for £3.20 on our website. This gives a reasonable price and is tracked service so you know when it has been received by our warehouse. The boots arrived in a broken box. When I tried them on the soles were uneven inside the right hand boot and very uncomfortable. Obviously the boots had been returned by someone who had found the same problem with them. Following that I had to pay £3.20 to return them !!!!! I consider this to be extremely poor service landfill never deal with you again. C. Bartlett.

Very confusing about the purchase process. I was told to pay by PAYPAL and entered a valid address, only to find the purchase still hanging on your shelf because the address was invalid (perhaps in Hong Kong, we don't have a postal code, but I can't create one!). Then, for unknown reasons and without explanation, refunded the goods price to my PAYPAL account, but kept the handling and delivery charges (I don't understand, and I was never told when I made the order and paid successfully). I am out of Hong Kong and back to check my email, and I understand that there were several emails asking me to identify the so-called problem with the address. I reflected via email and am waiting for a clear reply on what to do and how to do it. Very sad!

I can see the shoes you ordered were a Standard width fitting. Some customers do report that Standard fit Gabor shoes do feel narrow and as a result they opt for a Wide fit option instead. Goods came damaged. Leather scraped off the toe of the left boot. Surely this would’ve been noticed in quality control. Disappointed with the response from the supplier when I said I needed them for the weekend. They offered a free return as if they were offering me shares in their company. Shame on you for your appalling customer service and obvious lack of checking products before they are sent to customers.

The shoes were ordered on line and when they arrived the box looked like it had been kicked around the warehouse. The shoes had been worn and had a bad defect across the middle of the sole. Ordered 5.5 but shoes were smaller than previous 5.5 purchased. Clinckard took them back without questions which makes me think they knew. Purchased the same style at John Lewis which are perfect as usual for Gabor shoes.
