Made a purchase on a Saturday and paid for express delivery, it didn’t state a time frame for this but mentioned 2-5 days for standard delivery so I presumed it would be next working day like most other businesses that offer express. When it still hadn’t been dispatched 2 working days later I called customer service and emailed as I wasn’t happy with there response of sorry it wasn’t clear but express is 2-4 days. Completely pointless offering this when the only benefit is you get extra money for postage, I may as well have just had standard delivery is would have arrived in the same time!

Thank you for your review. I'm sorry to learn your order didn't arrive when expected. As discussed, we have a couple of expedited shipping services you can opt for at the checkout. Express delivery guarantees dispatch within 2-3 working days. Additionally, we have Next Day Delivery, so if you place your order before 5pm, it will be with you the following working day. I can see we dispatched your Express order within 2 days, but I am sorry for the confusion caused on this occasion. I hope the above information helps for future. I paid the full amount for next day delivery yet my sandals arrived 6 days later. They replied to me once however my second email has been read but no one replied. The option for next day guaranteed delivery ought to be disabled for Bank Holiday weekends as it is on other websites. I’m sure their software is sophisticated enough for at least that in order to be a little more customer friendly.

Thank you for your review. You can take your return back to any Charles Clinkard store, or return via any courier or postal service that you wish. Second Class Royal Mail seems to be the cheapest. We do have a link to Collect Plus on our website where for the reduced cost of £4.49 you can create a label that will cover up to 10 kilo so you can return several items together. I ordered some slippers for my mums birthday and checked the stock at my branch it said 1 available so I ordered for click and collect but they did not confirm for a day or so by time they did it was 1 day before her birthday and it said they’ll be in next week which was 4 days after her birthday. Friendly staff in store but terrible online service that left me without a present for my mum

Thank you for leaving your feedback. I am sorry to hear you did not receive your order in time for your mum’s birthday. At the checkout, you have selected the collect in store option. This means your order is dispatched within 2-5 working days and once your order is ready to collect, you will be contacted by the store. Unfortunately, at the moment, there is no option to reserve and collect online, which I believe is what you were hoping to arrange. Sadly the staff in the shop I visited were completely disinterested, didn't seem to know their stock and were not at all helpful. I won't be going there again

I can see that you took 3 pair of shoes back for refund and that this has been actioned, but if you were needing advice, we are sorry if thye did not provide this for you. We do have other stores close to you and hope that you may visit them if you would like help. I love Charles Clinkard and their range of shoes and buy regularly (probably too regularly!). Their instore service is excellent and up until recently couldn't fault the online shopping experience. However, inexplicably, they have withdrawn the collect-from-store facility. I was very disappointed that it just did not appear in the dropdown selection and I could only opt for home delivery. The help information mentioned click and collect, but there was simply no option. This is a huge disappointment as I find it a lot more convenient than home delivery.

Thank you for your feedback. A technical issue meant the option to collect in our Bristol store was temporarily unavailable. Thank you for your review. You can buy a return label for £4.49 on our website which will cover up to 10 kilo of returns so you can send several items back in one go. Alternatively second class Royal mail with tracking is a low cost return process. You can take back to a Charles Clinkard store also. I do hope that this h for future reference. The boots I ordered had clealy been worn as they had dried in mud on the soles. However, when I contacted Clinkards Customer Services they couldn't have been more helpful. Thye snet me a pre-paid label so I could return the bootsd and a refund was issed very quickly. So 2/5 for the item BUT 5/5 for customer service.

Ordered a pair of pink trainers which came quickly but on unpacking the box. Found 2 trainers both pink but different styles and different sizes! On phoning Charles Clinkard the lady said that shouldn't happen! And would send out another pair when I returned them, advised her I had purchased thenm to wear that weekend. She reluctantly agreed to send a correct pair out straight away and would enclose a prepaid postage label for the odd trainers. These came quickly too but beware as this is the second time they have sent odd shoes to me.

I think that paying postage to receive an item and then paying further postage to return an item will definitely put me off buying from you again.

Thank you for your review. Any order over £40 will not be charged postage, we did not charge you for the delivery. We do ask if customers can cover the cost of returns, or take back to a Charles Clinkard store. You do have 2 not too far from you and you have up to a year to return them so long as unworn. I love the design and style of many of your shoes, so I ordered 5 pairs to see how will they fit my 3 yo daughter. Unfortunately only one or two pairs were suitable. When I prepared the parcel for return I’ve realised that I have to cover the cost myself, and of course pay for recorded delivery, which unfortunately it makes my last order with the company, as it’s not cost effective. I found two Charles Clinkards shops within 20 mins drive, yet you can’t return them if you purchased online.

Thank you for your review. You can take returns back to any main Charles Clinkard store where you can return for free, or you can choose any postal service that you wish. Royal Mail second class with tracking is the cheapest method, but if you choose signed for next day for example, that would be expensive. There is no need to choose this method, as second class only take 24 hours longer to arrive and we process all returns within 3 working days. There is also a link on our website where for £4.49 you can return up to 10 kilo. This link is to Collect + who have outlets where you can drop off your package. I hope that this information is of help should you change your mind and do order again in the future. You also have up to 365 days to return an item so long as unworn. Shoes arrived in a battered box which must have happened before dispatch as a "botched repair job" had been completed using cellotape. Small refund was agreed but totally underwhelmed when I opened the package. Would have expected more from such a reputable supplier

I ordered a pair of Fly London boots in the sale. They arrived without any brand packaging or the brand box. This was not mentioned on the website and so was not the reason for the sale price. As they were a birthday present this was very disappointing. I rang customer services and spoke to Cari on Friday 23rd Feb and she said that she would find out if you could find the Fly London packaging to send to me and that she would ring me within a couple of days. This has not happened. I am happy with my Fly London boots and with the sale price, but I am not happy with your customer service, nor the failure to state on-line that the boots were without any brand packaging or labels. This makes me question whether they were display boots or returns and I feel therefore that a further discount would have been appropriate. I would have reconsidered my purchase if I had known, but it was too late to return by the time they arrived, as you had sold out.

I bought two pairs of gabor shoes and I always buy size 5. Both these pairs are too small and there is no returns label and i have to pay the postage to get the shoes and then to return them. Wont be buying on line ever again. And there is no Clinkard shop near me.

Having worked for many years in a shoe shop, I know the importance of checking a pair of shoes before a sale, sadly this was not my experience with Charles Clinkard as the shoes I ordered were in the wrong box ! This meant they were the wrong size and had to be retuned. I then made my purchase elsewhere.

I ordered a pair of school shoes and a pair of wellies for which payment was taken. I was then called to be told that the school shoes are actually unavailable. I have not yet received a refund for the unavailable shoes and am somewhat disappointed with the overall experience.

I ordered two pairs of the ‘Helen Womens Sports Trainers’ in the colour Visone Nubuck, one for myself in size 6 and one for my sister in size 5.5. Unfortunately, what I received was the correct pair for myself along with, what I think must be, a pair of ‘Aloe Womens Trainers’ in the colour Antique Rose in size 5.5, i.e. I was sent a different style AND colour from the one I ordered. There is even a mismatch in the label for the latter pair of trainers as this is for a Helen Visone Nub/Mesh. While the style and colour are possibly just about similar enough to explain the mix up, it means that I now have the inconvenience of spending time dealing with the return for the shoes intended for my sister, taking it to the post office (as it’s over £50 in value) and having to argue about getting a refund for the correct amount of money including the money spent for returning an incorrect item. I will leave feedback with Trustpilot once I have completed the return. I gave 2 out of 5 Stars, as I do like the ‘correct’ trainers I ordered for myself and they are well-made and comfortable.

I bought some school shoes in a size 7 and 8 thinking I was buying adult sizes as they stated size 7 and 8 when they came they where toddler sizes if the sizing had said 7k and 8k I wouldn't have bought them but customer service was great so refunded for items maybe need to change size labelling
