Good products, but I was disappointed to find that I had to organise and pay for return postage for the item I decided to return.

Transaction and delivery was prompt and hassle free, but unfortunately the shoes I ordered for my daughter arrived faulty. I’m currently in the process of returning them as a result.

Not the fault of Charles Clinkard but ordered 2 pairs of shoes of the same type bought previously but neither fit. Had 5 pairs of this particular shoe in the past but decided on the same shoe in a different colour...one was too big, the other too small and far too tight......they are supposed to be wide fit. Having to pay to return these shoes is very annoying. A warning should be put on the website that these shoes do not correspond with the same shoe in a different colour way.

Bought a pair of shoes for my girlfriend's birthday, arrived on time but marked, ordered another pair was told they would be checked but was marked , in the end got my money back , never ordering again !

The process of buying from Charles Clinkard was good but I am not happy with your return system. I bought two pairs of shoes online. They were easy to order and arrived within a reasonable time. However, one pair didn’t fit and had to be returned. I did this via the Post Office with tracked delivery (as suggested by yourselves) which cost £10. That made the pair of shoes I bought very expensive and I could have got them cheaper elsewhere so I will not be buying from Charles Clinkard again. Other shops I buy from online, either offer free returns or charge a standard amount e.g. £3 which is deducted from the refund. Perhaps you could offer something similar?

Thank you for your feedback. With the Post Office, we recommend a 2nd class tracked service. They may advise higher prices dependant on the weight and value of your order. On the returns page of our website, we have the option to purchase a Yodel label online for £4.49 to take to a drop off point. As we ask customers to cover the cost of returns postage, you are able to find a service suitable for you. If you need advice, please feel free to contact our Customer Service Team. I have spent over a £1,000 since I started shopping with Charles Clinkard and for the first time ever I had to return a pair of trainers which didn't fit. For the priviledge of doing this it cost me £9.95 which is an obscene amount of money for a return. I will in future use another vendor.

Sadly instead of an adult 5 pair of crocs we got a teeny baby pair. A v disappointed grandson as his brother’s arrived ok. Still awaiting a replacement adult 5 and hoping they arrive soon as it’s half term.

So disappointed! I thought CC would be my go-to for footwear, but my latest odyssey has been a fiasco (although there is a moderately happy ending). 1. The descriptions were wrong for some Paul Green sandals, and for Hush Puppies boots. 2. The returns link went to a page 404 error 3. None of the shoes/boots fitted even though I'd hedged my bets, ordering a range from 38 to 6.5. 4. Two x size 6 Hush Puppies: one pair too small, the other pair too big. How can that happen?! 5. Returns are not free. This is a problem when the size guide is (a) not shown in cm, or (b) if shown, unclear whether the cm's refer to my foot or the shoe. 6. The happy ending: CC have agreed to cover postage - but only, it seems, because of the faulty descriptions; not because of the sizing fiasco. Conclusion: Back to bricks and mortar I go. Unless there's software that enables the customer to upload a tracing of their feet and can predict a good fit...?

Different methods of measuring shoes, variations in manufacturing processes, and differing allowances even within the same sizing system could lead to inconsistencies. As suggested, normally we're unable to cover the cost of returning items. However, on this occasion, we were happy to do so due to the item descriptions not being accurate. I can see my colleague who you spoke with in customer services addressed the issues with our tech team and are now resolved. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Made a purchase on a Saturday and paid for express delivery, it didn’t state a time frame for this but mentioned 2-5 days for standard delivery so I presumed it would be next working day like most other businesses that offer express. When it still hadn’t been dispatched 2 working days later I called customer service and emailed as I wasn’t happy with there response of sorry it wasn’t clear but express is 2-4 days. Completely pointless offering this when the only benefit is you get extra money for postage, I may as well have just had standard delivery is would have arrived in the same time!

Thank you for your review. I'm sorry to learn your order didn't arrive when expected. As discussed, we have a couple of expedited shipping services you can opt for at the checkout. Express delivery guarantees dispatch within 2-3 working days. Additionally, we have Next Day Delivery, so if you place your order before 5pm, it will be with you the following working day. I can see we dispatched your Express order within 2 days, but I am sorry for the confusion caused on this occasion. I hope the above information helps for future. I paid the full amount for next day delivery yet my sandals arrived 6 days later. They replied to me once however my second email has been read but no one replied. The option for next day guaranteed delivery ought to be disabled for Bank Holiday weekends as it is on other websites. I’m sure their software is sophisticated enough for at least that in order to be a little more customer friendly.

Thank you for your review. You can take your return back to any Charles Clinkard store, or return via any courier or postal service that you wish. Second Class Royal Mail seems to be the cheapest. We do have a link to Collect Plus on our website where for the reduced cost of £4.49 you can create a label that will cover up to 10 kilo so you can return several items together. I ordered some slippers for my mums birthday and checked the stock at my branch it said 1 available so I ordered for click and collect but they did not confirm for a day or so by time they did it was 1 day before her birthday and it said they’ll be in next week which was 4 days after her birthday. Friendly staff in store but terrible online service that left me without a present for my mum

This means your order is dispatched within 2-5 working days and once your order is ready to collect, you will be contacted by the store. Unfortunately, at the moment, there is no option to reserve and collect online, which I believe is what you were hoping to arrange. Sadly the staff in the shop I visited were completely disinterested, didn't seem to know their stock and were not at all helpful. I won't be going there again

I love Charles Clinkard and their range of shoes and buy regularly (probably too regularly!). Their instore service is excellent and up until recently couldn't fault the online shopping experience. However, inexplicably, they have withdrawn the collect-from-store facility. I was very disappointed that it just did not appear in the dropdown selection and I could only opt for home delivery. The help information mentioned click and collect, but there was simply no option. This is a huge disappointment as I find it a lot more convenient than home delivery.

Thank you for your review. You can buy a return label for £4.49 on our website which will cover up to 10 kilo of returns so you can send several items back in one go. Alternatively second class Royal mail with tracking is a low cost return process. You can take back to a Charles Clinkard store also. I do hope that this h for future reference. The boots I ordered had clealy been worn as they had dried in mud on the soles. However, when I contacted Clinkards Customer Services they couldn't have been more helpful. Thye snet me a pre-paid label so I could return the bootsd and a refund was issed very quickly. So 2/5 for the item BUT 5/5 for customer service.

Ordered a pair of pink trainers which came quickly but on unpacking the box. Found 2 trainers both pink but different styles and different sizes! On phoning Charles Clinkard the lady said that shouldn't happen! And would send out another pair when I returned them, advised her I had purchased thenm to wear that weekend. She reluctantly agreed to send a correct pair out straight away and would enclose a prepaid postage label for the odd trainers. These came quickly too but beware as this is the second time they have sent odd shoes to me.
