I love Gabor and have several ankle boots so thought I’d love these. They are fabric and bag around the leg - do disappointed as I love my other gabors .

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that you did not like the softer version of the Gabor boots. They have proved to be popular but will not be to everyones taste. This is a man made material for those who do not wish to wear leather with textile insoles. You may prefer the leather or leather look boots that we have in the range. I was quite disappointed that my parcel arrives with the shoe box crumpled and the shoes looks and feels like a display pair to me. I would have return it if not because of the international shipping fees.

I didn't receive a text or an email to say my order had arrived in my local shop. I had to telephone to check if it had been delivered. The lady said oh we text or email, she went to check and it was sat awaiting my collection. I said I had no text or email and was abruptly told we have emailed. We'll you didn't email me. My Rieker shoes are fine.

I was really unhappy about the way I was treated at the WILMSLOW store recently when I asked for a price match. First of all they said they didn't do a price match then I was told they only do price match with John Lewis. The lady asked me for the print out I had and I was then told "that's a hell of a difference" . It was £20!!! I made a phone call to customer services who were extremely helpful and even followed up my complaint with a further call and a gift credit of £10 which I put towards the trainers I initially wanted.

Slippers arrived faulty. They had obviously not been checked before sending out. They also appeared to have been already tried on by someone else, so should never have been put back in stock. Sent back for refund. Waste of my time , so not happy.

Should be free postage and prices higher than other sites

Thank you for your review. All orders over £40 do have free postage. Under £40 there is a £2.99 charge which will be refunded if you return the item within 2 weeks or purchasing. You can also opt for express delivery for £3.99 or on some items next day at £5.99 but this would not be refunded if the item was returned. If an exchange is required, then we again cover the postage to the customer, even if the item was under the £40 . Other sites may differ in price from time to time. When we have reductions we will also be lower than others at certain times, or if a range is coming to an end, we may reduce the price. However our prices are checked regularly and we feel we offer a good price for good quality produce and we are sorry if you found that this was not comparible to others. Really disappointed in the Van Dal sandals I ordered which are supposed to be wide fit but are more like a regular fit so I have to return them. I also have to pay the return postage for these which is very annoying.

It is within our terms and conditions that we ask customers to cover the cost of returns postage. This way you are free to find a convenient service. If you shop with us in future, we have a returns portal on our website where a Royal Mail label can be purchased for £3.20, to offer our customers a reasonable price. First time using this company. 2 out of 3 items were incorrectly delivered back to the warehouse in Middlesbrough. It would not have been addressed if I hadn't made contact with the company. Very disappointed with the error.

Unfortunately on this occasion, DPD did return your order to sender and we apologise sincerely that this happened. Unfortunately ordering from you is expensive as when a item doesn’t fit the cost of delivery and return of said goods puts me off from reordering from you.

Thank you for your review. If you return an item and you have had to pay for standard delivery, then the postage will be refunded if you return within 2 weeks of you receiving the order. I have ensured today that the delivery postage has been refunded for you. With regard to returns, there is a link on our website where for £3.20 you can buy a tracked Royal Mail label to return orders to us, or you can return free to any Charles Clinakrd store. Your online ordering is bureaucratic, complicated and unnecessary. Why does a customer need to “register” and why do you need to “date of birth “ when buying a pair of slippers? This is ridiculous! Your product is fine.

No problem with Charles Clinkard itself, however you need to change your delivery company. Ordered 2 pair of Gabors which should fit as they are my ‘goto’ brand. However as I still haven’t received them I can’t comment. Despatched very quickly, however DPD delivery to my local click & collect is appalling, first it was Sunday, then Monday, now Tuesday so may be Wednesday then, if I’m lucky.

Sandals were very wide and a huge gap !!!! Had to return I did check they were not a wide fit. I had a £7 reward voucher which I used sadly lost this !!! Out of pocket as I had to pay for the return!!!! Not happy!!

Thank you for leaving your feedback. I am sorry to hear the sandals you purchased did not fit you. They are a standard fit. The Reward Voucher £7.00 which you had used to purchase the sandals has been returned to you. This has been placed in what we call an E-Wallet. This is available to use online or in store for a future purchase with us. We do ask our customers to pay for their returns which is our policy. We have now introduced a returns label for £3.20 which is on our site to use. It provides a Royal Mail QR Code, or you can print the label, and then take the parcel to your local post office. Charles Clinkard service was good, but the Remonte Oban Womens Trainers in a 'wide' fitting (G) were too narrow. The colour (Baltic) and look was lovely but it was not a wide fit compared to a well-known high street shoe shop and others where an E is wide. These were listed as G fitting, but were a pretty standard fit for me so too tight and no good.

Love the weight of the boots and they are very comfortable. However this is the second pair of Rieker boots i have had and neither pair have lasted. I don't even wear them on a daily basis only occasionally.

Charles Clinkard in York ordered the sandals for me as they had none in my size. I was on holiday in York and not due to go back home in Essex for another four days, but was assured by the person who served me, and who placed the order, that the order wouldn't be delivered until the following week. Two days later I received an email informing me the order was on it's way but I was given the option of changing the day of delivery. This I did, and gave a date when I knew I would be home. I had an email confirming the change and stating the new delivery date. I was very pleased with this service until I arrived home only to find a note put through my door saying they had tried to deliver and as I wasn't there had left it with a neighbour. I had an email saying the parcel had been delivered to me (stating my name) which it hadn't, and showed a photo taken of the parcel outside someone else's front door, not mine. Luckily all was well and my neighbour had the parcel, but what is the point of being given the chance of changing a delivery date and it being ignored?

Thank you for your review. I am sorry that this has happened, our free standard delivery is 2 to 5 working days to dispatch, if the store had let us know, we would have delayed the dispatch. With regard to the courier, we use an extrenal service such as DPD or Royal Mail. We were unaware of you changing the date with them and are sorry to hear of your experience. Lovely white leather sandals , unfortunately back strap continually slips down so I can’t walk in them.

Thank you for your review. If you would like to review the item itself, if you click onto the shoe bought you can leave a review where you can let others see when they are browsing. You can buy anti slip heel strap inserts that stop the strap falling, you can find these in most good shoe shops and you may find that this solves your problem. Kind regards. I ordered a pair of JANA floral trainers for my wife's birthday. All was going well, received an email to let me know that they had been "dispatched" from the warehouse and were with the delivery courier. I awaited the email from the delivery company with a tracking number but instead I received another email from yourselves to let me know that, after the trainers had been "dispatched" from your warehouse, you discovered a slight colour difference in one of the trainers and you felt that you couldn't send me a defective product and you cancelled the order. But the trainers were already on the way to me and with the delivery courier. How can this be true? My theory is that you never had the trainers in stock in the size I ordered and you made up the story of a discoloration to one of the trainers. A bit of honesty goes a long way with customers and sending out an email telling someone the item has been dispatched and then a day or so after that sending another email saying you've just checked the item, kind of sets alarm bells ringing. Sorry for the long review but I just wanted to be honest with you.

To explain further, our system notifies you of dispatch when your order has been processed & the address label is printed. As your order was due to be gift wrapped, this would have been the next step, and this is when the defect was discovered. I am sorry for any confusion or disappointment caused.
