I purchased a size 4 slipper from you. Same as The ones that I have had before. When they arrived I could see straight away they were too big definitely not a 4. They actually looked as though someone with a larger foot had tried them on. Thankfully I’ve had a refund but posting them back to you cost me £6-39p.

Hello Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. It’s disappointing to hear the slippers you purchased were unsuitable. Our returns department have examined them but were unable to identify an issue with the sizing. It might be worth tyring the size down, to see if these are better for you. For future, you can purchase a reduced cost label from our website, so a postal return is only £3.20. Apologies for any inconvenience that has been caused to you. I returned two pair of shoes in mid October and three weeks later was still waiting for a refund. I phoned and apparently there was a glitch in the system! Anyway got it sorted but kinda disappointed as Charles Clinkard is usually spot on with everything. They’ve had my money for three weeks and I had nothing. Should have phoned them earlier. Just disappointing.

The shoes were ordered online. When delivered they had clearly been returned by another customer. They were not wrapped in the tissue paper. As a result the suede was scuffed and they were returned damaged to the shop. The assistant at the shop was very helpful and apologetic.

Ordered a pair of Fly of London boots and the right boot is larger and of a poor quality leather,not very happy,quality control is not up to standard

Hi, I have placed my order on the 20th October. I got confirmation on the 30th October it had been despatched. It is now the 7th of November and the order still has not left the UK. If I place a order with farfetch or these other online stores, I get within 3-4 days. It has been 8 days so far and still not even left the UK. I am not one to typically complain, however must say I am disapointed with this experiecnce.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. I am sorry for any confusion caused. We do advise international orders can take up to 25 working days to be delivered from the date of dispatch. Your order left the UK on the 31st of October and the tracking updates once it has been handed over to your country's delivery partner. This is now showing to have been received on the 8th November and we hope you are pleased with your order, but if you have any queries our Customer Service Team is available 7 days a week. The Rieker shoes I received were described as "extra wide fit". In fact they were narrower than "H" fitting. No good to me, so I returned them. The shoes are made in Europe and evidently there are no people in Europe with feet wider than the above.

I can see that you have also chatted with one of my colleagues and she was able to confirm to you that your refund was made on the 21st October, which is the day that your return was processed. She has emailed you with the last 4 digits of the card used sot that you can check this. I need to use orthotics which means I have to be able to replace the insoles that come with shoes. The insoles on these shoes were fixed so I couldn't wear the shoes. There was no mention of this on the website, why not?

Shoess were clearly returned by another customer as the soles were dirty . I didn’t have time to return as they were for my daughter’s birthday. You would expect that such expensive shoes would have been checked ? Very disappointed

The shop in Keswick is excellent. Staff v friendly and helpful but they do not receive shoes in my size, which is EU 41. I had to order online. I paid for next day as 3-5 days delivery is too unpredictable and unsafe for an expensive order. The shoes did not fit right. To return I had to either pay and drive to the Post Office to post or drive back to Keswick to the shop. You did not refund next day delivery charge. So I was paying extra a few times over. Why? Because the head office does not provide Keswick store with size 41. I tried to call your helpline several times. Someone put the phone down on me every time as soon as I selected the correct automated option. Local shop - Excellent. Central office - Poor.

Thank you for your review. I am sincerely sorry that you have had a problem with connecting to our Customer service team. We are here 7 days a week to help our customers. Customer service is very important to us, and that you were unable to connect to us is very disappointing. We will look out for this happeneing to others, but we are unaware of a problem at the present time. We do offer a free delivery postage service of which can take 2 to 5 working days. However as you asked for a next day, this is charged as it is prioritised over other orders and then send out with a next day service courier. This payment is not refunded. If you prefer not to send back your order via the post office, for which there is a link to buy a tracked ticket for just £3.20 on our website, you may send back using any courier that you wish. We also allow up to 365 days for you to return an order so if you are not near one of our stores, but do visit an area where there is one occasionally, you can return to store if you prefer. I love Gabor and have several ankle boots so thought I’d love these. They are fabric and bag around the leg - do disappointed as I love my other gabors .

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that you did not like the softer version of the Gabor boots. They have proved to be popular but will not be to everyones taste. This is a man made material for those who do not wish to wear leather with textile insoles. You may prefer the leather or leather look boots that we have in the range. I was quite disappointed that my parcel arrives with the shoe box crumpled and the shoes looks and feels like a display pair to me. I would have return it if not because of the international shipping fees.

I didn't receive a text or an email to say my order had arrived in my local shop. I had to telephone to check if it had been delivered. The lady said oh we text or email, she went to check and it was sat awaiting my collection. I said I had no text or email and was abruptly told we have emailed. We'll you didn't email me. My Rieker shoes are fine.

I was really unhappy about the way I was treated at the WILMSLOW store recently when I asked for a price match. First of all they said they didn't do a price match then I was told they only do price match with John Lewis. The lady asked me for the print out I had and I was then told "that's a hell of a difference" . It was £20!!! I made a phone call to customer services who were extremely helpful and even followed up my complaint with a further call and a gift credit of £10 which I put towards the trainers I initially wanted.

Slippers arrived faulty. They had obviously not been checked before sending out. They also appeared to have been already tried on by someone else, so should never have been put back in stock. Sent back for refund. Waste of my time , so not happy.

Thank you for your review. All orders over £40 do have free postage. Under £40 there is a £2.99 charge which will be refunded if you return the item within 2 weeks or purchasing. You can also opt for express delivery for £3.99 or on some items next day at £5.99 but this would not be refunded if the item was returned. If an exchange is required, then we again cover the postage to the customer, even if the item was under the £40 . Other sites may differ in price from time to time. When we have reductions we will also be lower than others at certain times, or if a range is coming to an end, we may reduce the price. However our prices are checked regularly and we feel we offer a good price for good quality produce and we are sorry if you found that this was not comparible to others. Really disappointed in the Van Dal sandals I ordered which are supposed to be wide fit but are more like a regular fit so I have to return them. I also have to pay the return postage for these which is very annoying.

First time using this company. 2 out of 3 items were incorrectly delivered back to the warehouse in Middlesbrough. It would not have been addressed if I hadn't made contact with the company. Very disappointed with the error.

Unfortunately ordering from you is expensive as when a item doesn’t fit the cost of delivery and return of said goods puts me off from reordering from you.

Thank you for your review. If you return an item and you have had to pay for standard delivery, then the postage will be refunded if you return within 2 weeks of you receiving the order. I have ensured today that the delivery postage has been refunded for you. With regard to returns, there is a link on our website where for £3.20 you can buy a tracked Royal Mail label to return orders to us, or you can return free to any Charles Clinakrd store.
