I received my order which was too big (absolutely my fault) but one of the sandals was marked and had obviously been worn or used as a shop try on. I took them back to my local store and managed to get the smaller size. The staff were very helpful and I did point out the signs of wear. I think it’s important not to send out shoes that have been used in the shop, if I was buying from the shop I would have had a choice. I certainly would not have wanted shoes that were marked.

To provide the largest selection of products, we sometimes source from our shops so cannot guarantee shoes have not been tried on at some point. The Clarks toddler shoes we ordered didn't seem a good quality or fit, poorly made, but we had no choice but to keep them as we are off on holiday. Very disappointed that the quality check is so poor at CC.

Unfortunately, the shoes I received did not have the same colour soles. (one was white, the other was yellow) It looked as though one of them may have been out on display. Very disappointing.

Ordered slippers and was sent two different slippers had to complain to get the slippers I originally ordered and now I don’t like them much as they have hard heels and tip you forward

Products good, online experience good but didn’t get the discount which had enticed me to buy two pairs of shoes. Would seem I would get the 20 per cent of NEXT time I shopped! Better use the shop. . .

Thank you for your review. We often have discount codes on our website for existing customers. A new customer registering with us can get a 10% discount when they sign up. I can see that you are a regular customer and were indeed entitled to your 20% discount which I have refunded for you today. You just needed to add the code given when yu placed the order. You also have a loyalty voucher worth £12 which can be used against any order, it was valid when this order was placed, if you would like to use it we can refund the £12 for you and cancel the voucher for you. Please let us know if you would like us to do this for you. It is valid until 30/04/2026 and we can provide the number if you would like to keep it for a future order. Not impressed. Box was ripped and the trainers looked as if they had been worn. The laces weren’t even in tact! Very poor. As they were only for work, I couldn’t be bothered with all the hassle of returning them. I won’t be buying from you again.

I only gave this review a 2 start because the lady who helped us in the shop was lovely. She has worked there for many years and used to fit my shoes for me when I was little. Otherwise it would have been a 1 star; Unfortunately when the shoes arrived, we found there was one shoe in a size 5.5 and the other was in a 6. Now got to mess about taking the shoes back to the shop and going through the order process again

Deeply disappointing. I purchased a pair of Bugatti Drake shoes in cognac and love them. However I have no idea how to clean the man made uppers. I contacted Charles Clinkard customer services and was told ‘we don’t know’ because the material of the upper is unknown. I was then fobbed off to Bugatti Fashion who despite two emails to customer service refuse to respond. So I have a pair of shoes that clearly need protecting so cannot wear them without the fear of marking them. I’ll certainly avoid Charles Clinkard in future.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review on your recent experience. Please accept my apologies your query was not answered when contacting us. As this shoe is a manmade material, dry cleaning would be the recommended method. Using a multi fabric cleaner such as the Dasco Multi-Cleaner spray is gentle but can be used on leather, nubuck and textiles so wont affect the colour or texture of the shoe. Along with a microfiber polishing cloth, this should keep your shoes clean whilst also improving the appearance. With all shoes, I would recommend a clear protector spray such as the Dasco Natural protectant as this can shield against weather staining and create a layer so if the shoes are marked, it is easier to remove. I was really disappointed when I received my recent order from Charles Clinkard. I felt that the product had not been checked before it was dispatched. In my opinion the trainers had been worn previously. The soles each one were dirty, there was no packing inside them, the laces were just left dangling and the left trainer was creased across the toe. Although I do like the trainers I had to return them for the stated reasons. I would like to reorder another pair but am reluctant to do so as I don’t want the same thing to happen again.

So disapointed. The Mere sandals come in so, so narrow. Last year they were available at NEXT in wide and extra wide, (they sold out quickly). When I live chatted to a rep, she had no clue and offered no information as to if or where I could locate the sandle in a wide fit. As I said...very disapointed with the whole experience.

I can’t review the shoes I bought as I have not yet received them. I have had an invoice and paid it but no confirmation of order which the initial invoice says that shows my order has been accepted. I didn’t pay for delivery but expected to get them before 10 days later

Relax Slippers Knot Leather Slipper - Size 6 I have bought these slippers in the past and they fitted perfectly, however the pair I just bought recently were not a good fit, they gapped at the side and I returned them. Was very disappointed

The shoes marked as 'extra wide' were barely even normal width and beware - you have to pay to return items even if they were wrongly described. Shame, because the shoes looked nice.

My daughter loves these, they are sturdy and looked good when we first got them but all the patent coating is peeling off all over both shoes after just 1 term. She is in yr6 so not crawling around in the floor. For the price and a good brand like Geox is been a disappointing purchase.

The shoes I ordered seemed fine, but the size was wrong. The company have a strange way of translating European to UK sizes, so the shoes are too small. When I spoke to customer services, they insisted I pay the return postage in order to get a replacement! Seems unfair as I had ordered the correct size, so I won’t be using this company again.

Thank you for your review. We sell different brands of shoes from different Countries and we ourselves do not dictate the sizing on the shoes, that comes from the manufacturer. We allow a good time for return so long as unworn so that you can try them in the comfort of your home, but yes we ask the customer to return at their own cost if it is a fitting issue and not a fault. Delivery to the customer is free, and also if an exchange is needed, we cover the delivery cost again. There is a link on our website to a Royal Mail portal, where returns cost just £3.20 for a tracked service. We do have reviews showing on our website so people can read and get an informed opinion from other customers. Previous reviews seem to be very good for this particular shoe, so we are disappointed to hear that it was not right for you. We are sorry that you were disappointed on this occasion. I ordered some eva birkenstocks (which I have had before in another colour). Thinking they were exactly the same but on the box they are narrow fit. This wasn't stated when I ordered them. There is no returns form enclosed so I cannot return.
