I was disappointed in the state of the shoe box when it arrived. It was not in good condition. If it was packed like that, then that is very disappointing. Also, the trainers I ordered the insoles is slightly indented.

Ordered a bag, however they sent the wrong colour. The did pay for the return & gave me a full refund. Extremely helpful when I emailed them, so there customer service is brilliant. Just a shame they sent the wrong item in the first place.

Shoes are a little tight, maybe they will give. Not comfy wide fitting as expected Will try size 13 next time.

We always shop at Charles Clinkard but there was a little hitch this time. When we got home we had a size 7 and a size 8 shoe in the box. On taking them back they did not have a replacement in store so we have had to re-order still waiting.

The slippers quality is very good I felt that the assistant did not listen to the problems I have with buying shoes.

We do try to maintain an accurate stock reflection on our website, however in some cases demand can outstrip the supply, meaning an item you ordered may be out of stock. While we are unable to forsee that this will be the case when an order is placed, I understand it is frustrating to be informed that an item you were expecting is no longer available. We have been very pleased with Charles Clinkard in the past but this time not. We ordered size 11 shoes from you but were sent size 12's which was annoying and unsatisfactory . We had to return them.

Whilst the Josef Seibel Anvers you ordered are listed as a UK size 11/46 online, the packaging displays only the EU size. In this case, a UK 11 corresponds to an EU 46, which is the size you ordered and is correct in this case. I understand that sizing/equations can vary between brands, so I apologise for any confusion or disappointment caused. Excellent quick delivery, easy returns. 3 stars as had you have ti pay for return which turned out quite expensive so don’t think I would use again for that reason.

Hi Tracey, Thank you for your review. We do deliver free of charge, but ask customers to return at their own cost. If an exchange is needed, we again pay the delivery postage to send out the replacement. There is a link on our website where for the reduced cost of £3.20 you can buy a Royal Mail label to either print out, or get a QR code so that the Post Office can post out for you. I ordered black knee length boots, size 7, wide fit. Unfortunately I will be returning them this weekend through a local branch (Shrewsbury) as I found it extremely difficult to push my foot into the boot and then impossible to zip them up. I do have a very high instep and a bony protrusion on top of my feet and this does cause difficulties. It was disappointing as the boots themselves are really lovely and would have been perfect. The only downside was that had I been able to keep them, they weren't quite as high as I'd expected. I am 5'8" and the top of the boot rested an inch below my knee. I need to add though that the parcel had been severely crushed at some point in its journey. The plastic outer bag was ripped in two places and the box had been flattened across one corner. I am assuming it is courier damaged and for this reason I am returning it through a store so that I can point it out to them. I suspect the courier would deny all knowledge and blame me.

I ordered a pair of sandals from Charles Clinkard @£59.99. They arrived promptly and were what I wanted. However the shoebox showed a price of £53.99. I messaged Charles Clinkard to ask why the shoes were more expensive on the website than on the box. I was refunded £6 but not given any explanation as to the discrepancy in price. I have ordered from Charles Clinkard quite a lot in the past but this has really put me off ordering from Charles Clinkard in future as it was just chance I noticed the price on the box. It makes me wonder whether I have been overcharged in the past or might be in the future

Thank you for leaving us a review. This sandal was previously in a sale where there was a 10% reduction. This offer has since ended but the sticker was not removed from the box. Too narrow despite ordering half a size up. Never been a problem before with Gabor. Note other reviewers have said similar. Are Gabor skimping on sizing ?

Thank you for your review. I am sorry to hear that you found these boots to be smaller than you expected. Size wise the length of the shoe has not been amended at all, but it could be that this seasons boots are slightly different to last season in design, or width. Shoe box was battered and oil stained. Filling in only one shoe. Shoes incorrectly packed. All these things made me doubt the care that should have been taken in shipping the item. The shoes themselves are good. I doubt I’ll buy from CC again though.

The shoes I ordered were too small, the boots were out of stock . Asked to be advised when back in stock - advised, ordered again - out of stock . A very frustrating experience !

I ordered some boots, they arrived quite quickly, they were a little tight so I rang and asked about an exchange for a bigger size, they said it wouldn't be a problem, I returned the boots before New Year, I had an email saying the new size should arrive in 5 days, I rang on the 13th Jan, the lady I spoke to didn't seem to know what was happening with the exchange, she sorted it out and boots came the day after, nice boots, thanks.

Reasonable prices but the product was really far from the description. Wide fit (wanted), but was skinnier across the toes than a winkle picker. Returns service was not too bad. Have had better.
