Shoes very good Ordering and returning is easy Delivery was sloppy, one pair perfectly boxed and clearly new. The other pair must have been returned a few times as the box was torn all around and crumpled - very sloppy of Clinkard to allow this to be delivered. Not the delivery company fault as the other box in same pack was perfect.

Have bought from CC many times in the past and have always been 5 stars, however, on this ocassion I ordered two pairs of shoes, size 9 (btw, every pair of shoes I own are a UK size 9) and both pairs, from different makes, were absolutley massive! I actually checked the size on the shoe labels as I didn't believe these were 9's, they stated they were, the end of my toes were at least 25cms from the end of the shoes. Have they changed the measurements of UK size 9s? I will be dubious of making online orders in future. On a positive note, I will say that the ordering, delivery, returns and service from staff were all still very much 5 star.

We do sell many different bands and they can differ slightly, but as a general rule the length should remain the same. We both love this shoe shop and the shoes we have bought from the store have always been comfortable, but one gripe i have is the brand offers a loyalty scheme collecting bonus points and if you spend over £100 you receive a voucher. However, on the previous occasions we have bought shoes either from the store or online, the reward points never show on my account. The last points were applied once i complained and we have recently used them, so the scheme works to a degree. We have spent well over £100 again and yet my account shows no points again. This is very tiresome as it seems i will have to contact customer services yet again

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble with the loyalty points not appearing on your account. The points do go back to 0 at the end of Feburary and again at the end of August when vouchers are sent out and I can see that you have a current voucher worth £7 which runs out in October 2026. I will email this to you. There are no new sales showing from end of August. If you have new purchases since then if you could reply to my email with any specific dates of purchases to help us locate them faster. Shoes are often rather expensive. But from time to time there are some bargains. I just ordered and promptly received a pair of suede mocassins with which I am very pleased. I use them as slippers. Good quality, well made and a reasonable delivey peiod. The option to pay via Amazon is a plus.

I am only giving 3 stars because my boots were left at the wrong house in their porch. They were away on holiday and did not find them until they got back!. I have many deliveries sent to my house which arrive safely and on time so there was no exuse for them to be left at the wrong place.

My order arrived in 2 packages. Sadly none were suitable. The returns were at my expense, and was expensive!!! Also only one return label sent. Still waiting for my refund. Won’t buy online again.

My three stars is more for the boots not Charles Clinkard itself as they are really helpful, but the Askham reiker boot that I bought was a disappointment, there was no information regarding the fit so I went on the reiker website and checked it on theirs and it was classed as a wide fit +so going on this I ordered them, when I got them they were not a wide fit at all but very narrow so their information was poor also, so I had to return them and pay to do so. Please can you put the fit on your website as had I known it wasn’t a wide fit I would not have ordered them, I know that some shoe stores do put wether it’s standard or wide and I have a wide foot so this information would have been useful.

These shoes were supposed to be wide fitting but was not wide enough. I have other Gabor styles in wide which are perfect fit

We strive to provide accurate sizing information, but sometimes variations can occur. Many customers try a half size larger to create extra room within the shoe. The extra length is minimal, however the extra area within the shoe creates a more comfortable fit. It doesnt work for everyone, but may be worth a try for you. I am very pleased with my purchase of black suede ankle boots. I am always put off from ordering from your company due to the fact that you do not offer free postal returns. I do not live near a store so I have option but to pay for a return.

Order was free delivery but I had to pay to return the slippers I had ordered as they did not fit. I have purchased this style of slipper albeit under a different brand name for many years, in pewte leatherr, navy suede and white leather. These seemed wider and my toe would not fit right to the end of the slipper so my heel hung over the back.

Was given a code for 10% off then when i applied it , it wouldn't let me have it , so i wasn't very pleased about it. Over the years ive had about 11 pairs of boots from this company, so theres no encoragement to keep buying from you.

The lady in your Darlington store Steph was very helpful . Unfortunately there was a problem with the shoes when first delivered they were different sizes . I notified you on the date they were delivered 16 September and didn’t get a response. So took the shoes back and the shop assistant sorted it out for me. Shop good head office not up to scratch. I love the shoes but they took a lot of getting .Thank you

I was hopeful about getting a good quality ankle boot in blue leather. The boots were beautiful but the sizing is a problem. Width was a C I believe which is narrow I am a wide D and have a bunion on one foot not huge but it’s making it difficult to find pretty footwear I’m very fed up with the situation Refund happened fairly quickly

No problem with the store but the sandals were faulty in that the central strap was too long and didn’t lie flat across the foot.
