Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. I can see your initial order was cancelled at your request due to a sizing issue, but then a second order was placed for a UK 12. I experienced difficulties when dealing with unhelpful staff in customer services, regarding 'price match' in relation to two pairs of 'Gabor' boots, which resulted in me losing out with purchasing them from another seller.

As discussed with our Customer Services Team, certain criteria must be met for customers to take advantage of our price match promise.  One of those is if the comparable company charges for delivery; we take this into consideration when calculating your discount. Placed an order made sure I was at home at the time , no parcel . Saw address was wrong so phoned and said , was told they would contact DPD and correct it and would be here next day . Made sure was in at the time stated , still no parcel . So unhappy phoned and cancelled it and asked for a refund . A week later nothing ! Done through PayPal so can see a complaint happening.

I ordered off line boots clearly ex display as very creased and 1 boot was navy as ordered the other was black I spoke to someone on chat they apologised n said would send me a free return label, will definitely not order again

Good quick service- However, I am so disappointed that it cost me to have delivered and cost even more to send back as advised by yourself to pay recorded delivery!! For me this was a complete waste of money!!! Cost me £12 for nothing. I shall not purchase again from this company

Thank you for your review. Our delivery to customers for orders over £40 is free. There was no postage paid for this to be delivered to you. You can take returns back to any Charles Clinkard store where you can return for free, or you can choose any postal service that you wish. Royal Mail second class is the cheapest method, and you can pay just 80p more for tracking, but if you choose signed for next day for example, that would be expensive. There is no need to choose this method, as second class only take 24 hours longer to arrive and we process all returns within 3 working days. There is also a link on our website where for £4.49 you can return up to 10 kilo. This link is to Collect + who have outlets where you can drop off your package, and is a tracked service. I hope that this information is of help should you change your mind and do order again in the future. You also have up to 365 days to return an item so long as unworn. I originally ordered 2 pairs of shoes. One pair was cancelled due to stock issues. The pair that did arrive were clearly worn. I returned these. Upon checking the other shoes that were cancelled were in fact in stock but they had increased in price by £10. I reordered and the customer service said they would refund me the difference so I would only pay the original price. After all this the 2nd order was then cancelled due to stock issues. Will never order from this company again it’s incredibly frustrating. The customer service advisers were good at dealing quickly with enquires.

I ordered a pair of Gabor Nesta in sand, as I already owned a pair of the navy ones and absolutely love them .My order arrived & when I opened the box, immediately I thought these shoes look as if they’ve been sent out before, there was no packaging in the shoes & the tissue was very crunched up, they looked as if the shoes had just been thrown in.Further more on inspection there was a scratch on the right toe, my Daughter who was visiting said, “Mum,these shoes have been worn, there is an indentation of a little toe on the right shoe, also you can see that the bottoms have been wiped over.” I am so annoyed that shoes have obviously worn by somebody before been sent out to me, this is the third time I’ve had shoes delivered by your company, but I’ve had to Return because of the the condition of the shoes on arrival. I Will never order from your company again. It’s just too much hassle returning. It’s difficult to take pictures, as the light reflects too much on the Patent.

The label on the box was what I ordered, as per the order form and the delivery sheet inside. The shoes in the box were not what the label said so obviously nobody bothered to check the contents or they thought they could pass it off - sloppy. Charles Clinkard charge for returns and since the shoes received were adequate but extremely well fitting and comfortable I decided to keep them rather than go to the trouble of sending them back. Also, delivery took too long.

I can assure you we would not do this knowingly and would have arranged for the incorrect item to come back to us at no cost to yourself. We do have a full customer service team 7 days a week and if any problems arise, we would not expect you to pay to return an item that you had not ordered. The delivery was quick but the shoes that were in the box will be returned. One shoe had not been tried on at all but the other one had been tried on many times. This resulted in the leather being heavily wrinkled across the top and they were both a different colour. Very disappointing.

I did not receive the boots I had ordered. Apparantly I sent them back before before receiving them. But thank you for returning my money. After ringing customer service I was also refunded the £5.99 postage.

I have only rated a 1 due to the very poor packaging my boots arrived in , the boots are lovely but too small have returned for a larger size , the box they were in was torn and broken boots not wrapped in tissue ,zips open . These boots were obviously a return and not checked before being sent out at a price of £100+ this is not how I expected to receive them .

Customer service at this company is the worst I have come across. Refunded the wrong amount without contacting me went into my bank account and took more money. I find this rather underhand and would advise anyone to think twice before buying.

Thank you for your review. Looking at your order, you had a 10% discount when you placed it, and when the item was returned in store, the original price came up. The assistant did write on the receipt what your refund would be so that it would not reflect the incorrect price and show a refund of more than you paid. The amount refunded was the correct amount. We have many court shoes on our website that are leather, if you click onto filter and then leather, it will take out all other shoes, you can also pick your heel height and colour via the filter. Thank you for taking the time to contact us. Having looked into this for you, I can confirm we haven't taken payment from your account twice. When you initially attempted to place an order, the authorisation from your bank failed, resulting in a 'shadow' transaction on your account. The funds usually re-appear in your available balance instantly. However, occasionally, a ‘shadow’ may remain on your account for between 3-10 working days, depending on your bank. Ordered a pair of boots as a Christmas present for my wife. Had confirmation mail, then 5 days later had a mail saying payment hadn't gone through. Spoke with CK over the phone to correct expiry date, email conformation received, then found another issue. Repurchased online received mail informing should be able to collect on 22nd Dec. Went to store, hadn't arrived, store manager had them been delivered to store on 21st, hadn't arrived so he called headquarters, they didn't know where they were. The account still is saying despatched.as it has for nearly 2 weeks.
