The mark of how good a company is is how they deal with complaints. This company collected the furniture and the next time we had view of it was when it was returned, minus part of the three seater sofa. It took them over a week to find the missing item and when it arrived it smelled of petrol. It is proving difficult to get quotes to have the sofa cleaned, especially when they know is that ANYVAN is involved. They also drag out their replies, tending to send them out late on Fridays asking for more and more details. My advice based on my experience, avoid them.

We decided to book with any van for our removals. This was a big mistake. Initially we did all checks online and via phone with them and they clearly stated the delivery men will be professional, would have all the tools and will stay as long as needed to complete the job at no extra costs. The people who arrived did initially seem capable but we soon realised they were not competent nor were they friendly or willing to help. Anyvan told us that we can go over 10% of the items listed but these people clearly refused to take anything extra that wasn’t listed and they were telling us “anyvan doesn’t know what they are doing” “Anyvan can jog on we won’t carry anything extra” they made several more comments. We addressed these concerns to Anyvan several times during our moving day and Anyvan kept promising to call us back in half hour but we never heard anything… in the end the workers left a TV on the wall as they didn’t have the tools, they didn’t assemble our sofa and just dumped it in a room. They also damaged our new property. When we called Anyvan to raise a complaint they informed us they will send out another driver the next day at no extra cost and they will have someone remove TV from old property and also assemble the sofa in the new property. When we rang the next day Anyvan blatantly refused to help and said if another removal team comes out there will be a further charge. Moving home is meant to be a good time but Anyvan made it a very big hassle for us. They don’t have competent staff and their customer service is a disgrace. Anyvan are thief’s who will say absolutely anything to get a booking then refuse everything by sending people who don’t have a clue what they’re doing. Please avoid this company at all costs.

Used this company to move belongings from Somerset to Harrogate. Van due to arrive between 8am-2pm, arrived at 6pm, had several conversations with customer service, told they’re on way but lied to all day. 2 guys turned up, both non English speaking so communication zero, van was already half full. One guy rushed in and just started grabbing my things, no order, no inventory checked, van loaded in the dark with aid of torch as inside light not working on van. As van already half full 3 of my items would not fit on but I couldn’t make myself understood so just left those and will have to now make another trip. I was fairly satisfied that my items were secured safely and managed to understand from one of the men that mine was the first job in the morning. The van arrived finally in Harrogate around 12 the next da. When they opened it up I could have cried. They had picked up a sofa from someone else and to make room for it they had moved half of my things by picking them up and literally throwing them on top of each other. My fridge freezer had been secured safely when it left my home but it had since been shunted further into the van causing my boxes to fall over and the fridge now had a big dent in it and a huge scratch the other side. 3 more items of furniture were damaged pretty much beyond repair. They didn’t care one bit, shrugged their shoulders and one in broken English said No worry if broken they pay! I’ve received £12 refund for missed time slot and I have a claim going through for damaged items but I don’t hold out much hope for that. Do not use these cowboys unless you want the most awful experience you can have.

My parents hired this company to help them move furniture into their new home. The furniture was poorly handled and arrived with many pieces damaged, some damage was cleverly hidden drawers wedgded shut broken inside, handles wedged on...etc. We attempted to complain but were fobbed off until after 2 weeks we were told it was too late for them to take action. A terribly disappointing and expensive start to a house move. Cannot recommend. Would never use again!!

Used them 5 times never had a problem moving but 1st time I have claimed for a damaged TV. 4 weeks later still not resolved. They dont answer emails either. When I phoned them recently they told me they hadn't even discussed with the delivery driver. What on earth will the driver remember 4 weeks later. Wont recommend

Since they are denying all responsibility about 23rd of October this honest review is being left about that experience Unpacked boxes, lies, broken items and human waste left in the toilet for me to clean up. Nothing moved out of the property Be wary when booking with them Since they have "inveatigated" and found no wrong doing they won't mind the pictures being put out there Since they did nothing wrong Be careful who does your move The ones sent on 25th and 30th of October we absolutely amazing and a credit to them

I spent £120-130 for this ?! I’ve booked with anyvan 2-3 times and I’ve never had such a terrible experience where I’ve been disrespected by a driver. The driver called me at 7:43am and told me he was outside my place. The booking was between 9-12 in the morning but I told him I’ll book a taxi and be there in 10 mins. I arrived, he was no where to be found. I called him and he said he’d come back at 9. I sat in a cold house for an hour. He arrived and I asked if he can take the closet instead of the fridge which he replied I’d have to call them. I called anyvan and the lady tried calling the driver and he refused to answer his phone. After I called anyvan he ignored me the ENTIRE moving process, ignored my questions and my directions. I have never been so disrespected and can’t believe I paid for a service to be disrespected. I asked them to leave my stuff because I didn’t want the service anymore and I was completely ignored. I called anyvan to get compensation and was told they’d only provide credit for the fridge left behind not for my taxi. I feel completely disregarded and I feel like discriminated against by the driver. His helper was really nice but the driver was rude as if I was beneath him and he didn’t have time to talk to me. I spent £120-130 for this ?! NEVER AGAIN

If I could rate zero stars I would. I hired anyvan to do my house move. They HIRE other people who are incompetent. 2 men came with a small van and I expressed my concern as it was a full house move. The men could not speak English and somehow managed to put my full house hold items into 1 small van. During the removal they damaged 2 of 4 flat screen televisions. 1 that cost £2000. A oak mirror, fridge freezer, washing machine and dryer all dented and scratched massively. The above I put in a claim for obviously and the removal men said the damage was already done. Yeh no images to support the damage. They had taken images of damage to other items in my old house which I pointed out to them also. Anyway. It was then that I became aware that anyvan use a 3rd party. And I am not insured for damage with anyvan. They will not provide me with the lads insurance provider due to confidentiality. These lads have caused thousands of pounds worth of damage to my belongings and AnyVan have said if they do not accept liability I will be given up to £100 towards each damaged item. I am seeking legal advice and hope anyvan will be slammed with the legal bill. The only advice I will give is stay well clear of this terrible company and save your self the upset of items being badly damaged. My cooker was also badly damaged but before I realised I was not insured for damage I did not claim for this as my cooker had other damage so I felt it was unreasonable to claim for it. Any van promised my tvs would be taken down and put up. Then they said they do not do this. Any Van is not as good as they like to make out. My home appliances are ruined. One lad trampled poo all over my carpets. I paid for 3 beds to be taken down and put back up. They are loose and I am unable to do it my self due to physical health problems. Honestly wouldn't waste your money

AVOID AVOID AVOID to put it simply choose another company. Shocking communication to say the least. They arrived late and delivered two days late too with barely an explanation. The office team didn’t have the same “ story “‘as the removal team with an explanation of where our stuff had got to… at one point promising our items where two hours away only to receive an email at 8:40PM saying the delivery of our items would be rescheduled.( they were already a day and a half late by this point ) They didn’t want to put the items into the correct rooms or even close. Their explanation for this was they have a 7 hour drive ahead of them to get home. I wish I had chosen another company and spent £4000 on removals else where !! They did admit it had been a total shambles and offered £75 compensation which i refused. It was meant to be escalated to a higher level but once again with zero communication they proceeded to issue the £75 “ compensation which doesn’t even cover the items that got damaged or smashed up. They disregarded my concerns and my refusal of the £75 and made the refund regardless, with yet again no phone call back to me to discuss. They talk the good talk on the initial phone call but it’s all a front , they are just basically a middle man to finding any old van to complete the job. I wish I had paid the £4000 to a better run , more deserving company rather than this bunch of cowboys.

Warning do not hand over your Bank or credit card details. They have charged us £1195 for a move we never agreed to and because we failed to cancel it within 48 hours we actually cancelled it in just under 47 hours they have stolen half of the money £597 for doing absolutely nothing. We could have rescheduled but they wanted and extra £300 but after reading other peoples reviews about their experiences with drivers decided to cut our losses and take the hit. this how this company makes its money. We will never go anywhere near this SCAM company and would advise everyone else to do the same.

I think they are scammers. Anyvan just changed my task, my task of moving piano and small item from living and moving 50sqf storage things were changed into "3 items", offer accepted attempted to increase, suddenly I got cancellation, still no deposit refund. I feel this is a scam. Do not hire via them!

Please please please DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY unless you are prepared to lose a lot of your money and gain a great deal of stress and pain. I contacted them because I needed a removal company. The agent was very persuasive and after I sent him a video of the content to be removed he sent me an estimate of £1254 which seemed reasonable. When the movers arrived one did not speak English at all and the other had probably a vocabulary of no more than 20 English words. By gestures they indicated that they were not going to transport more than half of my flat’s content. When I tried to contact Anyvan customer service this wasn’t possible and I was only able to approach it through the movers phone. I had to accept their request to pay a further £526 to complete my removal. When the second set of movers arrived two hours later they had no boxes (which were clearly indicated in the contract). I had to frantically go to the nearest DIY store to buy boxes which cost me an additional £200. Once both set of mover’s vans were full they didn’t carry out any more work. My flat had still an enormous quantity of items left including the whole kitchen which had not been touched. This can be seen here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VCrhtwAaC6Y I finished packing on my own at 3am the next day The contract was sent to me after I paid for the service and by paying alone you accept the terms of the contract (that you were still not able to read). On section 2.4 of the contract they mention “partners” referring to the outsourced underpaid staff that they use. Please consult this site to check some of Anyvan’s actions https://the.organise.network/campaigns/network-fair-pay-for-drivers-doing-your-work-d20ec923ecc31a41. In order to escape any liability for themselves In this section they clearly indicate that they will accept no liability for anything that their “partners” will do. Anyvan’s CEO is Angus Elphinstone, His details can be found here https://contactout.com/Angus-Elphinstone-418083 I have reported him as the director of Anyvan to the police fraud department https://www.met.police.uk/ro/report/fo/v1/fraud/ I would encourage all of you who have been defrauded by Anyvan to report it on this site. If there are enough complaints they may very well be motivated to act.

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received. I paid £200 to move a small number goods from Manchester to Liverpool. The driver turned up late. He refused to take some of my goods even though there was plenty of room in the van. He did the bare minimum throughout and was extremely rude to me. He just put my goods on the pavement. He did not help me move things into my flat. I had to do it on my own and eventually got a kind neighbour to help me. I am very angry about the way I was treated and would like a refund as soon as possible.

Terrible. Damaged my new mattress by getting black marks across it by lying it on their van floor with no blankets! Damage my Bramdean new fridge freezer by lying it down! Forgot to remove a single bed and couldn't return, so I had to pay someone else to move it. Horrendous service.

Definitely avoid. They are much more expensive then other companies and then try to rip you off by charging you with hidden fee such as 20m rule. Apperently, if the distance between flat door and the van is more then 20m they will charge you 10% per 10m. Definitely avoid, not worth of your time and money

The most appalling service of any company, Paid for a row day move so not to be totally stressed as I have a disabled husband. They never turned up and only when I phoned did they say there was a problem. Never arrived the second day they sent a replacement firm to move us. Lost two items and accept no responsibility. . Just the most dreadful experience . No satisfaction despite many emails. Use this company at your own peril. Needs to be closed down

After paying a considerable amount of money and having AnyVan confirming a time slot by text message the driver drove off and didn’t complete the job. Customer services were absolutely not helpful and they got my money without doing the job in total £277 pounds and plus I had to incur in extra costs to do the job myself. Their website and text messages are deceiving and when things go wrong they just “steal” your money. You are better off to work with a local family service or rent a can yourself. DO NOT USE IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO GET YOUR MONEY STOLEN and get stuck.

I had book a slot for collection of 1 bed flat for 1pm to 4pm, which was delayed and driver arrived more than two hours later than the time arranged at 6:14pm. For the delivery the driver should have arrived at the drop off at 6pm, but he arrived at 8:17pm instead. At the collection, the van supplied was miscalculated at not all of my items of furniture fit, even if there were on the check list that I had provided. Van driver was quite unprofessional and wanted to cut corners. At drop off, he didn’t help at all to take items to the first floor as indicated in the checklist and would just drop stuff in the front garden and kept complaining about being 9pm already (when the delay was not my fault).
