Driver was very rude and damaged will walls when carrying my mirror. Notified anyvan and they said they won’t accept liability because the driver said he didn’t do it. I also paid for the additional insurance which should have covered it

This company is an absolute joke. I booked a small house removal. First day the van was half full of someone else’s stuff and couldn’t load mine. The second day, the van broke down and couldn’t come. I was told I could cancel for a refund but this was an important house move for a new job and I was at the mercy of this unprofessional company. Third day the van came at 7am then had to drive to Manchester to collect more stuff and said they’d get to my new house for 5pm. I was sick and arranged for a friend to supervise the delivery. The driver called at 1.45 to say it would be 8hrs before arrival! Eventually got to my new house at 9.45pm and my friend couldn’t stay that late, the drivers dumped all my stuff in the kitchen! After a phonecall to the manager they dumped a bed and drawers upstairs and everything else in the kitchen! Oh except for my bike which they dumped outside. I was in tears to the driver begging him to put my sofa in the lounge and washing machine in the garage, I even offered to pay him more money to put my things where I needed them and he refused. The company’s response; I should have arranged for someone to meet the driver, regardless of time of night, I should have said if I wanted the items in the correct room (despite this being a house removal service), the driver apparently said I wanted all my items dumped in the kitchen, they offered a measly 10% refund - stick it Anyvan, you’re company is shocking and does not deserve to operate. You’ve caused me distress, worry and anguish and now I have to pay someone to put right your shoddy service.

Dishonest business. Avoid at all cost. Dishonest business. Full of lies. Money-extorting. I wasted my money and time and continually so as my formal complaint is not taken seriously. Use TaskRabbit instead, you get to work directly with drivers and review them directly as well. Use Gumtree instead, or any other platform. Stay away. You will end paying for the job and doing it yourself while more money will be asked of you. Comical, but true.

Very unprofessional and rude person came with a driver,I didn't even ask for extra person with driver, started fighting with me over nothing,he doesn't know at all how to speak, left my bags and packed luggage in my flat and drove his van without even informing me that he is going and leaving my luggage behind,I had to took taxi afterwards to move my luggage. Very bad service, now terrified thinking how they will drop my luggage safely the one they loaded on the van

AVOID. Disgusting scam of a company. Sent a group of men and a van who arrived, chainsmoked the whole time, refused to carry out the job saying there wasn't permitted parking, despite me finding bay parking alternatives for them, they still refused while sneering in my face saying "I've been doing this for 15 years darling". After an hour of not doing anything, and me desperately trying to find alternatives, they drove off and blocked my number. It took me an hour to get through to customer service ON THE DAY OF MY MOVE, where they told me they're keeping the £300 I paid saying it's within their rights to do so. I used Compare The Man And Van in the end - they arrived finding me very upset, parked up, did the job in half an hour - truly professional, lovely, honest, hardworking people and company. ABSOLUTELY AVOID ANYVAN unless you want to be conned out of your money and time, as well as the awful customer service. I can't believe they are pocketing my money despite me showing photo evidence of parking spaces and not carrying out the service.

Absolutely shocking company they are brokers nothing more get a cheap local company and weld on their profit. My removal was two guys who could barely speak English so difficult to have them understand also one man could barely walk and struggled with furniture. I have now got a ruined sideboard that was scratched in move but apparently I’m not covered for that but was offered an amazing £18 compensation to help soften the blow of a £450 replacement. Stay well clear and save money by going to the local guys as half the price and going to be the same quality anyway.

Con con con Paid £1345 for a lousy service. Wrote them an email to complain and got no reply. Posted complaints on all the forums, they came back with generic emails asking for booking ref no. Read their reviews, looks like many are rigged. Read only the complaints and you will know the problem you will face if you dare to use them.

Never ever use these crooks. We paid £200 extra for the van to turn up between 10-11am, van turned up at 12.15pm and they're claiming this wasn't the case. Their drivers then took unauthorised photos of us dismantling a bed that took under 5 minutes, which they're saying took a lot longer. Disgusting company with rude drivers employed, will never ever use again!

DO NOT use this company under any circumstances! Not only will the drivers steal your belongings worth £1000+ , they will charge you for anything additional that wasn’t in the “estimated” quote. The customer service is just as diabolical as they say you’re only covered for damaged items not theft or loss up to 7 days after the job. So if you’re doing a big house move or putting things into storage and don’t check each and every item within 7 days then they fob you off. And even if you do notice not everything has been delivered, they couldn’t care less. The driver is completely denying even taking these additional items from me despite the fact I handed them to him personally. He’s also denying taking the extra money he demanded which was £100 in cash (which he then agreed to lower to £80, how generous…). Customer service are taking his word over ours despite us having no reason to lie, and the screenshot messages I have of mine and my mums texts at the time time of pick up. I had to ask her to pay him the money he was asking at the delivery address where she was waiting otherwise he wasn’t going to do the job which was already paid for!! I was in another part of the country from where I was moving my belongings to so I could only check when I visited 3 weeks later. This was when I’d realised x8 expensive jackets and coats had been stolen by the driver and his friend. To add, there should have been just one driver and he turned up to do the job with his friend? They had awful attitudes and were highly unprofessional, it seemed very shady from the moment they walked in the door and now I know why. I am mortified that their drivers can steal whatever they like from you and absolutely nothing is done about it and not even as much as compensation is offered. I’m certain this isn’t the first time this is happened and I’m sure this won’t be the last as they know they can get away with it.

I used AnyVan recently to move my daughter out of university housing back home. They took a box with jewellery and other valuable items, which was not supposed to be moved by them and it never arrived at the destination. When I called AnyVan to complain, they said their insurance doesn’t cover missing boxes. What a joke! If you value your things, do not use this company. I wish we never had. Unprofessional company who do not vet their people. I have filed a police report now for theft. Avoid at all cost or you will regret your decision.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! BEWARE PLS READ THE FOLLOWING....... We booked your service on 30th June 2023 at 0900am to 1100am. Your staff called at 1030am telling us they cannot arrive due to a flat tire (which I believe is a complete and utter lie due to what happened during the rest of the day), they said they will call us again to reschedule around lunch time. We received your call around 1pm informing us of your arrival at around 1530pm to 1600pm which would by then be 7 hours later than scheduled. And again at 1600pm, another call to us telling us that the driver is coming from Birmingham!! It takes 3 hours to arrive in Exeter and finally they arrived at 2045pm. After 45 minutes of loading the goods, they got into a serious argument which I believe is with your company, waking up all the neighbours nearby and they stop loading, the situation was settled but after another moving of 45 minutes, they started arguing again and neighbours are so annoyed by your staff. Then, your staff suddenly asked us for delivery the next day which I definitely refused at that moment. I strongly requested for them to honour our agreement and we both drive to the same destination in Telford. The loading finished at 2300pm and I confirmed with your driver the estimated arrival will be around 0200am. By 0600am no one turned up, your person in charge, your driver were both not taking my calls. All my property and personal belongings were in your possession and we had no idea when or whether it would arrive. We ended up having to rent a hotel our children were exhausted and we were frustrated. The service is absolutely diabolical and the company is totally irresponsible. They have serious problems within the company between employer and employees. I believe the good reviews on here are totally fake. Do not use their service, you will surely be disappointed.

TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE. The worst experience of any service, ever. They took our money, we're so chaotic they didn't order a van and have kept our £243. Now we are taking them to court to get out money back. What happened is that we wanted a van to pick up a sofa in the Lake District and take it to the East Midlands. Simply enough eh?One pick up and one drop off! Anyvan said they could do it for £243, but insisted on payment upfront. Anyvan even choose the date and time. we drove to the lake district to make sure the sofa was not left in the street. We got there early, we waited, and waited, but no van! Rang Anyvan, they then told us they had forgotten to order a van, and there was no van coming to pick up our sofa. Nothing we can do, we were told! Terrible, terrible service. Talk about hung out to dry and sod your luck mate, and to top it off, they have kept our money!!! So we were left in the street with a sofa and my wife in floods of tears. What were we to do with a sofa in the street 200 miles from where Anyvan promised they would deliver it? I ended up driving to Manchester to hire a van (thank you Arnold Clark, you are a life saver) driving back to the lake district, struggling with the sofa on my own, driving to East Midlands, delivering it at Midnight, then driving back home for 2am. 600 miles and a 20hr day! Thanks to the chaos caused by Anyvan. The worst service ever was not over though! I have written to all 3 directors to get my money back, they didn't ever bother to reply, so, they have my £243, it cost me £180 van hire=£423 out of pocket, and a wife back in depression. What do I have to do get my money back from these people. DO NOT USE ANYVAN AT ANY PRICE, THEY ARE TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Used for business. The driver forgot to deliver part of the items and rang me the next day to tell me he'd return another day that week, he didn't, he then said his friend was delivering and they didn't, he then avoided all calls and contact so we had no idea where the item was and also had a very angry customer awaiting delivery. Anyvan have been beyond rude and useless, when they did decide to get back to me they suggested I contact the police as it's stealing! Just passing the buck and removing themselves from the problem. A very untrustworthy company and I really wouldn't recommend them, especially for expensive and important items. I'm still awaiting an answer about claiming through their insurance but as the process has been so drawn out, over a month now, I suspect they'll say it's out of the claim time frame. We still have no resolve or end to this. This company should be shut down.

Booking with a young girl was not that easy as I had to keep repeating what there was to collect. She clearly wasn't listening. I diverted the delivery from home address to a storage unit just down the road from me and was immediately charged what I thought was a lot more. Upon asking the goods to be delivered,I was contacted by the collection driver who was collecting from the storage unit that one of my glass cabinets was completely smashed.I attended the the storage unit and he was correct.Just fit for the bin. Also they only collected 2 of the items out 6 that I asked to be collected as there van was too small.I had to leave these items to be disposed of as was vacating the premises. I made a claim for the smashed unit which was worth around £250 and was offered £29 !! THIS COMPANY IS A SHAMBLES AND SHOULD NOT BE IN BUSINESS.aVOID IT AT ALL COSTS!

Booking was ok, price seemed competitive. However: 1. I tried to reschedule and immediately price went up by 15% 2. On the day of move the tracker told me driver was on time but comment below indicted 3 hours delay from the start time 3. Tried to call driver via the trucker phone button but it was not even ringing once before the call was disconnected 4. Cakes customer, they were polite but could not contcst driver and there were no other drivers available. I had a hard deadline to return the keys to agent 5. Tried to explain this and aside from 'I'm soryy to hear that' nothing was done but was told the driver was doing his best. There was a delay in previous job 6. Tracker time was update to earlier time but still no show 2.5 hours after the start time 7. Used chat to get a status update but same 'driver is sound his best to arrive' was given. But now it was 3 hours late 7. Called c.s. Agsin and was told driver was updating job statuses but was not picking up phone but he was doing the best to be at my place. I was pretty firm at this point I wanted a refund and compensation. Due to late pick up I was now having to pay 1 extra day in rent and I also needed another mover 8. This is a badly managed company. Fake reviews on my view as they were all 5 stars. Impossible. I had to find a more expensive mover and due to my tight deadline I have not been able to be choosy. Every day I don't complete my move out I pay rent. If i could give negative stars I would. Don't believe the reviews they just have a polite-Ish customer service but the actual service you pay for is awful

Booked a house move for 2nd June, we are both elderly disabled couple, suffering from diabetes, severe arthritis and other medical conditions, hence we booked their premier service package, including packing and unpacking, dismantling of big items and rebuilding, especially my medical bed, operated electrically, so had pre-booked and agreed at the time of booking and listed on work schedule as special. On the day of the move, first of all the van that was sent was too small, 2 people instead of a team. Arrived and started at 8.30am on the 2nd of June, The first couple of hours all was going well, half way through packing, we were told, we can't take this, take that and so forth, I asked what was wrong, they started asking for more money. I had just sold the property and needed to hand over the keys to new owners at 2pm that day. I had already talked into paying £1,355 for the move in advance, and they wanted a further £347.58, it seemed like we had a gun held to our heads to Pay otherwise they leave. As soon as the £347.58 was paid, they asked for more! Another £125, I asked why? They said it's for the second run they will do. I was only moving 3.5 miles away. If they had brought an adequate transport in the first place they wouldn't have had to do a second run. They couldn't even get a 3, 2 and single sofa set, in the van, with the other things that were booked. Needed adequate size of the transport for the move. In the end I paid £1,827.58 for the move. Even after paying what they asked for, they left some things behind but the new owners felt for us, due to our age and medical conditions and gave us the next few days to pick them up. It was 12.30am the next day, 3rd June when the movers left our new residence. There was no time to unpack anything, even though we had paid for it. My wife went to see everything was inplace for me to go sleep and noticed they hadn't hooked up my medical bed, the dryer and the washing machine was just left unconnected. I couldn't sleep in my bed due to my medical condition, Hence spent the night sitting in my armchair. Next morning my daughter came to help and started opening packed boxes, to get the kitchen started. She found one box with shoes at the bottom and a loaf of bread and some tea cakes on top! I think that was the bottom line for me. I would like the founding owner, Angus Elphinstone and the senior customer care executive named Stacey, to position their elderly parents or grandparents in our situation, then put their hand on their heart and tell us that we were justly treated?? That's hoping they have a heart! I hope this opens some eyes within the Anyvan organisation, not to promise anything, knowing it's not going to be fulfilled, avoiding the stress and suffering of elderly people. SORRY A BIG AVOID from me....!!

I had the most horrendous experience with this company. I was made aware that I would be contacted by the driver 30 minutes before his arrival at my house. It got to 15 minutes before the end of the time slot and no one had contacted me. I then went online to used the chat box feature to ask what was going on and a few minutes before the end of my time slot I was told my driver had cancelled and I may not get a new time slot until the following day. I was moving house and I could not just change my time slot to the following day as I was then out of my housing contract!

I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration with the recent service I received from AnyVan on May 29th. I hired your company to assist me with moving a double bed and mattress from my friend’s apartment to my house, with your confirmation that I would receive the help of a staff. However, the person assigned to assist me displayed an extremely hostile attitude towards my friend and me throughout the entire process, which has compelled me to bring this matter to your attention. To begin with, at the pick-up location which is my friend’s apartment, your staff was noticeably impatient and hostile and showed no regard for customer service. As my friend was kindly helping with the moving process, the person responded with an apparent expression of disdain and dissatisfaction with no appreciation of my friend’s assistance at all. Upon reaching the destination, he, again, behaved and talked in an extremely hostile and rude way. And showed no intention to protect our mattress or to finish his job. I was astonished when I saw him dragged my mattress around on the ground all the way from his vehicle to my house without a single lift-up. I was extremely sad to see my clean white mattress became a dirty mess covered in un-cleanable dust and dirt. The most disgusting thing was that, right from the start of this job, he has been bluntly demanding multiple people to pay him extra money personally. My friend at the pick-up location was confused and scared when this man started to require money from him the moment they met. When he arrived at the destination, he continuously badgered us for additional payment as well. As a female customer, I felt threatened by his aggressiveness, as he blocked my doorway and showed a complete lack of respect towards me. It was only when my husband intervened to inquire about the situation that he reluctantly left while uttering offensive language. I am regret to tell you that he even used the F-word in front of us when he left. He threatened that he wanted more money because he did extra work, but that was just a lie - my friend kindly helped him on the pick-up location and my husband did all the moving with him at the destination. And when I was making this order, I made it very clear that the item was in a 3rd floor flat and was to be moved to a ground floor house - this has already been reflected in the price we paid. I also noticed that the brand name on the vehicle he was driving clearly did not match the AnyVan branding, raising doubts about whether AnyVan sent the right professional to finish this job. His unprofessional behaviour and lack of responsibility/respect were filled with resentment and discontent, leaving me puzzled as to why such a poor level of service was provided. It is disheartening to pay for a high-quality service and receive such abysmal treatment in return. I made the complaint online! but nothing investgated except asking me to fill the product form. It came the result that because my friend helped move the mattress, it cannot decided who damaged the mattress?? The templated answer gave blame on customers, and they did not care about any other! The worst service experience and worst attitude I have ever met! Avoid using it! I will come everyday hhh!
