The reason for the poor is because of a picking error meaning that I received the wrong item. I visited the shop to return. Staff each time I contacted by phone & staff in the shop were very pleasant and helpful, but picking errors are just hassle for a customer and a no no in business today with all the technology available. A simple human error I guess but enormously frustrating.

Ordered a heated gilet on 1 April, it arrived 25 April. No communication from them until I E mailed to find out status of order!! According to Website should have been within6 working days!! Always been pleased with the service when buying from the shop but ordering online was a different matter.

I had to follow up my order after 2 weeks of my purchase not arriving. I was told the product was out of stock and it would be shipped as soon as in stock. This was not mentioned at the point of sale plus I had no confirmation of my purchase. Had to follow up after another 2 weeks to then be told they had been dispatched that day. Total lack of communication was my main bug bare.

I paid in full for my order of sailing boots in early October but only received them in April. The company did include a carry bag and cleaning kit by way of compensation but the wait was way too long.

Bit disappointed as the shoes, although made by the same manufacturer Dubarry, were the size I normally wear - 43- but were much bigger than usual. Have had to send them back and order a size smaller - but why?

The product I was shipped was good, although there was some minor loose stitches on the tie that needed to be snipped. The main issue is that I paid for 3 day delivery (the only option) by DPD, and the order wasn’t fulfilled on A. Farley’s website until four days after I ordered it. 3 days after that, (none of this including weekends), I received the tie, which I had ordered on the 8th, just over a week before Easter Weekend, which I had hoped to have it for. All in all, I paid for 3 day delivery and it arrived in 7 working days (ordered on 8th arrived on the 19th) so I was essentially charged for nothing, and unfortunately the issue has still not been resolved.

You took my order and payment when you did not have the item in stock. You said at the time of order 5-6 business days for delivery. Only after I queried delivery did you admit to not having stock. I got my order only 2 days after the original suggested date so no big deal....but your management of expectations is very poor. You need to learn to be transparent up front and under-promise but over-deliver, not the other way around. The product was fine.

Unfortunately I was unable to get my feet into the lovely boots. I had expected them to have a zip down the side. They looked very nice and appeared to be well made. I have returned them for a refund.

For the second time I have received trousers with each leg a slightly but noticeably different length. For the second time I will have to take a pair of trousers from you to a tailor for adjustment! As a separate point I notice the hip pockets are much shorter/shallower than other trouser makes/brands. For mobile phones etc I guess most of your customers would prefer normal pockets

I ordered some wellingtons that I specifically needed in three days time so I ordered next day delivery. You failed to dispatch the goods until I contacted you asking their whereabouts.

We can see you spoke to one of our customer service reps who put your order on a special saturday delivery service to be with you within the timescale you needed the boots. Unfortunately it took a long time to receive my order and not even an email from you saying it was late I received, and if I remember correctly I paid an extra amount for express delivery for that reason I leave two stars.

I ordered the Du Barry Roscommon boots on 6/12/21 and paid in full for my wife’s Christmas present. A Farley were out of stock and so were Du Barry. I agreed to wait, and was told that they may not be available until late February. They arrived last week and we were pleased. My wife wore them to a parish meeting on Thursday 3rd February and returned with a bloody right heel! On examination the boot had a leather lump in the inside heel that had caused the abrasion. On further inspection it was an obvious manufacturing fault that had not been discovered during any quality control examination, no excuse possible! The boots have now been packed for return by DPD. I have asked that a new replacement pair are sent asap. Del on time, month + late.

Thank you for your review. I am sorry to see we have sent you the shoes your ordered with a rubber sole as opposed to the leather sole. I can see you have been in contact with our customer service team who offered to send out the correct boots but have instead opted for a refund. I can see the customer service team emailed you a pre-paid returns label to return the boots free of charge. The boots have been received back by ourselves today and a refund has been issued. Ordered belt recently and it arrived in poor condition. Emailed to ask about this but have not received any response as of yet. The quality of it is good, so would have liked a replacement. Hopefully will hear back soon

I Ordered for next working day which would have been Tuesday 21st which was ok as it was my wifes christmas present .you emailed me to say that there would be a delay as the number of orders was excessive causing a delay .As it was Christmas i would have thought you would have anticipated this or taken down the next working day quote.I emailed you back requesting you get the boots to me by the Wednesday evening as we were going away and you did not have courtesy to respond to me.The boots arrived on Thursday morning which for me was too late for Christmas .The order was only placed with you because you stated next working day.

Good afternoon Richard, Thank you for your email. I can see our customer service manager has since been in contact to advise you of the issues we had over the Christmas period with Covid. Unforunetly due to the business being hit by covid the majority of our staff were at home isolating, for this reason, the remaining staff we did have were in the warehouse trying to get orders out as quickly as possible but sadly we could not meet the demands of free next day delivery service and our emails became backlogged. Delivery took longer than expected although it did arrive in time for Christmas. Tried to phone to enquire about status but recorded message said phone lines had been taken down due to staff shortages. Therefore, sent several emails but no reply received. Item did arrive just before Christmas but would have expected a reply to emails and apology. Additionally, there was no email to inform me item had been shipped. Communication not good. Rather disappointing overall.

Your order was on the 6 working day delivery timeframe and I can see you have received your order within the advised timeframe. Unforunetly our business was hit by covid in December and the majority of the customer service team were at home isolating. The staff we did have in were busy in the warehouse getting orders out in time for Christmas. For this reason, our phone lines were off (advised on the website) and our emails became backlogged.
