“As with any online butcher, sometimes the quality is trumped by the volumes that have to be fulfilled. Overall, I have had good experience with Swaledale, but the last few times the buthery has been questionable.”

“Absolutely first class service and, excellent produce. As an elderly couple, we're unable to get out so much, so to be able to have such superior quality meat delivered to our door is a Godsend. I would definitely, highly, recommend. I've given all a 5* rating, rather than rate each item individually.”

“Delivery on time, beautiful belly pork and rolled shoulder of pork. The skin crackled. Bones left in the belly pork which I removed.”

“Best out of the 3 I have tried so far. Chops are nice and thick will be using again. Only criticism is with couriers who took 2 days to deliver ok maybe in winter but would not be acceptable in summer”

“Ordered three types; 4 x pork chops, 4 barnsley chops and two beef short ribs: Jacobs Ladder. All arrived too quickly so I had to put the chops in the freezer! We are having the ribs to day + Hasselback potatoes and greens; can't wait!”

“Lovely looking meat. We've only eaten the chops out of our orders far but they were delicious. We particularly liked that all the packaging including the chill blocks can be re-used & recycled.”

“We return to Swaledale because we are assured of quality products that have been derived from well looked after animals. The ordering is seamless, the delivery from DPD is excellent. From our last batch we have eaten the 'hanger steak' and it was delicious cooked and cold the next day, melt in the mouth, the cooking instructions were clear and helpful. The silverside looks fabulous and will grace the Xmas table after it has been spiced.”

“This is my first order with Swaledale. I have tried the special Bocca Di Lupo sausage & found it very plain & a little salty i have actually had better Cumberland Sausage ! The Porcetta i have not yet tried but it appears to be stuffed with Sausage meat ?”

“We bought from you last year and had a very minor problem (no giblets in the chicken), which was dealt with very well by yourselves. We have tried to buy locally (we are in Cumbria) but haven't found anything that matches the depth of flavour of your chicken particularly - and the beef too. The order was delivered quickly, on time and very well packaged. We have eaten the chicken we ordered - we're quite good home cooks but we followed the instructions on your website and it was perfectly cooked. The rest is in the freezer - we prefer to eat it fresh but the order requirements do make that pretty impossible - not a criticism. We will order again - and order our Christmas turkey from you. Many thanks.”
