Awful experience! Ordered a 3.2kg piece of belly pork apparently ready trimmed with no rind so I could make bacon, what I received was a piece that had nearly all outside fat removed and over 2kg of it was 10-15mm thick in total rendering it useless! When contacted their resolution was 50% of the original price of the belly pork on my next order! 🙄

Bought a very expensive capon for Christmas dinner , came with a use by date of the 25 th December, not helpful if you want to eat leftovers beyond this day. The whole idea of using a butcher like this is to make Christmas easier and to get a better product and service than you would get in a supermarket not make it more difficult and make me have to go out and buy a bird from an alternative source. Very disappointing.

We provided full clarification regarding the safety of the product and explained the bird was from the same stock that had been reared specifically for Christmas for all of our customers. That you were left with any uncertainty is very unfortunate, however we maintain that your Christmas Cockerel was of the highest quality and posed no risk to health whatsoever as had been your concern. Sadly, most of the meat was squashed and it wasn't squashed by delivery as the delivery box was fine - it seemed to have been squashed prior to packing.

I wasn’t pleased with the porterhouse steak …… for the cost..I expected it to be shrink wrapped…BUT it was loose in a large plastic bag …

I was very disappointed with my purchase from Swaledale. The delivery was late which meant the meat parcel was in an unrefrigerated van for over 15 hours. The courier did not attempt to notify me that he had arrived and just left the meat parcel in the shed and if it hadn't have been for my security camera, it would have been lying there overnight. I tried cooking the pig cheeks, which were very small and fatty, in the slow cooker for nearly six hours and then tried to crisp the skin in my air fryer. It was a disaster. So much fat under the skin that I had to scrape off because it was so thick and slimy. What meat was there was covered in fat and although we attempted to eat it, it ended up in the bin. I haven't tried cooking the beef cheeks and I dread to think how they will turn out. Never again will I purchase anything from this company!! Never again will I order from this company

Never received the goods due to failed delivery. I received a notification from DPD that goods have perished as not delivered in time. I’ve received no emails on or contact to arrange refund or re order?

Perhaps it's your delivery company's fault and not yours but I ordered the meat on April 11 and it didn't arrive until April 17. Weekend barbecue plans were kiboshed. Very disappointing.

On offer was a 20% discount for 4x multi-buy, which despite ordering under, I never received at check-out. Hopefully, my card will be refunded or my account credited.

I placed an order with you recently and spent £68. I have cooked 2 of the products now and submitted a review on 1 of them which was the bacon which I was quite disappointed with. My review has not been published, why not? As a result of this I have no trust in you as a business or of the products you offer because the reviews you list are obviously not a true representation of your products and quite frankly I find this practice dishonest. This is a shame because when I cooked the Jacobs latter ribs I was pleased with them and would have left a review stating so. Anyway I won’t be ordering from you again not based on your products, but because of the lack of integrity of the business as a whole.

DPD left the box on the floor of my driveway overnight. I emailed Swaledale with my food safety concern, knowing that it was a DPD issue. They dismissed my concerns and even just repeated DPDs lies that I have video evidence to disprove. I replied to the email and have heard nothing since which means I have wasted £200 and Swaledale appear to just not care.

I was really disappointed to order high quality meat to be delivered to my home, and for the produce to be left on the street outside my house by the delivery driver instead of him knocking on the door to notify us he had arrived. Please change your shipping company. Even Amazon manage a better service than that.

Purchase wasn’t what I hoped for a quality was poor, I was In contact with Jorge directly and mentioned this to him via text but heard nothing back. Used Swaledale plenty of times at the restaurant but never again

Very disappointing and annoying. Ordered Venison fillet and other things for Xmas many weeks in advance. Got an email confirming delivery 3 days in advance, then another email the next day stating that they had no venison and could not deliver leaving no time to get any more before Xmas. Will not use again

Very disappointed with Swaledale. We ordered the Christmas box which was meant to arrive on the 23rd December when it hadn’t arrived in the afternoon I contacted Swaledale the response from the owner was very poor and the delivery never arrived. We had to spend a few hours of Christmas eve purchasing meat from different supermarkets which wasn’t ideal. He hasn’t replied to recent emails and no gesture of compensation which is unbelievable considering the stress it caused our family, we had for 14 people for dinner Christams day.My advice do not order your Christmas meat from Swaledale. There are companies that offer a far superior service and care about there customers!

With a price point of £80 for a rib of beef you'd expect unrivalled quality. The meat was tough, despite being cooked precisely using a reverse sear method, and the flavour was sub-par. Heavily disappointing.
