“We haven't finished eating our Mutton Box yet, but it has been great to eat good quality mutton again after many years. We both love Lamb and Hogget, but this meat is the real deal. A couple of years ago we tried some mutton from a very well known outlet near York. A bit like The Old Grey Goose. Almost inedible! But the meat from Swaledale is the Real Deal. We'll be back!”

“We ordered a shoulder if.mutton as well as additional items to bring the cost up to.kevel required for free delivery. Mutton and beef mince have been cooked and eaten and both were absolutely delicious. We are looking forward to eating other items from Swakedale. Unfortunately the high quality of Sawledale products was let down by delivery service. Meat didn't arrive on promised date and was looking at alternative locally available for substitutes should order notvarrive in time. Hence only 4 stars. An online fresh food retailer is only as good as its courier service.”

“Really fabulous quality lamb packed well and delivered on time. The cold packs were still frozen and the lamb still cool on arrival, which is not always the case with other online butchers. Really very impressed and will order again.”

“I was looking for a different roast for an Easter family lunch and was very pleased with the boneless chicken with wild garlic stuffing. I ordered pigs in blankets in case the chicken didn't quite stretch for 6 adults and 2 small children, but there was plenty to go round, with seconds too! Ordering was simple, and delivery was as promised and well-packaged. We haven't tried the Tuscan style sausages yet. I was a little confused by cooking advice for the chicken, so used my own judgement and experience.”

“Ordered a full shoulder of lamb, a full chicken, slab of pork belly and a topside of beef and we can honestly say it's some of the best meat we have ever had! The order arrived on time and was well pacakged although its a good job we were in as the delivery person just left it on the doorstep despite us giving a 'safe place' on the order. This won't put us off from ordering again though as the produce was all 5 star.”

“Great meat in top condition let down by a packaging problem with one pack of meat but received a very quick and fair response from Customer Services. I would have no hesitation in using them again.”
