“it is an easy site to use it is let down by the chat line which is useless no help what so ever. and it is very hard to get you to accept £5 worth of books this should be lowered to ten books.”

“First time user - WBB relieved us of four boxes of books we no longer wanted but were too good to waste and we received just over £120. Inputting titles via barcode was dead easy - and fascinating to see what WBB wanted or didn't. Pick up was efficient - but prepare ahead to have the right boxes - and payment was quick enough. We'll do it again. Roger T.”

“Typing in the isbn number for each product is a tad tedious, and it would be better if there was a scanning system where you could use the phone camera. When I emailed for support, I received no response. Then when my first collection failed (which is an issue with the courier admittedly), I called customer service who told me I had to log back in to my account, change the delivery option and rearrange another collection and they couldn't do anything themselves. It would also be good to receive email updates on progress status as I had to keep logging in and checking manually. But on the whole, good concept and glad to free up some shelf space.”

“Convenience is what makes this service work, as their valuation wasn't what I'd hoped for. I probably could have gotten twice as much or more for many of the books I sold to WeBuyBooks, but it may have taken me 2-3 months to find buyers online (plus monthly seller fees depending on which site I used) as some of the books were academic volumes. After I did a library clear out and had about 30 books to get rid of en masse, WBB was such an easy option. They sent a courier to my flat to collect and all I had to do was box the stuff up beforehand. There were a few days lag between collection, processing and payment, but I expected that so wasn't worried or disappointed in the process.”

“Despite receiving an email on 2 Jul stating that my payment has been processed, I have still not received my cheque on 19 Jul. Sent items to a competitor web site and received my cheque 2 days after they received them!”

“This is the third time I have sold books through Webuybooks. Really simple, you type in the ISBN number, the offer price pops up or a clear message that they don't want that book, you parcel them up, Hermes collect them from your door, cheque arrives in the post a week later for the amount they said when you entered the books in. So, just right.”

“Helpful and easy site to use. Prices are clear and agreed on. Unfortunately there are a lot of books that are not wanted, even when they state that category is required e.g.cookery books. It takes a while to get your money if you choose to have a cheque but that was my own choice not having used them before. In future I might change my choice. Very good being able to have a collection from home and by request they will print labels for you. All in all a good way of getting rid of some of my books and making a small amount of money.”

“Well you did what you said you would. But I have a great number of books which you obviously have been selective in your choice by only purchasing a small amount from me. It would appear that charity shops will benefit from the rest!”

“We buy books is a useful way to get rid of unwanted books. However, the amount they pay is minuscule. They then put their purchases on eBay and dominate the market for second hand books. I try to find new homes for unwanted books.”
