I bought 2 books from the UK to America, and they put the 2 books in a paper envelope, so the one book got damaged, so not packaged well at all. The book was described as (Unread copy in perfect condition. Dust cover is intact with no nicks or tears. Spine has no signs of creasing. Pages are clean and not marred by notes or folds of any kind.) This book was very much read, spine was totally unattached to the pages and board cover bent backwards, the book was signed to someone and a note with signature from not the writer, the dust cover in back had very deap scratch marks all over it. I asked to return for a refund and send me a label, however they wrote to me and asked me to send it to the New York facility- with me paying for the shipping costs, and they would refund me after I get a receipt- Whom does that?? I want to add photos but don't see an option for that.

AVOID THESE FRAUDULENT SCAMMERS!! THEY WILL LIE AND STEAL FROM YOU. SHAMELESS. JUST LOOK AT THE NUMBER OF NEGATIVE REVIEWS FROM THIS MONTH (SEPT. 25). A SCAM.

I sent in two boxes of books. In the first I sent in some new unread books. They said there was damage but also wouldn't prove it. It wasn't the end of the world but when they do this I would rather just give my books to the charity shop in the future. Just feels very dishonest

I was not able to sell my books - the items weighed more than the limit for one parcel so I divided them into two parcels as per the instructions. When RM arrived to collect the parcels they only had one label. Due to the length of time it took WBB to respond to my query I was unable to resolve the issue in time to post them and had to donate the books to charity. I missed out on over £30 (and the charity received a good number of excellent quality books.)

I have 2 complaints against WOB. On 2 occasions my selling has stated "books not received". Ironically they include the most expensive ones. I could not get through on the busy telephone. I have had to use 3 different emails but still query is not resolved.

Despite publicity which promises a speedy response and pay out, my second parcel of books has been "en route" for 2 weeks now. When I first used this service, having listed half my books I took a short break but returning to the screen found that my listing had disappeared. Very annoying. On asking for an explanation and ways to prevent this happening again I received no reply. All in all, I am not impressed and I question whether I will use you again.

I sent several books to SellMyBooks/Ziffit in excellent condition—clean, intact, and fully readable. They later claimed some were “damaged” without offering any proof, refused payment, and conveniently cited their terms and conditions to avoid returning the books or discussing the issue any further. It’s clear that once they receive your items, they can say whatever they want and you have no way to challenge it. No transparency, no accountability, and absolutely no integrity in how they operate. I strongly advise against using this service. There are other companies out there who treat their customers with honesty and respect—this is not one of them.

I have completed x2 trades with 'webuybooks' and on both occasions they have deemed one or more of the books I've sent as unacceptable condition to sell. When in fact they were better condition than some I had bought/received from we buy books!! When you are then asked one of two options; they recycle or they send back to you. So on second occasion I asked for it to be sent back. Only to find they have deducted to cost from the amount they then pay you! When I queried this, I get the statement, it was all written in the terms and conditions small print. Nice bidding behind the small print, only to then sell these free 'acceptable' books on their websites at a profit, from unsuspecting honest customers like us. Would not recommend, and have deleted the app. Pj.

Loyal customer since 2019. Every one of last 10 trades has been lost by Evri which has meant entire process each time has taken 6 wks. Am now using ziffitt

Returned three of my books that I requested returned, but those "not in the offer" have disappeared. Although they were in the original offer. Less than impressed this time. I did expect those to be returned as well.

I've sent some books to them one of which was an unwonted birthday present ( so the book was new ) and after about a week I got an email saying that due to water Damage they would cut almost £5 from a deal agreed with me. I dropped of the box in a perfect state. There was no damage to it. I think this is their way of scamming people from what they should be paying. Absolutely disgraceful. Massive scam !

they were excellent but when a problem arose useless I found my accepted offer with box of books too heavy to lift so I printed an extra label and made up 2boxes then asked if this was ok reply you can get a bigger box at supermarket try again this time the response was book fo order to be collected If I cant lift the box I cant get it outside !! what can I do well just trade elsewhere I dont have any option surely there could have been a better solution..no evn we are sorry

Terrible seller on Ebay. AVOID ! Terrible seller ! Bought three books from their Ebay store which showed on the listing that if you bought one you would get 20% discount off another two books.... but I didn't get the discount. After contacting them they said they didn't apply discounts. Spoke with Ebay who told me differently and that the seller was in control of discounts and to explain to Webuybooks and ask if they would give the discount. Webuybooks just gave the same short answer that they didn't apply discounts. Pretty disgusted by this seller. I buy a lot of books and wont be buying any from this seller ever again. So my advice is to avoid this seller as you wont get the discounts on your purchases as listed. there are plenty of other reputable sellers to choose from

PLEASE DON'T USE THIS COMPANY They lie about the condition of your items, refuse to return your items & don't pay you for anything. Extremely rude customer service. They block you on social media because they don't like your comments about their service. I have contacted trading standards about them. PLEASE BE AWARE OF THEM. THEY ARE SCAMMERS 😡

Part of my transaction was a brand new box set of books in new condition which they offered me over £5 for. They then deducted that money stating they were heavily stained which is not true. They offered to send back if I paid or they would dispose of them. You have no recourse really if they decide to make false claims about the condition of the items.

We buy books is a wonderful idea. HOWEVER they use EVRI to collect their parcels, who are unbeliveably unrealiable. I have wasted three whole days this week waiting for EVRI to collect my parcels. The first collection was due Monday; they said I was out- but I was in. This collection was postponed to Friday -but now (Friday)the EVRI site says there is no trace of my parcels on their system. They said the same this Wednesday- I had a second set of parcles due for collection; stayed in all day, and they said I was out. I cannot speak to a human on EVRI. Webuybooks phone number is engaged all day so far. I am almost in tears. We are having to clear out books bfore a move, to help our rseriously ill daughter. This extra stress is just too much.
