They often buy books that others don’t and buying those without bar codes is great but they often have errors and many missing titles which you try to email them about but they just refer you to the list which is an endless doom loop. Having to find £7.50 for a minimum trade is the most off putting part thing about using this company.

Easy to use, but the number of items they then reject for no good reason isn't good. I.e. bent spine on a paperback - what do you expect if it has been read!

Decided to try this. Surpised at how many books they did not want and surprised, both ways, with some of the valuations. Sent off the package which was dealt with quickly and communication was good. Main disappointment, which I had seen previously, was that a book was rejected there due to faults with the binding. this was one of the more expensive books and I know for a fact that it was in virtually perfect condition (a thin travel guide and we never went to the place!). It does seem a coincidence, as others have found that the most valued books are regularly rejected on site, since it fell below their threshold for return, it is lost. Will not use this co again as I fear that this is a pattern that is likely to be repeated.

If Webuybooks accept the titles, the process is easy. However, becasue they reject twice as many as they accept, it becomes a time consuming effort for no result. Frankly, a lot of effort for not much return.

Prices should be a little more than what is been asked for.

Easy to do and they take most books. But the price they pay for some quality expensive books is minimal.

To get the minimum that we buy books would take (£10) I had to scan hundreds of books ! I am a volunteer in a volunteer run library. I won’t be using we buy books again!

Great collection service but only pennies per book. Good for making space I suppose.

All OK though there was a mix up with the collection date. I went for the first one although I wasn't going to be in all day. Phoned your office and said I'd leave it out for Royal Mail to collect, which happened OK. R Mail also called the next day thinking there might be another. I was able to thank them and reassure them there was only the one.

Great app, bar code scan is easy as is input of ISBN on older non barcoded books. Parcel drop off is great, I can post the boxes in my own time at a local drop off Evri/Royal Mail without waiting around for a courier. Only issue…. quite a few books rejected and almost alway - the higher value ones 🤔😆 Reasons given are - damage or missing…. When I know they were in good condition and definitely in the box. So between me boxing them and the assessor pricing them …. something happens. Maybe at the unboxing dept 😳🤔

To many books refused or only a few pence paid eg 10p But what is the cheapest book anyone can purchase from you ? Also when a book is refused at your end - there's no evidence - just someone's opinion!

A simple process, but many of the books I scanned were only worth 10p or were not recognised. By the time I had found sufficient books to make up the minimum batch I had to spread them across three boxes and then it was a scrabble to find any that had lids or sealed well enough to be collected by Royal Mail. I was left feeling a little 'in limbo' as I did not see the postie actually stick the labels onto the boxes, although he did arrive at our front door with them he took the boxes away before sticking the labels on. It took a couple of days for the money to arrive in my bank account once they had arrived at WeBuyBooks, having accepted the quote before sending my books off. The questionaire below is a little misleading as it refers to 'delivery' when it was a collection, and I do not know if the parcels were damaged on arrival as I did not witness their delivery!

I like dealing with We Buy Books because they don't claim not to have received books you've sent, pay well for non-fiction books and don't normally reject items I consider to be passable. However, the disadvantages are they accept fewer items than other companies, often pay less for novels and you can't use lockers, so I have to go to the post office and stand in line to post a box. My last trade was fine, although they rejected a DVD as being scratched. I had watched the film a few days before sending it and there was no problem with it. This was an item with a higher than average offer price.

I have used Webuybooks for some years. I use their app downloaded on my phone, and scan second hand books for sale in various places. Communication, packing and sending are rarely a problem, and we sometimes discuss problems by email. I have noticed some changes recently: the minimum price for a consignment has risen to £7.50 from £5, and offers for many books seem to have fallen, although a few offers are very generous. This makes it more difficult compared to working with some other book buyers, to complete a profitable consignment. Brian

You rejected or did not recognise twice as many as you accepted

After carefully packaging and making sure all booked were in the box I was dismayed to see non payment for not receiving books. You put your trust in sending a package to find they don’t all arrive!! Sad really I know I packed them!! The box arrived in one piece!!

I like the red and green banners that makes life easy. I am not a fan of the other banners which get in the way when scanners many items. Prices are also low now that the minimum is £7.50. I would take advantage of privaleged user if it wasnt for the fact you want personal information when its a charity

Seem to reject a lot of items that you can’t then get back. Roughly half of 2 packages. For me not worth the hassle of scanning and packing for so little return.

I was very happy until they raised the amount per transaction to £7.50 and, at the same time, appeared to reduce the amount offered per book. By the time you've uploaded a few books and tried to save them in the app, it fails to save sometimes, then a few days later you get an email saying your trade is closing. Either you have to stack up a large pile to try to sell all at once or you are constantly hunting for things to add.
