“I sold some books a few weeks ago but had trouble with a label so an advisor sorted it out and sent me 2 by email so that was sorted. But was disappointed that one book I sent was rejected even though it was accepted on the web site.”

“We had quite a lot of books to scan and ended up with over 90 items that were accepted. One of the problems is the transportation - the number of boxes expected by WBB and the number of boxes we had used. I was told that I should have used bigger boxes and that the expected weight per box was 20kg. I could not do that because I have no larger boxes and I would have not been able to lift them anyway. I appreciate the extra cost incurred by WBB but could do nothing to resolve the problem. My solution for the future is to send in smaller numbers even though I will not get the bonus for reaching certain amounts.”

“A simple process, but many of the books I scanned were only worth 10p or were not recognised. By the time I had found sufficient books to make up the minimum batch I had to spread them across three boxes and then it was a scrabble to find any that had lids or sealed well enough to be collected by Royal Mail. I was left feeling a little 'in limbo' as I did not see the postie actually stick the labels onto the boxes, although he did arrive at our front door with them he took the boxes away before sticking the labels on. It took a couple of days for the money to arrive in my bank account once they had arrived at WeBuyBooks, having accepted the quote before sending my books off. The questionaire below is a little misleading as it refers to 'delivery' when it was a collection, and I do not know if the parcels were damaged on arrival as I did not witness their delivery!”

“Really easy to use WBB, they offer slightly less than WOB but the process is so much quicker and also they don’t muck you around like wob does with “quality grades” and lying about whether books were received or not. In the end you have to weigh up how much you make vs doing a boot fair, when you haven’t got a car anyway, it’s a no-brainer!”

“Very efficient and easy way to offload books, DVDs and CDs. Not all items are accepted and for some you only get 10p, but a great alternative to throwing away. I was impressed you can get them picked up from home for free.”

“We've used webuybooks for a few years now as one of the income streams to keep oiur community library open. The service is excellent, easy to use and transparent. Books are sometimes rejected but that's par for the course; and we still giggle over the reason one book was rejected - 'nibbled'. Great service.”
